How our website is performing it's not a matter but why it's failing it's important to us. that's why appdynamics is there for us to give more cleaity and more performance. no need to go here and there in one view we'll get everything. One thing main they have active customer support we'll ask they re there for us to solve our queries. we can integrate with many software tool and third party tools like aws and azure. Easy to implementation for any infra agents and cloud services.

  ### 5. Amazing tool to monitor application performance over an extended period of time.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan J. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

I can observe the reaction of the infrastructure with a simple click of a button; the user "clicks," that is, completes the weekly/monthly reports in a matter of minutes rather than hours or days. We were able to observe the proportion of people that visited/clicked on the device, the time of day, and their delivery point. The interface is straightforward and easy to use, gives total visibility into application performance (Application Monitoring), database performance, and infrastructure performance from one day to one year, and delivers a wealth of information that can be utilized to swiftly remedy a problem.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Although the interface is simple to use, it can be difficult to access essential information fast. It is strongly advised that a newcomer go through a training session before using this software, as several aspects of it still utilize flash. It is possible that queries across applications with the same URL will not be found, but give it some time and it should operate as planned.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform allows you to see key metrics of any "online store/service" in a single panel. In today's digital economy, where more and more people are adopting the "cloud," which has a very high price, it is fantastic to be able to "see" in real time not only the performance of your infrastructure but also the performance of users and applications and allows you to know EXACTLY where the change is needed. I use it every day to track the following in SQL server: SQL statements or stored procedures that utilize the majority of system resources, procedure statistics, SQL statements, and SQL query plans.

  ### 6. The best advanced monitoring and APM tool available.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fannie W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

It has one of the finest features: it is simple to define the alert threshold based on the baseline of all metrics, and it is simple to lower the RCA of the application code during the problem. It offers several unique features that I haven't seen on other platforms, and the UI/UX is simple and straightforward. I enjoy how simple it is to setup and how many functions are accessible. This provides us with limitless opportunities to improve IT response and get deeper business insights.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

The JavaScript monitoring library must be manually injected into the application code; if the application code is amended, the JavaScript code must also be updated. It appears to be difficult to get started without basic training; the user interface is simple to use, but using the features is not as simple or intuitive as it appears; there is a lot to learn, and there are some irregularities in functioning.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using AppDynamics to monitor and alert a multi-region cloud-based application, and you can completely observe the entire network bandwidth and application data flow across computers. The goal is to identify possible platform issues and discover anomalies in error and user traffic. One of our aims is to enhance monitoring and alerting so that we can be more proactive and decrease user-reported issues, we want to go into business information and start giving value to the team outside of IT once we're solid.

  ### 12. Great tool for monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine C. | Business Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

AppDynamics is an excellent solution for monitoring infrastructure, including servers, databases, API endpoints, and business activities. AppDynamics is quite simple to set up; all we need to do is install a client on the infrastructure we want to monitor, and it will connect to the application, such as Spring Boot, by just providing the level. We may specify alerts and exceptions, as well as actions to be taken when triggers are triggered, such as sending emails or executing scripts. A detailed assessment of a transaction's performance allows you to zero in on a piece of code in a line of SQL that is causing a performance bottleneck. We were also able to uncover issues on our web server that were previously assumed to be application problems using appdynamics.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

It has limited power over the infrastructure despite running as a client on the nodes we wish to monitor. It is only used as a monitoring tool, highlighting all of the stars such as memory consumption, disk utilization, and so on. You have no influence over whether or not the instances it runs on start or stop. Instead of relying on an external action to complete these duties, a self-healing feature is required. You can also send an exception but not the body of the request for which the problem occurred for business transaction monitoring. The whole stack trace is not sent as a developer, but the exception class is. To get to the underlying cause of an issue in the application stack, it requires time and patience. On the case of GC, the server is not appearing as available in the dashboard, which is accurate; however, following the GC event, the server's availability should be changed to green, which is not the case.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

Appdynamics is a fantastic solution that allows you to quickly troubleshoot application performance and monitoring issues that would otherwise need a lot of time and effort.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring production server performance and troubleshooting application performance Our application is complicated, with several integration layers and teams to handle the complete application stack. Appdynamics provides us with a unified picture that removes several hurdles to resolving crucial issues. We created a caching solution with Hazelcast Distributed Cache and have numerous nodes operating for various microservices. We are attempting to monitor the utilization of all business transactions, such as how long it takes to contact a specific API endpoint. Because each microservice has a level name, we can observe how the transaction flows via different components. We've also created specific health rules to help the support team make a judgment.

