## Squarespace Reviews
 ### 1. User-friendly and flexible platform for novices and experts

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie C. | UX Designer and Researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace easily allows many types of users to create their own websites. WhenI began using Squarespace, I barely had an understanding how to create a visually appealing and professional online portfolio. Their platform is so flexible that the more time I've spent using the site, the more confident I've become in my ability to create a more nuanced portfolio. They make me feel like I'm in control of my site - but not without their help.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Despite the positives, Squarespace is not a one-size-fits-all platform. My biggest frustration is that their downfall is literally in their name - you have to fit everything in squares. For most websites, this is a common-sense thing. But when trying to upload photos to my site, I often feel frustrated because they are so difficult to format. It takes a lot of patience to make them consistent in size and shape. It may just be a user-error, but I've talked to other about this and it seems to be a platform-wide issue.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allows me to showcase my UX work online to create a professional and appealing portfolio. I can easily update my portfolio as my work changes, and it allows me to save drafts and come back to certain pages I'm still creating. It's super flexible in this way!

 ### 2. Good for beginners, limited for advanced users

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego P. | Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is a user-friendly platform with a nice layout. Beginners can get started quickly with the features they offer. It's basic yet has a lot of features to put together a decent site with your own branding.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The fact that you can't access the html code directly is very annoying (you can only insert blocks of code). I have to rely on whatever options they give me and cannot make custom edits to the code of existing blocks. If you want to make special tables or open links in new tabs, it's not easy to do. I also find that for SEO, it lacks the capabilities of Wordpress and its SEO pugins.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run our blog on Squarespace at the moment, and it works fine, but as we scale our content strategy we need to move our content to Wordpress hosted blog. It does the job for now.

 ### 3. Easily create a maintain a professional website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole W. | Freelance Writer/Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's pretty intuitive to use and easy to navigate. The templates look really good and make an it easy to keep a clean, professional appearance. Most of the controls are very intuitive and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It's way too easy to delete a live webpage. I can see how you could accidentally delete the wrong page and then have a lot of stress trying to recover what you've lost. Proceed with caution!

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Check out what you can do on mobile! There's some management and updating you can do there that's quick and easy. But be careful when you are make changes to a live page, especially deleting stuff, you don't want to accidentally do something that will make it difficult for you later on.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Maintaining and editing a professional webpage without coding or HTML abilities. Websites are essential for modern business but not everyone has the knowledge to build one from scratch or can afford to pay someone for every little update. Their tools make it easy to maintain and even make changes like adding pages.

 ### 4. Glad I migrated to SS 2.0

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

What I like the best about Squarespae is that it is intuitive and user friendly. I can have several of my team members go into the platform and make updates, send out newsletters and add more to the website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish there were more creative options available for the homepage -- for example, the ability to have moving photo carousels, or several video clips. I would like to see improvements in this area.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its been a great partner for our promotions as an organization -- the newsletter creation function, our website (one that has grown with us as we've grown), and also integration with various programs we use such as Google and Network for Good.

 ### 5. Squarespace Good, but still Somewhat Confusing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I have used Squarespace for about 14 years now and have found their interface to be somewhat easy to use. As WYSIWYG editors go, it's fairly self-explanatory, and there are a wide range of templates to choose from.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Although Squarespace has a wide variety of templates, it's much more difficult to control the colors, font height, and find the features to edit each particular section than it was 14 years ago. Customization is not as easy as it used to be, and the wide array of templates within each style can become confusing.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used Squarespace in the past to write a blog, and am currently using it as a placeholder for a webpage dedicated to a business I'm building. I appreciate the insights, but there's nothing in the interface I can't find in other builders.

 ### 6. Very good, easy to use & high performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander H. | B, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy, fast & high performance. Other people comment how good they are

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

not much. everything is good. The shopping cart & e-commerce is focussed on US residents I think.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

hosting good quality sites

 ### 7. Easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alison Y. | Copywriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The templates are beautiful and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Limited capacity to edit templates and the email marketing function is limited

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Easy to use, the support is good.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Templates are already pre-built so I don't need design expertise to build a website

 ### 8. Great product for non-coders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole K. | Mission Advancement Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy to use, looks beautiful and professional.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It doesn't have every tool we needed, so we had to outsource some plugins, but they were easy to install.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Great tool if you don't want to outsource your website

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving us a lot of time and keeps our brand looking updated and clean.

