I have used appd for personal work and found it quite helpful. Realtime metrics and visibility of end to end transactions and DB Monitoring Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splunk AppDynamics?

Sometimes AppDynamics gave incorrect CPU utilization, which then needed fine-tuning.

Easy to read and troubleshoot performance issues, early detection of performance issue, it is intuitive interface, extensive documentation, setting notifications when something is not working as expected, data issue troubleshooting (database), a lot of information across the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A little slow syncing with older technologies, pricing maybe is the on high side. at the begging there is a slight learning curve. dashboard is confusing displaying data at the begging however with time you are getting used to it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the Dashboard of AppDynamics the most as it shows the data of Application performance matrix which helps to understand if there is any technical issue. In AppDynamics they have lots of modules which needs to be bought and it takes lots of effort and increased the cost to organization. Suppose if I want to use any module or feature which could help me in my work so when I proceed I get to know that it has internal purchase license which is required to get it. I would suggest to use AppDynamics if you are looking for an Application performance monitoring tool or any other service it provides. It is user-friendly and one of the best available in the market. What problems is Splunk AppDynamics solving and how is that benefiting you?

With AppDynamics we are making sure that our applications are running frequently and there is no issue and if we notice issue with the help of AppDynamics we try to fix it to maintain the uptime/availability. If any application is failing we get a notification which is very helpful as it's difficult to manually monitor all the application so the notification makes it easy.