  ### 13. Excellent monitoring tool provides quick notification of problems.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry K. | Senior Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

AppDynamics flow maps are fantastic; the greatest aspect is that everything is shown in a graph and is simple to comprehend thanks to the baseline that we establish based on the various apps and needs, which can also be altered at any moment. time with the hope of meeting expectations We may also customize the alerts to get them from multiple channels, which allows us to know if there is a problem with any program ahead of time. We may also design alternative panels based on our needs, which are frequently quite handy.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

What I don't like about appdynamics is that it doesn't show the whole logs like splunk does. For proper log parsing, we have to log into the servers or use splunk if we have it in place. If Appdynamics can solve that, that would be fantastic. Configuring for many regions running identical AppDynamics software packages is time consuming and tedious. There may be more potential for improvement with driver terms. We have had issues with AppDynamics drivers and agents not showing traffic or data, which causes a panic scenario for the support staff.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

It helped a lot to serve the most vital goal, thus I would definitely suggest it to others, but make sure you know what you want because adding more features after a deal has been completed might be costly. Attend classes and/or sign up for consultation time; it's also a good idea to allocate personnel to installation and administration. It is, in my opinion, one of the greatest monitoring solutions on the market.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We primarily utilize AppDynamics to monitor infrastructure response, faults, and CPU utilization in the infrastructure. Thread consumption allows us to discover and prevent problems before they affect our end users, and faster notification times lead to shorter recovery times. Additionally, fresh releases can be compared against baselines to see if the release had a good or negative influence. Furthermore, with flow maps, one may instantly observe whether any cautions or difficulties are beginning or continuing. The AppDynamics call stack output is important for diagnosing difficulties in development.

  ### 14. The best tool for monitoring and performance monitoring.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaylon D. | Information Technology Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

I enjoy the appdynamics board because it displays data from the application's performance matrix, which helps me realize whether there is a technical problem. Appdynamics assists us in prioritizing the answer to the problem. I really enjoy the Appdynamics user interface since it is simple to use. The granularity of telemetry data and indicators that might depict a developer's mindset is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Appdynamics is an agent-based solution for several monitoring domains. In the present world, with the DEVOPS mindset, it is impossible to merge the installation of the agent with the custom configuration in the generic DEVOPS pipes. They have several modules that must be acquired, which requires a lot of effort and raises the organization's costs. Assume I want to utilize a module or function that will help me with my job, but when I go to get it, I discover that it requires an internal purchasing license. More effort / labor is required for custom needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

If you are searching for a solution to monitor application performance or any other service, I would recommend Appdynamics. It is simple to use and one of the finest on the market; it supports other languages for automation, so it is not dependent on the language to automate things. Furthermore, the benefits you receive as a user are substantial, in my opinion, and it is highly suggested that businesses utilize appdynamics as their primary monitoring tool.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Appdynamics to monitor and ensure that our apps run often and without error, and if we find a problem with the help of Appdynamics, we strive to rectify it in order to maintain the activity time / availability. If any program fails, we receive a notification, which is really beneficial because manually monitoring the entire application is laborious, therefore the notification makes it simple. It is a solution for monitoring infrastructure, applications, databases, online and mobile monitoring of actual users, synthetic, analysis, BIQ A and AIOPS to keep our important systems watched 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and to decrease the MTTR if a problem occurs.

