## About Spike
Spike is an AI-powered email and team communication platform that combines email, chat, meetings, and collaboration tools into a single, organized workspace. It is designed for professionals, small teams, and businesses that use email as their primary communication channel but want a faster, more streamlined way to manage daily interactions and tasks. By transforming traditional email into a chat-like format, Spike simplifies how users read and reply to messages. The platform removes repetitive headers, quoted text, and long chains, allowing conversations to appear as clean, continuous threads. Users can manage all email accounts, calendars, and contacts in one place while taking advantage of built-in AI to summarize conversations, draft replies, and organize the inbox automatically. Spike supports both individual and team use. Freelancers and professionals use it to manage clients and projects more efficiently, while teams rely on Spike to centralize communication, share files, and collaborate in real time without switching between multiple tools. Core Features: Conversational Email: Presents emails as natural chat-like conversations while remaining fully compatible with standard email protocols. AI Productivity Tools: Provides automatic summaries, suggested replies, translations, and content drafting to speed up workflow. Priority Inbox: Uses AI to sort incoming messages into relevant categories—Priority, Other, Notes, and Starred—helping users focus on what matters most. Integrated Meetings: Enables voice and video calls directly from email threads for faster coordination. Collaborative Notes and Docs: Allows users to create, edit, and share documents in real time within the inbox. Unified Inbox and Search: Consolidates multiple email accounts and calendars into a single interface with cross-account search. Shared Inbox: Helps teams manage customer and project communications collaboratively, ensuring faster response times. Compatibility: Works with Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Office 365, Yahoo Mail, and all IMAP-supported accounts across desktop, mobile, and web platforms. Security and Privacy: Spike is ad-free and never sells or monetizes user data. All message data is encrypted using the AES-256 standard. Spike is suited for users seeking a unified communication platform that enhances productivity while maintaining the familiarity of email. It bridges the gap between traditional email clients and modern collaboration tools, offering a single, AI-enhanced workspace that helps individuals and teams stay focused and efficient.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I like that it makes the email experience similar to what you'd find in texting applications. Also, the "eyeball" is very, very helpful!

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I wish I could:
add my peers' calendars
integrate with my CRM and other apps
eyeball specific addresses I send to

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) IT'S NOT OUTLOOK
2) an easy way to engage with email
3) easy convo tracking

  ### 2. Spike is an amazing app to stay connected!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jugal P. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Spike makes it easier to stay connected with your peers and teammates all the time.
Screen sharing through this app makes presentations much easier.
The app is very user friendly and easy to navigate.
Instant messaging through this app makes Spike a versatile platform.
The video and audio call quality is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Spike got some technical glitches at few occasions in the past few months.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I recommend Spike for instant messaging.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spike is used as a quick chat app between the teams.

  ### 3. Spike is an awesome tool that makes working with emails great again !

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael D. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I love the chat aspect of the app. The customer service is impeccable (thanks to the tremendous help from Harrison especially). The extra features are fantastic, and the team doesn't stop their effort to improve the user experience. Thank you for adding a dark theme 🥰

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I still have some bugs here and there. For example, often, my mail comes back to my inbox after having it archived or deleted.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improve the way I work with mails.

  ### 4. A good start for a young company

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick K. | Owner / Envir International, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The overall experience is pleasant, with multiple ways to sort your threads which makes it comfortable to work with.
- 3 options to sort your threads
- Clean interface
- Nice priority and other option
- Tasks and notes option
- Groups and projects option
- You don't have to be a Spike user to work with Spike, which makes it versatile
- Email tracking and reminder
- Easy search, especially on documents, real-life safer for me
- In-browser option

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

It doesn't feel like the application isn't fully functional yet. There are some options to cooperate, but there is more to what it can do.
- It should be a team app, but I miss sharing options or delegating options to the team and an option to cooperate within the mail
- Its rather slow, if I select a bunch emails and "read" them, it takes ±30 seconds to put them on "read", also they sometimes "unread" by them selves without a reason.
- The pricing method is horrible, every mail address is an account, which means that only 1 person can use this account, so for example; your signature is also from 1 person.
- The in-browser option is great, but the problem is, that you need to login each email address seperately on each device since all addresses are seperate accounts
- When my client forwards an mail and I want to reply, I reply my colleague not the client
- Mailto code from the contact form on our website isn't recognized, so you reply to your mail server instead to the mailto address
- Reminder option is great, but when a client already responded the reminder will still come
- When a client sends an invite and I accept it, it doesn't automatically appear in my calendar, so I should add it by hand

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Still waiting for the multiple users per account option and how to share or delegate mail conversations. Not yet updated, but I have the feeling since it's a young company, they will find an excellent way to solve this!

  ### 5. Instant messaging gets easier with Spike app!!!

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The consolodation of my emails and diaries prevents any priority emails "falling through the cracks" and missing all important information and meetings!!!

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Nothig at all... the product works exactly as promised

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidation is my key focus which increases productivity!!!