 ### 9. My favourite website builder for creating beautifully designed websites

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that Squarespace allows you to have easy control over any changes that need to be made, so it's a small learning curve for my clients.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Some things need coding for extra customization, which can be tricky when you're trying to DIY.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allows any person, brand, or business to have an online presence. With just a bit of planning, you can have a website up in no time!

 ### 10. Best Website Builder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kira D. | Communication Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is very easy to use, especially for people that are not very computer savvy. I was able to build a professional-looking website very quickly. As a podcaster, Squarespace makes it very easy to manage a podcast. Squarespace has the best customer service I have ever expereinced.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I would like to have more statistics integration with podcast players. It would also be great to have more guidance for SEO optimization. Both of these aspects are touched on in Squarespace but more information would be amazing.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Look no further. I have tried Weebly, WordPress, and so many other website builders. It is easy to create beautiful sites.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to reach people throughout the world and introduce them to my podcast. Current listeners can also find more information about our podcast on our website. I love how Squarespace makes it easy to organize everything in a beautiful presentation.

 ### 11. Squarespace is a great way to build a website and sell services!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard Q. | Co-Owner, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The interface to create a nice-looking and lead-producing website is fantastic! It is super easy to set the e-commerce portion and has lots of great tools to help you collect and respond to leads. You can integrate other services such as Mailchimp if needed, too.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Some add-ons can get a little pricey, but most are worth the extra cost. Also, some of the tools can be hard to find, but once you learn your way around the platform, it's easy sailing.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Squarespace to host my business website, where I have my blog posts and an area for people to book appointments with me. It also takes payments from the clients, so I don't have to. It's great to have everything on one website where my clients and I are happy with the whole process.

 ### 12. Stay Away ... Run Away ... from SquareSpace

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Don't let this company reel you in with promises they can't keep and terrible tech support. If you want an easy, no-frills, no functionality site then SquareSpace is for you.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

My experience with SquareSpace has been horrible. Functionality limitations are all over the place. Lost a MAJOR client because of it. Tech support is useless. Can't even purchase emails without running into roadblocks. I've had the same issues repeatedly for months and months and they don't fix them.

Instructions and help topics on the site are no longer relevant...not updated.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've lost a major client because of the lack of commerce functionality and tech support.

 ### 13. Exceptionally user-friendly and easy to update

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niki H. | Business & Marketing Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's just incredibly easy to use, to update, to add SEO, sections, page layouts ...

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Image sizing and the fact that you can't delete images that have been uploaded.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No coding required

 ### 14. Simple to set up and maintain

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cory (CJ) P. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's very easy to set up, add or modify content and it looks great.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

It's not particularly customizable if your selected template doesn't include a new feature standard. Can be hard to optimize from a technical SEO standpoint.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed a quick and cheap website w basic functionality but that could show off lots of pictures.

 ### 15. Great for beginners but design is quite repetitive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cody G. | Owner/Operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that I can edit websites using my web browser without any special software. This also allows me to train my clients easily since it's drag and drop. Usability is a big plus especially with smaller clients.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Even though the base templates have many options, I feel like every single Squarespace site I have seen has looked generally the same, which means that a website won't stand out as much. I can look at a website and say to myself "this is a Squarespace site" without even looking at the coding.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Make sure to pick a good template and edit it enough so it looks different.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client training is a big deal for me, and Squarespace makes editing their sites super fast and super easy. I can easily onboard clients and teach them how to use their site much quicker than other options such as Wordpress.

 ### 16. Squarespace Offers Ample Space on Cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keith T. | Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The way it makes it seamless to design websites without coding via JQuery and HTML5.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Everything is perfect, but it is a bit confusing to install new plugins.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website hosting.

Content management.

