Works for it's purpose but dated **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023 **What do you like best about Spinnaker?** Definitely has all of the functionality you need to handle deploys at a large scale, and is suited to heavily technical people. **What do you dislike about Spinnaker?** The UI is dated and can be a bit hard to figure out where things are sometimes. **What problems is Spinnaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's helping us to do our deploys in a timely fashion, and it's easy to understand the status of them. ### 2. Yet another deployment solution **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Binayak G. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2016 **What do you like best about Spinnaker?** Big plus for docker support. Also, deployable units can be JAR files as well. Supports multiple cloud providers like AWS, Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud natively. Can be triggered using github hook, manually using cron or from some other pipeline. Could push update packages to existing instances to minimize wait time. Has a nice ui that can resize, edit, delete server groups and load balancers. **What do you dislike about Spinnaker?** Spinnaker has a good support for JVM based projects. Unfortunately, for projects that require anything else, it escalates into a big headache. Also, we had some deployment problems with AWS. **Recommendations to others considering Spinnaker:** If your use case consists of only JVM based projects, then spinnaker is good, even great. Give it a go. **What problems is Spinnaker solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not much, gave it a trial but had to choose another because of the severe limitations of handling non-JVM projects.
