**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I really love that i have an inbox (smart) that gathers all my clients' messages and comments into one place as opposed to having to bounce around 5 different apps on my phone while my battery dies. It will also tell you the best times to send your posts to each platform and i notice a huge difference in engagement when I actually listen to those recommendations vs. sending them at random.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

Instagram integration seems to be half-baked... can't respond to comments/posts without leaving the app and going directly to instagram, which somewhat defeats the purpose. And the annoying part... trying to get out of the contract is difficult... auto-renewal... good luck canceling... without emailing back and fourth at least 3 times.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It stops me from having to log into 5 different apps just to check my messages or make sure a post goes out and everything related to my clients is housed in one calendar so we never have to guess what is being sent and when. Via "listening"... I also dont have to wait until a client forwards me a screen shot of an article/magazine/etc about our brand.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I enjoy how intuitive and responsive the user interface is. It is easy to navigate through all the different menus and tabs. There is a great onboarding program for new users which is extremely helpful and a support team readily available to help me whenever I need them.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

I do dislike the fact that I have to continually have to relog back into my account when I have an existing session on my laptop already. It does make it a bit annoying since I have the 2 factor authentication protocol initiatied on my account. I also dislike how limited analytics can be. I wish it was more customizable in terms of paid and organic performance throughout all social media platforms.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving all my publishing needs. By giving me an optimal time to post my content for my clients. I like how it also keeps all my clients organized on my dashboard so I am not making a mistake by posting the wrong content to the wrong client. I struggled keeping everything organized before with Hootsuite but with Sprout that makes it automatically easier by separating the clients into groups.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I really enjoy the fact that sprout sends an alert when someone posts something to your Google or yelp profile. This way i don’t have to continually hit the refresh button on my browser to check for new comments. I also love how easy it is to respond to customer complaints directly through the sprout platform – i’m able to write responses very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

Sprouts rating system doesn’t make any sense. For example, even though i’ve got ten great reviews, as soon as i get one negative review, the needle drops. Another thing i’d like to be improved upon would be having better pre-written responses to frequently asked questions. I find it to be extremely annoying to continuously have to press the “insert” key and rewrite the same response over and over again.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Sprout Social allows us to view what our customers are saying about our business on their social media sites (ie. Google). It prevents us from making educated guesses of why our customers aren’t happy with our services by providing all of the survey data in a clean and organized format. Using Sprout Social creates a centralized location where we can address customer complaints prior to them turning into larger issues.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I like Sprout Social because it's intuitive, fast, and packed with features. Managing our social media accounts in one location is efficient and ensures nothing gets missed, which is crucial since we manage several portfolios across the country. The feature that reports on what our competitors are doing on social media is particularly impressive, as well as the stats for our own posts at a glance. It's nice to know if we're beating our competitors on social media and if we're posting the right kinds of content, and what might be working for our competitors versus us. Additionally, connecting accounts was pretty easy, and the support team was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

There's a slight learning curve with getting accounts attached to their platform. It took me a week and several emails and phone calls to get our Meta Account appropriately set up on the platform so we could promote posts from Sprout.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage several accounts from one location, ensuring nothing gets missed. It's fast and reports on competitors and post stats, helping us see if we're beating competitors and posting the right content.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I think the biggest benefit I get out of this application is the publishing and content calendar. It has been the primary reason I continue to use this service. As many of you know, it can be very LOUD in these spaces and while I will always say that the scheduling portion of this service is just solid (no issues), the posts go out when they should. The ability to send ONE piece of content to multiple platforms at the same time is a huge time savings as I was spending hours sending the same content to different platforms prior to using this service. In addition to being able to schedule your content, I find their reporting features to be great.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

The only issue I have with publishing is that on occasion, content is rejected due to size restrictions when the files appear to be fine. Also, not every platform has full tracking capabilities, therefore I often need to pull native data from the applications themselves which sort of defeats the purpose of using a service like Sprout Social. This makes me need to go in and correct it manually. My small pet peeve: There isn’t an option to tag organic content created outside of the service AFTER IT HAS BEEN POSTED.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before, I was individually accessing each platform in order to manage social media – it was chaotic, inconsistent, slow and easy to miss important items. Sprout Social allows me to manage ALL aspects of social media in one location – including scheduling, monitoring, reporting and engaging. Reporting used to take me a significant amount of time to put together, however now it’s largely automated giving me actual time back to focus on developing strategies vs simply collecting numbers. While I don’t spend hours making presentations, the reports provided are clean enough that I am comfortable dropping them directly into a client presentation without having to make adjustments.