 ### 17. I switched from Squarespace to Ucraft, and I am so happy.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aimee L. | Photographer/graphic designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I liked the look of Squarespace. It was very user-friendly, had nice template options, and was easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The cost. That's the thing I disliked most, and if they were competitive, I probably would have stayed.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

If you can afford it, Squarespace is great. Otherwise, choose Ucraft.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace had nice features like integrating the URL purchasing/cutting out the middle man for a seamless user experience.

 ### 18. Exceptional Website Builder with Easy to Use WYSIWYG Editor Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boris F. | Head of Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace offers easy to use WYSIWYG editor tools which involve drag and drop when creating websites.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I have never experienced any drawback on my end when using Squarespace.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Yes if you can afford it, otherwise consider few insights prior to decision making.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Boost SEO through content management on websites.

Integrated with payment gateways such as PayPal and Stripe.

 ### 19. Squarespace: Just what you need to do what you do

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's easy – especially if you've used any sort of web-design or content-management tool. Even if you haven't it's really intuitive. Of course, that wouldn't mean a thing if it didn't create great-looking websites – which it does. The templates are useful and easily modified, and the integration with Unsplash is a definite plus.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

As with any template-based tool, there are never enough templates, and they can't be modified to the nth degree. It would be nice to be able to stretch text, have a mini-Photoshop for graphics, and even be able to do your brand assets right in the platform, a la Canva or Illustrator. But that would probably take its capabilities outside the realm of usability for many users.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Have a little bit of experience modifying web content. Understand what makes a good website to you and try to emulate that with your own site. Squarespace lets you get really close to many of your favorite websites.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need a website for my business, and Squarespace lets me have a good one. Obviously the web presence is great, but the fact that it's so easy to modify and add content really helps with SEO.

 ### 20. Simple, Time-Saving, and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

After years of using a custom web design program, the Internet became too complex for a small non-profit like ours to keep up with all of the rapid advances. Enter Squarespace. The easy-to-use drag and drop capabilities saved so much time updating our website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Although Squarespace continues to improve, I have given up some custom-design capabilities. Although I wish I could make some custom tweaks, the time and ease of making updates are well worth the tradeoff.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue I am solving by using Squarespace is saving time updating our website yet maintaining a professional look. The old saying is true; time is money. Having the e-commerce platform integrated and easy to use is gold (pun intended).

 ### 21. Worked perfectly for my website at a fantastic price!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nelson R. | Legal Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The first thing I love about Squarespace is the price. I decided to make my own website for my acting/modeling career and Squarespace allowed me to keep my startup costs very low because their prices are so affordable. I also love that you don't have to be a web designer to use their templates and make a good-looking website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

As I said, I'm not a website designer, so I was limiited to the templates they had available. Squarespace does a nice job providing multiple options, but it would always be great to have more customizable choices and more templates to fit the look I'm going for. I was definitley satisfied with what I got for the price, but it did kind of feel like my website was a bit "cookie cutter" looking compared to what I had seen other people produced who recommended Squarespace to me. That being said, I feel like what i got for the price I paid was well worth it for me.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

To any other actors or models out there, Squarespace had some really cool templates that allowed me to display my portfolio on my front page and have other links to stuff like my resume or agency contacts. I was able to set up the website in a way that was really easy for agents to look at and got some nice compliments from my representation at the time

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Biggest problem I solved with Squarespace was making my own website without spending a ton of money. I had never done anything like this before, so it was awesome to get something so cheap that looks so good! I've also realized that it's not nearly as hard as it sounds to create a platform for your business if you have the right tools. It made me feel much more professional being able to link my website to my emails, have a website with all of my images to send to prospective agents or provide during casting calls, and to market myself on my own as well. I had never considered building a website before until a good friend of mine recommended I try Squarespace and I'm very glad I did.

 ### 22. Website Builder of this Era

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy Y. | Sr Manager - Events and Video Production, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace allows me to effectively create stunning websites rapidly via drag and drop editor functionality.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Some tools like plugins incur additional cost.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing websites rapidly with free CSS templates which doesn't involve any code.

