**What do you like best about SQL Developer?**

Its makes some of the ugly oracle issues go away, it has a good ui for the most part

**What do you dislike about SQL Developer?**

Alot. F9 vs f5  for starters.  Reconnect option never works and software give no feedback.  Many of ghe options aren't where they should be,  crashes far far more frequntly than it should, consumes a hige memory footprint, will often times not let user cancel sn action, the sproc interface is garbage, for starters. 

**Recommendations to others considering SQL Developer:**

If you have to edit an oracle db, Stick with toad, Its lighter weight and easier to use, and it doesn't crash.  

**What problems is SQL Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting to oracle instancd for basic crud type operations.  Mostly in support oc client dba staff of to supporf our own software products.  Thd only benefit id that we didnt pay for it

**What do you like best about SQL Developer?**

The product is free, relatively easy to use.

**What do you dislike about SQL Developer?**

This product is extremely unstable, the default shortcuts are counter intuitive (based on many other popular management tools ) some of which cause the software to crash.  It is extremely unresponsive, with no visual indicator as to why.  

**Recommendations to others considering SQL Developer:**

If you have to, its a fine solution. Buy toad if you can. 

**What problems is SQL Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote db  access / management of oracle based DBs
