Without any experience in web design, I have created and maintained a website that looks and functions great. I often get comments about how good my site looks and how easy it is to use. I can add images I create, link to other sites, and include various widgets. I now have at least eight sites built using Weebly and will continue to use it for future websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Square Online (formerly Weebly)? I do not use Square and do not intend to. I recently attempted to set up a new user with a Weebly site and accidentally selected the "online store" option, which locked them into a Square site designer. Square is awful; the web designer is significantly lacking and doesn't measure up to Weebly. It took me a week to sort things out and get them onto Weebly. Weebly does not offer what I need to manage my clients. Some of the templates are very limited. HTML skills are required to make the site more customized. A website is a must in this day and age. Weebly allows me to quickly and easily make changes to my site without spending thousands of dollars on w design agency that doesn't understand my business or can't make quick edits. The most important thing with Weebly was creating an e-portfolio of my brand. I used it to showcase my work examples and teach students how to create a portfolio. Square online has it's benefits but also has some limitations like adding features that are very cool need to be paid for. The store feature needs to have a subscription. I like the drag and drop features, as well as how easy it is to incorporate Google Ads into your posts. The SEO settings are also pretty good, too, for a CMS platform. I do not like how they do not have a feature to see how the site looks via a mobile view, and the tools to drag and drop buttons, as well as other visual tools, is not intuitive enough for me. I love how there is a free plan available. The paid plans are highly affordable and come included with a free domain alongside it. The transaction fees can add up for high-volume sellers, and there are limited customization options. Customer support is only available during some periods of the day, making it inconvenient.