I use Sprout Social daily for 6 channels. The Smart Inbox puts all DMs and comments in one place so I clear them in 20 mins, and the drag and drop calendar saves me 4 hours weekly on scheduling. Canva and Slack integrations cut download time and ping us on urgent messages, while Salesforce sync turns social complaints into cases and dropped response time from 8 hours to 45 mins. It’s reliable with only 3 short outages in 2 years and posts rarely fail. At $249 per user it’s pricey, but competitor reports replaced a $4k yearly tool and tagging showed LinkedIn carousels drive 3x more leads, lifting social revenue 40% in 6 months. Onboarding was a 1 hour call that set up our tagging, and live chat replies in 5 mins. I love the convenience of Sprout Social. I don't have to log in to a bunch of different social media platforms to post on all of them; I can do everything in one place. I love the scheduler/calendar feature because I can see everything at a glance, including historically posted and upcoming posts on social media channels. I can click into each one to see the exact copy and language and the scheduled posting time. Also, Sprout Social has some really great AI features that have helped us out.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

There are a lot of features that I'm not leveraging yet, which could be improved on my end. An onboarding experience or educational classes on how to use the product better would be very useful.

I use Sprout Social for scheduling and reviewing posts across multiple channels with the calendar feature. I love its convenience, allowing me to manage everything in one place instead of logging into different platforms. I can view past and upcoming posts, and the AI features are helpful too. I really appreciate how Sprout Social makes social media managing and reporting easy and reliable, especially compared to Hootsuite, which was a nightmare for building reports. I love building my campaigns directly on the calendar feature, and it simplifies reporting across different platforms, helping me see what content performs best. It has significantly simplified my job as simple tasks take less time, and the campaign reporting feature is outstanding. I also find it very convenient to connect my Google account to check for reviews or link Reddit threads I follow, which streamlines my workflow by keeping everything in one place. The initial setup was super easy, and the Sprout Social team was incredibly helpful. **What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

Sprout Social is a nice all-in-one solution. We use Sprout Social influencer marketing, and having social management on the same platform is nice. The platform is very user-friendly, and many junior members indicate that it's incredibly easy to use. Analytics are also much more intuitive in comparison with using something like Meta natively. We also find that the platform is much more accurate in comparison to competitor platforms.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

Social listening does not really perform in the way it's sold. This feature is still much better than competitors in the market, but it doesn't really solve the core problem of creating real-time opportunities for engagement. Oftentimes, the findings from social listening are too late to actually use.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The number one problem it solves is onboarding. Junior social and influencer marketing team members often find the transition to Sprout very easy and seemless. Being able to enable these individuals and make them productive quickly is huge value to the agency as it gives back time to more senior team members.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

The comment management is the only reason i continue to renew my subscription. Having all replies in One place (regardless of the accounts) keeps me from logging into multiple platforms just to check and see if anyone has complained. The calendar view is very clean and makes it easy to see what's going out at what time. Being able to generate a client report while sitting on the couch half-asleep with your eyes closed means something. The listen feature also adds some nice value, as clients will often pretend that it's a high-end advanced piece of software which really helps justify the costs.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

