I apparently use SpyFu a little bit differently from many others who've left reviews - I use it for prospecting.

I run a marketing agency, and cold outreach plays a role in getting new clients. I find SpyFu a great tool for building that list of prospects and ensuring that I only reach out to prospects who are already spending money. The reality is that most small business owners *aren't* spending any money on their marketing - those businesses will need two layers of selling: one to educate them on why they need to be marketing and the second to actually sell them your services. SpyFu lets me pinpoint the ones who're already spending money on paid traffic, so then all I need to do is enter that conversation already in their head with a compelling offer. It's pricey. And honestly, for the prospecting aspect, I only look at the PPC Research tools when building a list of prospects. That tells me not only the prospect's monthly ad spend, but also their keywords *and* others in the same space (their competitors) so my outreach can be highly personalized. Their competitors then also go on the prospecting list, because clearly those others are in the same niche and I can do similar campaign research about them. One thing that I really like about SpyFu is its ability to show me a detailed analysis of my competitor's SEO strategy. With this information, I can see which keywords they are targeting and where they are ranking, and accordingly I can plan my strategy. SpyFu's keyword research tools are also very useful. They provide accurate data on search volume and competition, which helps me identify the best keywords to target in my SEO and PPC campaigns. One more feature that I appreciate about SpyFu is regarding PPC is that it allows me to see which ads my competitors are running, and how much they are spending on each one. Spyfu offers so many golden nuggets of search data when researching competitors. I work purely within the SEO industry, so I use it just for this purpose. I found the keywords just ranked or keywords that just reached the top 10 sections particularly useful. This kind of data is invaluable when looking to match or beat competitors. Spyfu is a game changer for keyword research, the menu is soo easy to understand even for first time users. Simple User interface and Quick results, it only takes 1-2 seconds to generate tons of Keywords! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For now it serves all the purpose for my Keyword Research, the easy access and the copy-paste feature for keywords is just phenomenal. The only downside based on my experience is the bug in downloading the CSV or file on excel sheets. Sometimes it doesn't download, and it only keeps on loading.