 ### 23. Great Web Builder For a Budget, But Limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is easy to use for anyone, even if you have no knowledge of coding. You can get a basic site up in hours. The interface is user-friendly - mostly drag and drop.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

If you are looking for advanced functionality or a custom website, look elsewhere. Squarespace is great for beginners who need to get a site up quickly. All custom work we have done on Squarespace has been custom coded. Even then, we still run into problems.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We recommend Squarespace to clients who have a low budget and want to be able to update their websites by themselves in the future. We can customize the templates with code, and they can easily update blog posts and products in the future.

 ### 24. Review for Squarespace

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I loved how easy to use Squarespace was.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

With Squarespace, I wasn't able to have two stores that I could transfer inventory between.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Squarespace was great for one store. I highly recommend it! It's so easy to enter products into the system and keep track of cost of goods sold!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was hand writing transactions, which made it hard to figure out the cost of goods sold and access total sales and total tax collected for sales tax collection.

 ### 25. Complete Website Building Platform To Sell Products Easily

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can create web pages with custom design with fully functional extensions and running in just minutes. The platform also integrates with eCommerce platforms, selling products directly on our business websites to earn money.

 ### 26. Easy for beginners :)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheridan J. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is pretty intuitive - I was able to teach myself how to do all the basic stuff I needed to do. It's pretty reasonably priced too, and when we needed to set-up e-comm functionality at short notice, it was so easy.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes it can be quite a rigid platform. I've been quite bound by the functionality of the platform at times. As someone who is not a beginner but also far from an expert, I find I'm in no-mans-land sometimes.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We set up a website for our charity - looks nice, clean, and simple. And easy to edit and add blog posts etc. when we need to do so. Also, it's pretty reasonably priced for what we need it for.

 ### 27. Effortly gorgeous.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie S. | Creative and Creator , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Its quick. Time is extremely valuable and it is so easy to choose a nice template, and throw together a website that looks beautiful and professional with a personal touch.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

If there is a downside, it is if you are new to the general build of a website it can be difficult if you want to stray from the template design. Some short how to's would be really great!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is invaluable to have a website of your own if you have your own brand or business. Being independent from social media, and also creating a hub in which people can find everywhere you sell or create.
Depending on your skill level, you can throw together something quick without knowing anything, or, code in your own designs and create something fabulous.

 ### 28. The easiest website builder !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehdi A. | Chief Marketing officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is really use to use and beginner friendly, it has a lot of awesome templates and the drag and drop builder makes it super easy to launch a nice looking website or landing page in record times without any coding or web design experience.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

the only suggestion I have to make squarepace even better is adding more cool templates to their library but other than there's nothing that I dislike about it.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace allows me to quickly launch new websites for my projects or for my clients and they're all responsive from the get go which is awesome, I also use it to quickly create stunning landing pages for our marketing campaigns.

 ### 29. Squarespace is perfect for everyone!

**Reviewed by:** Angela C. | Virtual Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

The sites always look like they're professionally created. Customer service is TOP notch!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I can't think of a thing that I don't like.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm creating websites or maintaining sites for change makers. The ease of creating the sites allows for quick setup and publishing.

 ### 30. Easy website hosting solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason W. | Technical Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like squarespaces' user-friendly design customization

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The advanced commerce plans are a bit pricey.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Can build a e- commerce store even on a tight budget.

 ### 31. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erica B. | Business Analyst Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like how it's picture-focused. I can showcase photos and organize them the way I want. It's also easy to use; after a few quick tutorials, you'll understand how to edit the website yourself. No expert experience is needed.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish the website were a little more customizable. I would love to be able to move sections or text or photos around the page more easily, but I understand that everything does look uniform, and that's the Squarespace style.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved the problem of needing a website that I can put together myself. I was also able to get my domain through Squarespace, which made the process easier overall.

 ### 32. Easy to use & sufficient in function

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cat K. | Communications Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace's design capabilities allow for all the customization I need, but auto-correct small things like alignment and formatting.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The analytics tools are pretty good (according to what I've read, they are actually more accurate than Google Analytics), but I need to be able to create custom metrics and dimensions and Squarespace doesn't seem to allow that.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

In my opinion, Squarespace is easier to use than Wordpress and less frustrating/glitchy. It is also a lot easier than Adobe Experience Manager, but doesn't allow for that level of custom coding or integration. If you do not have a web developer on staff, Squarespace is a really good option.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization has a beautiful website although none of us have coding or web development skills. Squarespace's dashboards and customization have allowed for this.

