I have used Weebly for years, have created multiple websites with their platform, and LOVE the free options. There are some- but not very many, and with many locked design features as part of the themes that aren't designed well and can't be changed without modifying the coding, it defeats most of the purpose of this platform. I am able to create a simple and easy online platform with which to share my products and services with people. The absolute best thing about square is it's recognizability now. In the summer, the farm stand I manage uses square at three locations and at every location, people always ask if we use square and if we accept pay by phone or pay by tap. It has become the norm to accept payment through our little cell phone app and it is incredibly convenient, relatively cost-effective, and definitely improves sales figures since people are more willing to spend more when they have their cards. Maybe it is Us, maybe we are missing something, but after about 6 years of use, we cannot seem to figure out how to separate each location under the same account. All sales for our three locations are jumbled into one account which makes it so that we must rely on inventory counts to get an accurate distribution of sales amongst the three locations. It would be incredible if we could link different square devices to different stores without having three separate accounts. Again, it is not enough of an issue for our little business to warrant anything less than an incredible review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Square Online (formerly Weebly): Businesses considering you should absolutely determine whether or not the convenience to customers will be financially beneficial for business needs. What problems is Square Online (formerly Weebly) solving and how is that benefiting you? The obvious major problem that we are solving is convenience for our customers. It is not unusual for people to come into our store without paper cash, and so they are more willing to return simply out of convenience without having to plan ahead for hitting the ATMs. Because of this, visit seem to happen more regularly for our already regular customers, and incidental purchases have also increased because people are not worried about going over whatever amount of cash they have in their wallet. If you want a simple website, you can create your very own on Weebly for free, and it has a sleek appearance. I like the ability to create numerous pages. Much easier to design and manage websites than some of the others I've tried. Weebly is very flexible and intuitive to use. I've had no issues keeping up with updates and changes. It's minimal for eCom, but it works." 3.5/5 What do you like best about Square Online (formerly Weebly)? With Square, you can build a website without any coding experience. I don't believe web design is rocket science, especially these days when we instinctively know how to navigate a site. We know where logos belong, we know where the navigation and search belong. Your customers know that too, so in my experience, it's more about quality pictures and quality content than it is about the design. A simple site with good use of white space will do just fine; you can accomplish that with Square. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Square Online (formerly Weebly)? If you have experience with coding and SEO, Square can be a bit too simplistic. To a fault. There certainly are content blocks that include custom HTML, but I still feel handcuffed by only two limited ways to display that HTML. The product page design also leaves a lot to be desired. A straightforward layout, no tabs to help organize content, just one long, visually unappealing block of text is all you get. My pet peeve is you can't display a YouTube video on a product page, so any video I've made for a product, I can only post a text link, which takes customers off my site. Not cool. Also, as a person with some coding experience, I find it frustrating that I can't add anything to the template or edit the CSS. Square support is hit & miss, it really depends on the question, and depends on the customer service agent you happen to connect with. I'll say this much, it is really easy to speak direct with a human, which is nice, but there are time I've reported a bug, and the answer I have to accept is the issue is know and it's on the team's list, but we have no idea when it's goign to be addressed, which isn't great with the issue is having an impact on your day to day business. Recommendations to others considering Square Online (formerly Weebly): Square is a decent solution for a simple eCommerce website; even if you're a person like me who knows how to code, with some patience, you can get something close to what you need out of a website. The caveat being you'll probably have to find alternate, less than desirable ways to accomplish some pretty standard tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Square Online (formerly Weebly) solving and how is that benefiting you? I use Square because they're one of the only payment processors that play nice with the world of hemp. Being an online and brick-and-mortar store, having an accurate inventory is incredibly important. We tried other solutions to have a more robust website but found the apps provided (by those websites) to sync inventory with Square were unreliable. Hence, our choices became (1) a rich website with an inaccurate inventory or (2) a simple Square site with a reliable and accurate inventory. Am I thrilled with the look of our website? I'm not, but I am pleased that our inventory is accurate, and thus our customers can be confident that the items they're purchasing are in stock, ready to ship. It is easy to navigate between page creations. Even I, as a beginner, built my website from scratch without professional help. The templates make the creation process easy and quick to set up. That there is no live support to chat with when you have an urgent issue with your page, you have to go and post a comment or request to the community and then wait for a reply, and you sometimes wait days and don't receive a satisfactory answer to your problem. You don't have to depend on others to do it for you. It is very user-friendly. They can work on their support system, make that more user-friendly with a live chat option for real-time problem-solving. Few problems hold you up. I like the ease of use that comes with Square online. It is easy to add in products and complete invoices to send out to clients on demand. If you enter your product lineup, you can click in and out a specific product when invoicing. In the end, Square Online can suspend your account for no reason at all. I enjoy how the interface is so simple to understand, with being able to easily drag the features to the website and see the web design in real-time as you are working. Even someone with no coding experience can easily design a website that will simply appeal to the eye, similar to iPhones with dragging the locations of apps on the screen. I don't like how Weebly websites usually have .weebly.com in them and make it obvious it was designed by Weebly. I wish there were a way to pay to remove this feature. Additionally, it would be nice if you could add extra features designed by developers with a way to import extra features to truly be able to make the most out of your website.