  ### 26. AppDynamics Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bubesh P. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

One thing I like most about AppDynamic is the ability to monitor all kinds of applications/hosts/Databases. AppDynamics is a promising observing arrangement according to an APM perspective. It delves profoundly into discovering underlying drivers of issues down to the very strategy call or DB inquiry, the client who's signed in, and so forth, which saves a great deal of issues of groups. The apparatus is a shelter for severe DevOps groups who have everyone working firmly together, to welcome them all on a similar stage.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Delay in alerting when a service crashes or health rule violates is one of the biggest challenges faced by app developers. And deployment document is lacking, they have specified only install, But It would be better if they provide frequently encountered issue. The UI lacks many features like searching data.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

Compared to other vendors, AppDynamics gives many features with less cost. So if the appdynamics meets your requirements, it is a go.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our application has to be up all the time. But only sometimes, our application goes peak usage. So we use AppDynamics alerts to automatically scale our application during peak hours. so we will not always waste our infrastructure.

  ### 27. Great tool for application/Db performance monitoring

Appdynamics is a fantastic tool for monitoring the performance of your application or database. We can observe the response time of the application in real-time.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Appdynamics is doing great for us, and we did not observe any dislike feature. The subscription is a little expensive for this tool.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are monitoring the real-time performance and issues of our application and database.

  ### 28. AppDynamics is great tool to monitor Infra, APIs and to get custom alerts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amar K. | Data Engineer II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

AppDynamics is a great tool to monitor infrastructure, from servers to database and API endpoints or business transactions. AppDynamics is super easy to set up; all we need to do is set up a client on the infrastructure we need to monitor; it can be connected seamlessly with the application, such as spring boot just specifying the tier. And the dashboard appears immediately. It's even great too to visualize how the request is moving into different micro-services. We can set up other alerts and exceptions and set up actions when the triggers are hit, from sending mails to the running script. All the options are organized.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Though it runs as a client on the nodes which we want to monitor, it does have little control over the infrastructure. It is only used as a monitoring tool and brings out all the stars, such as memory usage, disk usage, etc. It does not have control over starting or stopping the instances on which runs. A self-heal feature is mandatory rather than calling an external action to perform these tasks. Also, for the business transaction monitoring, it can send out an exception, but not the request body for which the exception has occurred. As a developer, the complete stack trace is not sent, and the exception class is sent.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have developed a caching solution using Hazelcast Distributed Cache, and we have multiple nodes running for different micro-services. We are trying to monitor the usage of all the business transactions; how much time does it take to call out a particular API endpoint since all the microservice has their tier name. We see how the transaction moves across different components. We also have set up custom health rules so that the support team can make a decision. E.g., if JVM usage is > 80%, we get warning alerts; if it crossed >90%, we get critical alerts, call out a specific action, etc. We also use AppDynamics to monitor our database transaction time and nodes usage.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

1. Visualizes performance data in easily digestible charts.
2. Once-click metric exploration allows us to drill down into performance influences.
3. Zoom feature is great when you need to hone in on a specific time range of an incident.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

1. Some data gets lost on all functions.
2. User admin can be better.
3. Mobile App is poorly designed.
4. Costly Product

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

As it pertains to monitoring database transactions, as our application relies heavily on SQL, AppDynamic's monitoring tool made an immediate impact on sorting which ones are slow. The business transactions that we can capture are limited in the sense that our application works where it can't be limited to 200, so we ended having to setup service endpoints to account for it.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The IT operations department uses AppDynamic. It provides synthetic monitoring of applications, allows us to see in real time how the various applications installed by servers communicate with each other. This helps us to have control of the connections and allows us to have extract metrics of the number of possible errors between connections. It is very useful to monitor web services and their connections.

  ### 38. A Game Changer in SAP Performance Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keynes A. | Senior Advisory Consultant (SAP Cloud for Utilities), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Transaction snapshot drill down gives very detailed insight of the transaction that was slow or in error, the call graphs provide the quickest view of an transaction path with time taken at each node and time taken between nodes.

The upsides are baseline comparison against daily/weekly/monthly trends.

Custom dashboards caters the needs of all the teams across every level in our organization.

Violations and Anomalies section is much helpful to view all violations with severity and timeline when we have a major disruption

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

AppD must colloborate with SAP and enable to monitor SAP Cloud Applications.

The downsides are sometimes AppD gave incorrect CPU utilization which then needed fine tuning.

It caused 15 minutes disruption to our business when the AppD machine agents were reconfigured during business hours.

During the troubleshooting underlying error showed more than 90% of the time consumed by AppD agent which was later corrected.

