The web interface is easy to navigate is intuitive once you start using the product. The APIs allow us to use our custom applications to store and retrieve documents without having to access the GlobalSearch interface. The Online training was the most beneficial in learning and using the software. The self-paced online training really helped walk through the interface, standard operations, and advanced features possible with the product. **What do you dislike about Square 9 Softworks?** The amount of time it takes to setup the security on each database, archive, search, and inbox can be time consuming. The granularity in being able to set permissions down to the user level is appreciated though. With the remote authentication it verifies against the local user present, so you end up creating every user locally before you can login with the remote user. The groups are also local and don't tie back to active directory. I would have loved a closer Active Directory or Azure AD integration. That would have made the user setup go much quicker. **What problems is Square 9 Softworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use the document storage and well as the APIs to store and retrieve documents and meta data from our inhouse applications. The scanning feature is very easy to use, they have many features to easily scan items and rename them. We have been able to label all our documents and be able to sort and find them quickly. There is also a feature to have documents auto labeled but we haven't used that one yet. **What do you dislike about Square 9 Softworks?** Every feature cost an additional fee, we would love to have more documents and links but each of those costs additional dollars. We have been a customer since their very beginning, and many of the people that were there at the start are still there. I want to use more of each product! I would love to get more utilization on all of the products we use. I could deal with the lag, but being kicked out after waiting for 10 minutes for the "Saving" to finish gets tiresome. See screenshot below- I finally managed to log in today, and then the Student Documents list won't show up. This happens much more often than the screen just loading as it should. Sometimes closing the whole tab and reopening to log in will work to fix the problem, but sometimes it just breaks even more, so you can't even log back in again. **What problems is Square 9 Softworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** My school district was already using Square 9 when I came on board, so I'm not sure what problems they were facing that it solves. It would be nice if GlobalCapture allowed Windows to pass through the domain login information and not prompt users to login. Having to enter their domain account at the login screen isn't a big deal but it's an extra step when the user first starts working in the morning. **Recommendations to others considering Square 9 Softworks:** Square 9's project team and post-deployment support are exceptional which is not something that can be said of larger competitors. **What problems is Square 9 Softworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are in the process of replacing our primary business application which included a bare-bones document management feature. Our new platform does not have any document management abilities and that's where Square 9 fits. The original plan was just to use it as a basic archival system but the included features will allow us to build workflows around incoming faxes, department emails, and for our AP department.