  ### 7. Spike helps me focus on the work, not the software..

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rhoady H. | Free Lancer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I can focus on my work and spend less time getting all my digital communication to play nice together. Spike has a great aesthetic and rich functionality without being hard to use and distracting. The logical evolution of the inbox.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

New features seem to be rolling out regularly, so nothing.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps me avoid digital sand traps that waste time. This app is pretty and smart.

  ### 8. Comprehensive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron M. | Associate Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Conversational email is a game changer for me, and I can never go back. No more searching through endless threads, trying to find that one email - just scroll up. View your entire chat history with that person across multiple threads, without getting distracted by needlessly long email signatures, disclosures, and confusing, repeated, and multi-level thread history.

It's also packed with useful features, including an auto-saving contact list, email tracking, a document scanner, a calendar, notes, and to-do list, and team-based audio and video calling. These features are best suited for Enterprise-based customers, as everything is shareable and collaborative.

You also have to give special credit to Spike's customer service employees - truly unmatched. I've sent numerous questions, some that are rather complex, and suggestions, all of which are immediately answered with helpful information.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

There is nothing I dislike about Spike - seriously, the software and customer service is top-tier. However, because I use Spike alone and without a team, I don't realize the full utility of the services provided; specifically, the note and task sharing, groups feature, and audio and video calls. For a company using Spike, these features would be irreplaceable, and would make Slack and similar programme obsolete; for me, they simply aren't needed.

Also, Spike doesn't integrate with other software, save for cloud storage. While there is good reason for this, as everything - calendar, notes, tasks, team communication - can be done in the app, it loses some of its utility if you prefer, e.g., Microsoft To Do and OneNote or Google Tasks and Keep too manage your tasks and notes. I would love an email, calendar, and contacts-only subscription that is less expensive, which is geared more towards solo users.

Even though I don't realize Spike's full benefit as a stand alone user, I am more than happy with and will continue my Spike subscription because the usability of its conversational email and its customer service is second to none.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a lawyer, it makes tracking billables so easy because everything is in one place. The old habit of searching through endless threads is thankfully over. Also, as a simple user of email, the conversational email is more inviting. Because it simply feels like sending a text and not a chore, I no longer put off sending that email until tomorrow morning or Monday. It's also much easier finding attachments and contacts with its useful features.

  ### 9. creating a messaging like experience makes business emails stand out more.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brodie M. | Assistant Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I like sending emails, and it feels just like texting, also filling it into the different groups.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Since I have been using Spike, I have not found any issue.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can go through your day knowing that you will be notified any time of the day for an important email.

  ### 10. Next gen email

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo D. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Email as chat, love it. The concept is simple and implemented very well.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Still figuring out ways to use it as my main calendar and for group chats to replace some Slack functionalities, I guess.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Immense productivity boosts from seeing at a glance the core message of incoming emails, replying, sorting, deleting. Fab.

  ### 11. I have Already Referred this to Colleagues - It's Amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Outsourcing/Offshoring | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The ability to manage all my emails together.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Lack of keyboard shortcuts, and I would like more options to organize the inbox and also a much more active spam filter and blocking system.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

It works best if you have multiple emails you ACTIVELY manage. If you don't have multiple emails you check daily, you won't feel the full effect.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to manage my emails and clients emails simultaneously without navigating through different accounts.

  ### 12. It’s my favorite email/instant messaging/notes/tasks lists/calendar app, all in one!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iván S. | I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Spike is the open protocol messaging app that I always dream to use.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Nothing displeases me. I love Spike! They have notes, tasks lists, calendar, text and audio messages… and your friends don't even need to use Spike to have video calls or audio calls with them as if you were using any other instant messaging app.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

It’s amazing, beautiful and useful.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can find anyone at any time if you only have their email address. With Spike you forget about all that excessive protocol to get straight to the point in a conversation.

  ### 13. Great product, horrible pricing model.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | Owner, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Spike does the best job of any email program I have used to filter out the non urgent email and display just the important details of my current thread. It makes email as simple to use as texting.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I signed up for a pro account because I was going to use it for my business. Unfortunately, I kept getting notifications that I needed pay for each email address I use. I have three email addresses I monitor in order to separate different aspects of my business, i.e. support@, info@, and myname@, and Spike wants to charge 3 times for the additional addresses. No other email application charges by email address.

Managing your account is also a pain. To log into the portal and change your subscription (cancel) you have to enter your email account, password and imap server, port, smpt server and port, and more if you aren't using Gmail, or exchange.

I've been emailing support to try to resolve these issues and I usually get one response a day. Their support seems to only be available in the morning for pacific time zone customers.

I'm going back to Newton Mail!

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

Go with the free plan or paid if you only monitor one email account.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to simplify email transactions

  ### 14. Indispensable for better communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ender Yasin . | Entrepreneurship and Youth Affairs Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I can communicate better by e-mail. It is an excellent application with a safe, simple interface and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

The interface is very useful and nice, but a little more vibrant colors could be used. Overall I am satisfied, but I am sure it would be better if the color matching was done better.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I provide secure e-mail sending. I can leave short notes to myself so I don't forget. I can share common tasks with my friends. In short, I can do anything.