Real time user monitoring browser plugin for SAP cloud applications was causing other issues which prevented the SAP application to work as expected.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AppD helped to identify that the F5 load balancers were distributing more load to only 2 nodes and remaining 4 nodes were underutilized.

Identified a long running query in the database which lead the developer to identify a code issue by Wipro which caused the user to wait for almost 2 minutes on a C4C screen.

It highlighted the violation by a batch program which was processing 10 times more than the usual records.

Whenever a major disruption is reported by users, it reflected the exact user experience, the timeline and the number of slow/error transactions match with user report

  ### 39. AppDynamics provides quickest notificiation of application issues

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William B. | Sr. Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

AppDynamics self discovery made it useful soon after installation. The Flowmaps is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

When configuring for multiple regions running identical software products, AppDynamics it time consuming (and boring) to configure all applications the same. This applies to dashboards, as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

Be sure to know what you want. It can be costly to add additional features after the agreement has been reached.
Dedicate staff to the install and administration.
Take classes and/or sign-up for consulting time.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the IT side, AppDynamics provides the quickest notification, sometimes less than 5 minutes) of an issue. Also, also with the flowmaps, one can quickly see if there are any warnings or issues starting or continuing. On the development side, the AppDynamics call stack output is useful in debugging issues.
Benefits - faster time of notification, which leads to faster time to recovery. Also, new releases can be compared with baselines to see if there is any positive or negative impacts due to the release. Paired with Splunk, the duo provides nearly all of our monitoring needs.

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

We can quickly create dashboard to monitor all the resource performance like CPU, Heap, Network.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Sometimes, we are not able to install machine agent as that consumed memory and have some overhead.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I monitor performance of CPU, Heap, Network for the load test I have to run monthly. I also monitor connection pool, thread pool, major GC, minor GC etc.
I can also easily find out the errors and exceptions observed during the test.

  ### 42. Excellent tool for Monitoring Enterprise applications.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Likitha G. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

It is one of the best tools for monitoring applications(Eg. Java App). Easy to check the error details when an error encountered. Alerts can be configured (Eg. Whenever a particular functionality, payment page takes time to load, immediately mails will be triggered if configured, which helps further to investigate the issue asap). It offers many other functionalities. I can see its one of the great tools available for application monitoring.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Nothing as of now. It has great features, however I should admit the fact that I didn't explore much so I haven't find any cons yet.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To check the errors in Production environment. In an enterprise application, it is not possible to monitor the app manually, so with the help of the tool we will be knowing as and when any error occurs which is helpful in resolving issues as and when occured.
Alerts configuration when a page is slow, on configurations we get mails so we will get to know when exactly the app is slow which further helps to improve scalability.

  ### 43. End to end traceability on a single Page

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivek R. | Senior Manager - Specialist officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Appdynamics dashboard to show real-time metrics and visibility of end to end transactions flow between different layers and byte code instrumentation to see.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Its not able to trace in code level change required for the issue which I noticed in overops tool having.
Alertsite having macros concept in which certain flow can be checked which is missing here.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

Good tool for your APM monitoring

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alerting the team and having action plan in place for immediate resolution.

  ### 44. Best APM monitoring by far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Urban A. | Monitoring SME, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Its fast, its easy to understand and here is where many competitors fail. No likes to work with a tool that is slow or that we cant explain or navigate in. All layers are included like databases, network, enduser, apllication, logs, docker etc. And it gives results. At Volvocars we almost completely eliminated incidents by working proactivly with Appdynamcs. No other tool proved such value in the warroms.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Nothing. Trying to think hard but cant come up with anything i dislike.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost completely eliminated downtime. We didnt have less issues. They all had to be worked out as normal. They didnt stop occuring. But doing it before the incident is the whole point. Finding it in an early stage when problem is small or in dev/qa. Many times we easily optimised applications to be twice as fast. The few incidents we couldnt prevent had a decreased resolutiontime from normal 6hrs to 1 hr in average. Sometimes minutes. Im not working in operations anywhere without appdynamics from now on.