It is literally copy-pasting forever. Posts will sometimes not go live (and Sprout won’t acknowledge that anything went wrong). You then try to reschedule them, and lo-and-behold they work perfectly fine. What a great error. There isn’t native linkedin carousel support either. Lastly, i’m being petulant here, but i hate how after i take a five-minute break, the login session times out and i start over.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The entire sales pitch is based on using One platform for everything – scheduling, monitoring, reporting, client approvals, dms. As far as comment management and organizing your inbox goes Sprout really does help bring order to the chaos. You’re not constantly jumping back and forth between browsers and/or tabs. That is what you pay for - less apps open, quicker responses on comments, posts going out daily without you having to manually do it yourself.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I use Sprout Social for integrating most of our social media platforms, scheduling content, and checking comments or direct messages. We consolidate all our work, planning, and team collaboration into one place. I like that they're constantly updating their platform and improving the flow of things for social media managers like myself who have to manage many different channels and mediums simultaneously. Their latest integrations with Reddit are crucial, especially their support for profiles and subreddits. I find the AI capabilities beneficial, saving me time as I don't have to manually hunt down captions or transcripts. The initial setup was very easy with lots of additional customization, and I appreciate how it works with other tools like Google Analytics and Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

We want to add a few moderator only seats to the profile, or staff members to only check comments and not have full access, but the seats cost the same no matter the role or responsibilities.

Take time with the trial, and be sure to explore Bambu while you're at it.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

The thing that I think is most helpful with sprout social is the fact that you only have to make one post and it can go out to all of your social media. Before sprout, I would go to every social media and have to either copy and paste or adapted to fit that one specifically and so this makes it really easy to just put one post in and have it delivered to all the platforms that you wanted to be delivered to. I also really like that. It has the feature where you’re able to click the time that is gonna get you the most views instead of having to kind of guess what time you want to post and what time is best for your audience.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

To be honest, I haven’t come across many downsides of using sprout social. But I do think one thing I struggle with is navigating it so when there’s comments on the post, sometimes I have troubles getting notified that there were comments and then getting to the page it sometimes kind of difficult. But overall it has everything you would need. It just is a little confusing to navigate the whole page.

The problem that sprout is solving for me is having to post in different areas. Now I’m able to just post on one platform to get the message out and I love that I can just duplicate the post and edit the caption if needed for a different platform so if I need a shorter caption for X and then I’m able to just duplicate it instead of having to redo the whole thing. I also love that I can talk to my team directly in it instead of having to message everyone individually I can just send a message to the whole team and everyone will be on that post and know exactly what I’m talking about.

I find Sprout Social very easy to use. In terms of scheduling and reporting, it has some great widgets. The easy-to-use interface is probably my favorite thing about it. The customer service I've received has been really great, especially with the new rep, Jonathan, who has been amazing and really useful.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

There could definitely be some work on the accuracy of some of the reporting. Sometimes I go on to meta to check natively, and it's not always correct, or 100% accurate. They don't always have the most up to date tools. We have noticed that you can only upload, like, ten images in a carousel when Instagram made it so you upload 20 recently, and, also, they can't do multimedia either. Same issue for PDFs on LinkedIn and things like that. There's a few features that I would like to see, so we would be able to make our jobs more streamlined, basically.

I really like that Sprout Social is easy to use and has a clean, simple interface. I enjoy the convenience of scheduling posts and being able to count on them going up on time. Sprout makes workflow at work really easy, and my manager can approve my posts with ease, which is great for our company structure. I also like the convenience of Sprout and how visual the different reporting features are.

I think on Sprout, what doesn't really work for me, there's a couple of things. The first thing is that I cannot post stories on Instagram and Facebook. I think only Instagram can have stories posted right now, which is really annoying because Meta connects both Instagram and Facebook. The other thing regarding stories is that you can't add links to stories. And we do that all the time for a call to action, to increase our engagement, ticket sales, and product sales. So, not being able to add links onto stories is really frustrating. I also find that sometimes my manager doesn't receive some of the notifications that I've uploaded a post into Sprout. Emails sometimes go into her spam. So maybe refining that process would make approvals a lot easier. Another frustrating thing is that you can only add up to three collaborators, but Instagram allows you to add up to five. It'd be great to add up to five collaborators on our post. Not being able to add five collaborators, not being able to add links on stories, not being able to add stories to Facebook, and emails going to the spam inbox are issues I have using the platform.