 ### 33. Easy to Use and Manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee D. | Instructional Technology Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Easy to use and manage everything for a small business without training or business background. Easy to create, share, and execute.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Square alerts you on the main website, not the mobile site, to update information. The last time they did that, they held payments to my account for over a week, which can be tough on a small business owner.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am staying more organized with my small business and able to onboard, schedule, and pay employees quickly.

 ### 34. Squarespace is a great solution for a small business owner lacking website design skills

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace was easy to learn in a short period of time. They provided guidance on everything, including text and videos. They also provided limited guidance related to interfaces with other software, which was helpful. Additionally, Squarespace is so widely used that there are tons of Youtube how-to videos if you want to learn more about something.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Although you can adjust spacing to some extent, I didn't experience the degree of flexibility I had hoped for. Sometimes I wanted to bring two images or text boxes closer together, but could not.
Also, Squarespace has room to improve related to web accessibility to accommodate site visitors of all abilities.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

There are a lot of Youtube how-to videos on Squarespace. If you're not sure it's the right solution for you or not confident in your ability to use this produce to build a website by yourself, watch some of the videos to gain perspective.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to make any changes at any time without relying on a third party to make changes for me. As a result, my business is more nimble and I can accommodate client interests more quickly.

 ### 35. Turnkey solution for DIY Website building

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne K. | Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I moved over from a competitor (Wordpress) over a year ago, and Squarespace offers a far superior, more user-friendly experience. The interface is highly intuitive, and I'm no longer plagued with spam.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Templates could be more customisable. I'm very happy with the look of my site, but I'd like to be able to tweak some UI aspects a bit more.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to update my website without having to pay for and wait for a web-designer to do it is a great experience.

 ### 36. The best website builder for most small businesses.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron R. | Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is incredibly easy to use, maintain, learn, and share. It's got so many features to help new (and long-time) users create stunning websites that stand out online.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The two areas that Squarespace needs some work: customization and as a company. They're great at the simple things but don't give pro users the ability or backing to go all-in on designs that require more than the platform's design.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Just give it a shot! It's so easy to get started.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping high-end service brands appear high-end online.

 ### 37. The best site builder for non-coding (or elementary coding) people who need to launch their site

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Love that no matter what you do, you're able to make a polished site. Squarespace has made it easy and foolproof to build a website quickly and effectively. The plethora of website templates means theres a look for every type of person and personalization is easy. Love that the support, pages and pages of questions and answer and community to find help. Top notch. Great tool integration all around for 90% of users and ability to input CSS for the other 10% makes it a winner.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

A bit pricey for those not supporting businesses behind their site so not the top option for people wanting to make something cheap. For those who have outgrown all of the basic tools and need something a bit more personal, squarespace does not easily support without having to code even if the task is simple (ex. making an image full bleed vs have a border, but if the theme does not support this, you can't simply drag the image bigger, you have to inject code to hack those pieces. Also I don't love that there isn't any mobile customization. The themes come with their own mobile versions of sites that is automatically created based off of the desktop design - this means that there might be reordering of images etc with no way to change.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Do the trail and see if you like it and are able to use it. Good value if you are able to create your own site, saving the cost of hiring a designer!

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a personal portfolio that looks upscale and custom without having to hire a designer or learn complex coding. Small nuances like button animations, layered fades of images- make the difference here that set the platform apart - it sets the difference between an amateur site vs. a professional site.

 ### 38. Easy and reliable but limited

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Building pages on Squarespace is very easy. Pages are laid out in a grid and you can add rows and columns as you please, choosing from the building blocks given by Squarespace.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Websites built on Squarespace tend to look like each other unless you get a professional designer doing work that would probably be easier on another platform at that point. Building pages is easy, but building pages that look good AND unique is not easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Consider if you can live with the limited customization options before spending the time building out your entire website on this platform

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used Squarespace with the intention of it being easy enough for people without web page building experience to use. In that case, it has accomplished the goal. Squarespace's uptime reliability has been something I never needed to worry about.