  ### 45. 1 of Best Monitoring Tools.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash A. | Senior Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

The Best part is getting everything visualised in graph and easy to understand with the help of the baseline that we define according to the different application and requirement, also those can be changed anytime with the requirement to meet the expectations. Also we can set up the alerts and can configure to receive them from different channels which helps us to know if there is any issue in any application before hand. Other then above in AppDynamics we can build different dashboard according to our requirement which use to be of great use.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

The think i would say i don't like in appdynamics is , it don't show the complete logs like the look splunk shows us, for proper log analysis we have to login to servers or use splunk if we have that in place , that is the major area if that can be addressed by Appdynamics it will be super. There can be more scope in improvement with terms to Controller, we have experience were we have faced the issue with AppDynamics controllers and agents and it doesn't show traffic or data, there it create the panic situation for support team

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

One of best Monitoring tool available in the market i would say, i help very much to fulfil the purpose that's the most important so would surely recommend it to others.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We majorly use appdynamics for monitoring infra response, errors, and all related to infra like CPU utilisation thread consumption and all, and it help us to identify and mitigate the issue before hand so it would not impact to our end customers

The tool has a wealth of features, though i find the End User Monitoring alongside the BizIQ really powerful and gives great insights as to the customers experience. AppDynamics continue to grow and have some exciting integrations such as the acquisition of ThousandEyes network monitoring. This tool keeps getting better and the support from the Customer success programs has really helped us get ROI

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

Not much to say hear. It is a bit pricey but it is a high end product and provides a high level of monitoring

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To have one tool that covers many aspects of monitoring which AppDynamics does flawlessly. The capabilities of AppDynamics have helped us move to a more pro-active monitoring model.

  ### 48. Very nice tool for keeping Enterprise applications life

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

1) Convenient UI
2) Comprehensive documentation and friendly user groups + support
3) Metrics + Alerts - amazing functionality to keep eye on all applications friction parts.

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

1) Does not allow grouping in Analytics by custom fields
2) Does not store ADQL in Analytics in URL, you can lose your query in case of simple QL grammar error (NewRelic is more duligent for this case)
3) Some anarchy on capturing parameters (may allow to have different UserId and UserID columns which makes hard to group data in future)

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) Tracking how our applications behave, reacting on issue before we get a call from Customer
2) Collecting different metrics and stat
3) Investigating app abnormal behavior, troubleshooting

  ### 49. Appd SAAS having much better capability than On-premise if your security approves Appd SAAS solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Splunk AppDynamics?**

1. Dashboarding and Reporting with Dash Studio give greater insights
2. Database insight( DB Monitoring) gives an application team a transparency
3. Root cause Analysis /Anomaly detection( SAAS only)
4. Application Flow maps and Transaction Score give a good visibility
5. Custom Schema in Analytics
6. Auto Baseline concept

**What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?**

1. Appd doesn't have any roadmap to add AI/ML and many more capabilities to on-premise setup which they already have in SAAS from years.
2. Appd license model is very difficult to understand and then if we want to manage per application, it is very difficult.
3. Appd Synthetic is having many flaws - stability, manage PSA health, support etc, raise my enhancement but no luck
4. Appd DB events are moving to Analytics even it is there in Event service cluster which restrict us in proactive alerting, reporting and analysis.
5. Appd doesn't have any integration or way to analysis threads and provide the root cause at thread level.

**Recommendations to others considering Splunk AppDynamics:**

I would recommends to have a business requirement listed down and then select the tool. For my organization use case , Appd suits best as we have done POC with Dynatrace, appd and NEw-Relic , from all the three Appd scored highest.
Use SAAS for better AIOPs feature and being ahead in technology and solutioning.

**What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Solved various issue in the below direction
a. Faster RCA - provided the visibility the issue is around Infra, Application, DB or user experience
b. Prevent P0,P1 - prevented P0 *P1 by proactive anomaly detection using baseline
c. End user productivity - By increasing end user performance by improving on error and heavy call/methods.
d. Automation - Using the auto remediation and auto thread dump collections
e. KPIs - Earlier their was no way to measure the Service health, now with appd, we have such KPIs.
f. Management Dashboard - With the help of analytics/metric, we can present management related values or cost which help them to take decision faster.