The tagging system is one of the most useful features for us: we tag each incoming comment by topic or sentiment, and at the end of each month we use those tags to create our Customer Voice Report, which gives management a clear view of what customers are saying across all channels. The reporting part is intuitive enough to extract valuable information without the need for technical help, which matters a lot for a small team.

Sprout Social is a platform designed for social media teams with broad needs, but for organizations that use it primarily for community management, the price is hard to justify. For example, there is no way to automatically tag cases based on the content or sentiment of the comment, which in our case implies a completely manual process that consumes the team's time. It also lacks significant automations that would allow, for example, classifying, routing, or prioritizing comments without human intervention. For a tool with its price, we would expect a higher level of automation and integrated intelligence.

We had a post go through the approval process and get scheduled. It was approved and ready to go, but then it never published, which caused a timing issue for us. After that, I tried to create a new post and it wouldn’t work either. In the end, we had to publish natively, and it took a lot of extra time.

Also, the uploading specs are VERY finicky. It’s frustrating when the image requirements say it needs to be under 8MB, but then we upload a 5MB file and it still doesn’t work.

Everything I need is in one place. I can pull reports, post, and pulse check everything happening in my space. This helps me do more to increase our efforts. I love the AI generated Alt-text, it saves so much time.

I dislike that I cannot tag collaborators on LinkedIn posts, even if I follow them. Additionally, I can't always tag people on Instagram without the post failing to post. I am also unable to tag our location inside Sprout. The option is available, but the regular list of locations doesn't sync between the platform and Sprout. To do this, I have to go in manually and add the location after posting.

With the updates to accessibility requirements in higher education, it would be helpful to add captions to videos directly in Sprout when I schedule content, rather than pulling the video into the platform, adding captions, downloading, and uploading it to Sprout from there. I wish adding specific metrics to a spreadsheet were widely available without a paywall. I can easily access the metrics I look at weekly or monthly, but I wish I didn't have to manually add them to my regular analytics spreadsheet.

From my first encounter with Sprout Social I had a gut feeling that it would work well with the needs of my team. The customer support and our account manager were so friendly and always willing to help out with any questions we had about the platform. The intuitive UI made our transition from our previous social scheduling platform quick and painless, as well as made it easy for our team to find the features and get integrated into the platform.

The primary problem Sprout Social is solving for us was the reliability of platform as well as analytics tracking. The initial setup was very easy.

I think i mostly use that super fast way to ask a customer something. That has been very helpful since we have gotten our ratings and engagement to go up. I am sitting here semi- dazed on my couch but i can still bring up all the reviews from google, facebook etc., all in the same place. The AI response tool has also helped me as well with many of our locations and the reviews continue to come in.

One negative review comes in and bam, the ratings drop instantly. Then you get eight 5 star reviews in a row and it will take a month or two for the numbers to move even an inch. When i brought it up to sprout they just sort of shrugged. Also, the reporting area is kind of a maze. There is no search bar. You click through arrows until you hopefully find the correct report. If a survey email bounced you cannot edit the address and resubmit. It's just gone.

Before i used sprout, i had to check each website individually to view my reviews. Which was stupid. Now all of my reviews route to one dashboard and i can respond without switching apps. **What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I love that Sprout Social allows me to add collaborators, link in bio, and multiple images, which gives me the flexibility I didn't find with other scheduling tools. I also enjoy being able to track all posts across different accounts and platforms. The expanded posting features and the customer service options in Sprout were significant reasons for switching from our previous product. The initial setup was pretty smooth.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

I would like to be able to post multiple media types in one post (video and photo in one post). I also would like to be able to post up to the Instagram limit of photos (20 photos).