 ### 39. Professional web design for amateurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniela E. | Service Designer | Co-founder , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace has a drag and drop feature that makes web design easy peasy.
But in order to make a good website, you should know the basics like information architecture, headings, photo labeling.

Otherwise, Google won't be able to fully understand your site, and this will impact your positioning on search.

Squarespace also offers a few plans for beginners, businesses, and e-commerce.

I suggest that if you're not an expert and you're getting proof of concept in your business (and won't be able to hire one at the moment), start with the beginner plan, create your site and improve it as you go. When you think you have a solid foundation then switch to business because then you can add SEO features. this way, you still have a website to show to your clients but won't be charged too much at the beginning when you're still figuring out how to create the user navigation etc.

Business and e-commerce have fantastic integrations like acuity for scheduling.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to change the default design for each element (like padding) without going into code (only business and eCommerce plans can change code). But other than that, I think this tool is great! very easy to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

if you're a solopreneur and can't afford a web designer, then learn about information architecture, headings, copywriting and how to optimize your content (photos included).
Squarespace is an amazing tool, is beautifully designed but none if that works if you don't know the basics of UX.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I created 2 websites using Squarespace:

- my personal brand (beginners plan)
- my interior design studio (switching from beginners to e-commerce)

These are very different business but still require an online presence.

For both of them I need to schedule meetings, display my work and create content for marketing purposes.

I realize that with the website templates available (that for the record the templates are beautiful), my job gets way easier because I just replace elements.

Squarespace works with may tools but I find these particular two very useful:
- a bank image: unsplash
- a color palette generator: coolors.com

so if you're uncertain of how to select a color palette for your site, what you can do is:
1. Go to unsplash to find a photo that represents what your business is about
2. Then go to Coolors and use that photo to generate that same color palette.

 ### 40. Stylish and Elegant websites just a touch away

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzaffar S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I absolutely love the templates that Squarespace offers, simple and elegant just as a professional might make it. The easy modular approach that it offers makes it a delight to use and create professional websites with a personal touch.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The pricing is an issue, while it is doable in dollars it's certainly expensive in the currency that we use. It would be really great if they could provide some good pricing plans in my region. Other than there are no issues that I have a problem with.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am managing my own websites and creating my own style, it has saved me a lot of effort and time that would get lost in explaining it to the developer. Helps me maintain a personal touch and sense of style for the websites I work on. It has been a great help at my consulting for E-commerce businesses..

 ### 41. Squarespace for easy integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

It's super easy to use. You do not have to have a lot of knowledge to start your website and get going. For example, I had a domain already, and I was able to link it to my Squarespace easily. If you don't have a domain they let you get one through them!

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I wish there were more options for websites, like if creators of websites could easily give you a customized website, so you don't have to go through taking one everyone uses. Also, I wish some of the social media features uploaded more quickly; it's a tad bit slow, or sometimes it will pull up an older account from your last sync.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

love it! Definitely use their customer support for any questions that you have, You can always start with a free website and then upgrade to a paid one. I think this is the best way i learned because I was not obligated to pay.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love being able to have my blog but also have my socials and products I recommend. It's super easy to have an updated website when using Squarespace and the price is affordable as well!

 ### 42. One Stop Shop For Your Personal Brand

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I like the innovation and ease of creating several pages. You can include your social media channels and also upload a storefront. If you are a creator or small business owner this makes it easy to include your past work and also make purchases available directly through your own site.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I dislike that you have to have a premium account to see more in depth analytics.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

I recommend incorporating your portfolio through Squarespace for a professional and sleek look that also allows you to integrate personal branding through design features.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving problems of needing more than one platform. I used to have a blog and a website for my business and portfolio. Squarespace has made it easy to incorporate my blog into my website so now my portfolio and professional work can be tied into my brand and all be found in one place.

