Features for the OnPrem version lag far behind the SAS offering when compared to other OnPrem vendors. Responsiveness and effectiveness of the support resources for the EUM product have been inconsistent. **What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?** EUM allows us to detect network problems, which in the past, we could only infer. This has been extremely helpful when compelling vendors to address connectivity issues in their networks. Similarly - EUM paints a much clearer picture of the impact to clients from server-side performance issues, many of which seem minor to app developers, but may cause seconds of delay for customers. In modern world with devOps mindset,in multi tenant scenario, integrating agent installation with the custom configuration in devOps generic pipelines is hard. There is a reason for that, that is because to give the tenants to do customisation. But they can be done only during installation not after. So to have a generic pipeline for installtion covering everything is hard to keep up. **Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:** AppD is one of the market leaders in APM industry in Gartenr Quodrant reviews, Plus the benificts you get as a user is massive per my personal experience. It has a lot to offer. It reduces timet to identify of root causes of problems . **What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?** appdynamics is not for cloud native world. we had a poc with appdynamics for our kubernetes environment. It was terribly time consuming to implement on kubernetes. Appdynamics is not aware of variations of kubernetes in technical details. There are many missing parts like end to end observability. Ability to create custom dashboards for kubernetes services is pretty poor. All the offerings are perfect in paper but we were not able to see them on real world. We were unable to see a full picture of our environment with end to end point of view, full stack. We were not able to see underlying infrastructure , the VMs of kubernetes. It's a full-time job for one or more people to get trained, perform integration, maintain, and analyze output from AppDynamics. **Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:** Please work with a good knowledgable partner or directly with appdynamics. AppDynamics offers lots of functionality, but doesn't implement any one of the features particularly well. Other APM solutions suffer from similar problems. Consider if you need a more specialized tool or custom solution to solve a specific issue you're having. Make sure that the way AppDynamics expects a centralized team to handle operations matches your organizational structure. It has helped us in determining the stability of infrastructure and robustness of our application code.
