Split Screen for Windows - Always On Dock is a utility that creates a permanent split-screen workspace by reserving desktop space accessible even when windows are maximized unlike Windows FancyZones or Always On Top solutions. It shrinks the desktop area so maximized windows stop at the dock's edge. The dock supports up to three windows, sharing vertical space and reorderable via dragging. Windows can be docked by dragging them into the strip and undocked by dragging them out, restoring their original positions. It works across multiple monitors, saving configurations for each screen. Keyboard shortcuts restore docked windows, shift focus to the dock, or launch programs directly into the reserved space. The built-in launcher provides access to installed apps. Unlike always-on-top solutions, it creates dedicated space, ideal for comparing documents, managing data, or keeping video calls visible during other tasks.