 ### 43. Easy and intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love how straightforward Squarespace is and how nice it can make your website look. I think almost anyone can pick up Squarespace and get a good grasp of it in a very short amount of time, and all of the templates it provides should help anyone pick a decent starting point for their website.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

While Squarespace is really good on a surface level, it feels like it can be hard to get super deep down into it. If you have a super niche website requirement then Squarespace might not be able to pull it off.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace helps make websites for people that don't want to code a website, and it allows them to do it in a visually appealing manner that any person can be proud of after finishing their website.

 ### 44. Awesome for those with no experience in web design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love that Square Space makes website design truly simple. The prepaid templates are attractive and make it easy to input your content. The program is intuitive and easy to use, even for someone who doesn't know a lot about web design.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I honestly don't think that there are many features I dislike. The only one would be that you have to pay extra to send email campaigns. However, this can be overcome by connecting your Squarespace site to Convertkit.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace has helped me get a website for my business up and running very quickly. It's allowed me to combine a blog and store in one site, which is fantastic.

 ### 45. Easy To Use Even For A Beginner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | Michelle Strain , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I loved how easy it was to create a beautiful website. I own a brewery and am not a web designer but the templates were beautiful.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Navigating the template was pretty easy. There were some things I had to look a little harder to find to plug in but overall it worked great. If there were any problems there were a variety of resources available on the Squarespace site to use.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a website for my brewery. Since I have never made or developed a website I had to idea where to begin but after looking at the various templates I found one I liked and was able to personalize it to my needs.

 ### 46. Great and easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lila V. | Regional Director of Marketing, Communications & Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I love how their platform is easy to navigate and understand. I like how easy and fast it is to create a website and the convenience of managing multiple websites on one platform.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I would say I dislike having to pay additional for more features and other features that are only available for enterprise and not for personal use or small size websites.

**Recommendations to others considering Squarespace:**

Compare with similar products to see if it fits your requirements. Personally, Squarespace is one of my to-go systems when it comes to creating websites from scratch. It's straightforward to use and for anyone to edit as they wish.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like having a quick overview of multiple websites, being able to also manage our Google Workspace, and easily adding new email address through the same system.

 ### 47. My favourite builders to date

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

User friendly, easy to learn and design, great integrations, customization, and looks excellent on mobile.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Zapier is necessary for a lot of data collection (not all), and I'd love to send straight to ActiveCampaign instead.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data collection, on site sales, traffic analytics, and monitoring/editing on my phone via their app.

 ### 48. Squarespace has the best features to create and maintain a beautiful website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace makes it easy to create beautiful websites that can be as simple or intricate as your organization needs them to be.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

I don't have any significant complaints about Squarespace. One feature that I am disappointed they do not have is a more stair-stepped menu system for sub-categories inside tabs from the home page of websites. Because the homepage is the most visited place on our website, I would like to create a tree of options that can expand when visitors choose different categories in the menu from the home page.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Squarespace is an excellent platform for creating a website that is automatically both desktop and mobile optimized. Squarespace also has impressive features for blogs, events, and different forms. Another beneficial feature is the ease of use for adding and changing content to keep all information current.

 ### 49. Easy to use!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meryl D. | Content Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

Squarespace is super easy to use, especially for people who don't have much design or website-building experience.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

Not much. It does take a while to familiarize yourself with the platform but the how-to guides and customer support is very helpful.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a website that reflects my brand, on my own and within a reasonable budget.

 ### 50. Genius Simplicity

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Squarespace?**

I use the Squarespace platform for various sites and have come to appreciate the creative WYSIWYG functionality of the builder, the helpful analytics, and the straightforward ecommerce functionality. Though you give up some measure of flexibility and designability with the simple container based site builder, all the issues I've encountered can be solved with a little creative thinking. The end result is a site that looks fantastic no matter the device used to view it. I love that I can make changes quickly and intuitively. Sites I've produced with Squarespace draw many compliments and kudos from users and clients. The ecommerce functionality is also brilliant; any number of needs can readily be addressed and online quickly.

**What do you dislike about Squarespace?**

The builder is quite simple, so resolving some issues of design can require creativity and experimentation. It can occasionally be a challenge to perfect my vision onscreen.

**What problems is Squarespace solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ecommerce is fantastic, analytics are well-done, and user-end satisfaction seems to be high.
