We were already using Splunk for Log Monitoring, so we thought of going with the same for IT infra monitoring & RUM... But, we quickly realise Datadog was better option for us. Ease of installation, better UI (my own preference) , and much more options to play with , gave Datadog edge over Splunk... We still use Splunk for log monitoring, but IT infra monitoring and RUM is handled by Datadog for us. There was some pricing issue as well (if I'm remembering correctly. But maybe I'm mistaken)... **What problems is Splunk Real User Monitoring solving and how is that benefiting you?** So, for the breif time we used Splunk RUM, it did help us with solving few SUP / Client reported cases.