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Sprout Social makes scheduling easier and enables posting across different accounts. It offers features for complex posts that other tools lacked, like collaborators and tracking posts on various platforms.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

Sprout Social is a great tool and one that I have now used at multiple organizations. Through it, I am able to easily manage multiple social platforms and gather data & statistics that helps me hone my social media strategy. It is something that I use every day in my role as a social media manager, and it makes me more efficient every day.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

There's not much that I dislike about Sprout Social. If I were to pick something, tagging can become a bit tedious, but that's not on the platform's side of things.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sprout Social is helping me to see the broad landscape of my social media platforms, especially when working with two organizations that are in tandem with each other. By using Sprout Social, I am able to survey the past, present and future of the social media channels that I manage. From this and through the gathering of social media metrics, Sprout Social helps me to better understand what content my organization needs to be investing more in, which content can be repurposed or repackaged, and which content can be discontinued from our strategy.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

Being able to manage all our social media posts across various channels from one centralized platform is a huge plus. The unified inbox has significantly improved our team's workflow, and the reporting features are incredibly intuitive. Trellis, the AI assistant, offers remarkable insights that assist with everything from content creation to reporting analysis. Furthermore, the streamlined approval workflows allow us to refine and approve content efficiently before it goes live. We recently integrated with Bynder, which, although still in the testing phase, looks promising. We have been using the platform for about three years, and the support from Sprout, including monthly check-ins and additional training, has been incredibly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

Managing team conversations is difficult because there’s no way to clear messages or mark them as complete once they’ve been addressed. It would be really helpful to have an option to resolve conversations so threads can be closed out and kept tidy. Also, I find it inconvenient that the calendar automatically creates separate draft assets for each channel, since that adds clutter and makes the workflow feel less streamlined.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trellis is going to be a game changer when it comes to interpreting analytics, which has been a pain point for us. I also find the listening tool really helpful. It listens across many platforms, and you can ask Trellis to surface trending content and conversations, or even help identify on-topic questions for upcoming events.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I like being able to customize my post per channel, individually.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

I've only been using it for a year or so and it took me a while to get used to it. I can't always change what I need to change and I have to start over. Also, if I select 'customize post per network' before I load all, add captions, etc. I have to do it for each network separately. I just have to remember to do all the things before I select customize. It's fine.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was new to managing our department social media so it took me a bit to learn how Sprout works and how to use it. I like that I can schedule for all three of our networks and jut have it post when its supposed to.

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

I like that Sprout Social is cross-functional and has a lot of tools in one place, so I'm not having to utilize multiple platforms. And I like that it's always innovating and trying to add features that make it a more useful tool.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

I think there's some features I just don't use because there's limited capabilities. And there's others that I'd like to use, but the pricing is really, really crazy. And I already feel like we're spending a lot, despite being a long-time customer. As the industry and space grows, I could see it being a lot more functional and capable.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sprout Social to save time from manual posting, gain visibility into multiple channel performance, and use an easy dashboard to analyze performance and create reports for our leadership team.

  ### 50. Unified Inbox and DM Automation Make Sprout Social a Real-Time Productivity Boost

**What do you like best about Sprout Social?**

For me, I really love the unified inbox. I am able to view all of the messages, comments, mentions from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc. All in real-time, in one spot, so I do not have to switch tabs back and forth. Even though I am currently on the couch, I was able to clear my entire inbox without having to open one single application. I also really love the automation of DMs, because it does handle a lot of the repetitive, FAQ-based messaging I send out, without needing me to babysit it. Honestly, I was very impressed with the social listening feature as well.

**What do you dislike about Sprout Social?**

Honestly, at this point, I have had zero issues with Sprout Social. However, I would also say that task management is getting close to being a viable replacement for a project management tool; however, it is lacking some key features such as deadline columns and status fields, which would be wonderful if they were to add them. At this point, I do not see anything that would cause me to leave Sprout Social, but I did feel obligated to mention these issues. Minor complaints.

**What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using Sprout Social, I was using around 5-6 separate applications for tasks including scheduling, listening, an email inbox management tool, etc. Sprout Social has essentially combined most of those applications into one. The DM automation alone saves me approximately an hour a day from copy/pasting the same reply to the same question repeatedly. For any user who manages multiple clients or accounts, Sprout Social effectively replaces an entire suite of applications you would normally be paying for individually, which adds up quickly.