  ### 15. Good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kamal H. | Sr. Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Intelligent hiring solution for the changing world

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I like the software very much. There is nothing I dislike about myself.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I recommend the software highly.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Human Resource Management Software Benefits · Employee monitoring and support

  ### 16. I finally understand email

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lily B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The "group by people" feature makes the whole email experience as easy as chat.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I have some minor issues related to the project's youth that they are currently fixing (copy in email preview, pricing plan changing).

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can greatly reduce email overload.

  ### 17. Spike makes email as fast as chat

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina R. | Co-Founder

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I love the chat-style truncated emails. It makes emailing quick and efficient because you can easily read all previous conversations with that group of contacts.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I wish the advanced search was better. If notes and tasks could be associated with an email instead of standalone because that would be a better workflow for me.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to stay on top of my emails and respond much faster.

  ### 18. Spike is different and very productive in communicating.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max S. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

He is perfect; he has been incredible in organizing the emails using an established level of importance. The support has been considered a great formality in each of the meetings with experts. Spike has helped me to be able to communicate with clients, companies, and internal staff straightforwardly through the mail.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Productive and efficient, so far, he has not had any negative aspects that would not motivate me to recommend him.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I recommend them very quickly; it is straightforward to use and proclaim suitable work with reliable communicative processes. Without a doubt, it has given me many advantages, and that's why I recommend it for you to use what you find there and put it into practice.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company is in charge of establishing a formality of communication through e-mail for the companies that became potential clients, we like the professionalism, and the software gives a guarantee of being able to relate easily through this means of communication.

  ### 19. Your Secret Weapon In The Quest For Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyree Paladon B. | Chief Excellence Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I love the Spike Notes feature. I have created at least 300 of them to save all of only info and to track tasks. I love the unified email feature, the seamless video chat and how Spike helps me to do it all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

The only con is the price point however because Spike helps me to save and make money with their tools, I would gladly pay it to help the team continue and thrive.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

It's the best tool that I have seen in a while and I have tested hundreds to find something that fits all of my needs.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Spike to help advance interpersonal communication among mobile teams, communication among government institutions and project management between agencies.

  ### 20. I was sceptical in the beginning - now I love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan M. | Co-Founder | Tech Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The app is slick and easy to be used. I like a lot the messaging type of approach they took. Also, the Other vs. Priority email grouping is always correct, which I haven't found with other solutions, namely: Outlook and Apple Mail.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Nothing for now. The app works well on mobile and desktop ( I use iPhone/Mac).

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have multiple GMAIL accounts, and Spike let me unify them seamlessly into a native desktop and mobile app.

  ### 21. Spike is the best, they listen to what we want and make it happen!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amey L. | Co-Owner, Senior Career Consultant & Director of Member Services

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The chat feature and the team part of the email has got to be my favorite or most liked part of Spike

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I haven't really ran into anything that Ican say doesn't work properly or that I feel was put in place for no reason. I'm overall a very satisfied client

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication with team mates and making sure that no email goes unnoticed. Which in my business that can be very damaging.

  ### 22. Brilliant email and business software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vic S. | Order Management Operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I've been looking for good email software that's not super expensive and doesn't tie me down to one device. Spike is all that and more! I absolutely love the note feature where I can make checklists (I love a good tickbox) and take notes on the go. There is also a coworking feature, which is handy both for multiple people to work together, or if you like me just have too many email accounts for your own good! The customer service is amazing as well, I had a really good experience when I emailed with a question.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I suppose the only downside is that it's one more app taking up space on your phone, but that's a small price to pay.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am about as disorganised as they come, and I need lists, lists, lists to keep me on track. Spike is wonderful for keeping all my thoughts in one place, but accessible from multiple devices at the same time.

  ### 23. Outstanding application developed by a team that is super responsive and attentive.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason G. | Freelance Contributor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

It's on every OS and available to all over email! In fact that's the best part. Because it uses plain ol' email, and webRTC technologies, it doesn't matter if the people you message have Spike or not because anybody with an email address just gets the messages and can do as much or as little as they need to do on the application side. It has also had a side benefit of being dead simple to show people what happens if they choose to upgrade and use the Spike mail client. They pretty much already are using it in their email box whenever I send them an email and so they know what to expect. Such a simple yet brilliant concept using universal email to deliver the services!

The amount of improvements and additional features are also constantly coming and the development and support teams are very responsive and open to hearing about new features anytime. In fact, you simply reply to any message they've sent out if you need help or want to talk about a new feature.

I also LOVE being able to recall anything ever attached to an email whether sent or received without needing to find the message it was attached to itself. It's like another cloud storage app in this regard.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Dislike is a strong word-- I prefer to say "things that can be added or improved on."

The iOS apps don't allow text selection for copy/cut/paste operations without selecting the entire conversation. iOS/Windows apps are likely Electron/React based and don't have that issue. Not sure about Android. I'm sure the team is working on closer integration though as they have told me before so I'm not worried so much here.

A Linux client would be nice, but I use the web version so the only thing I'm missing is offline access the client gives. ...Then again, it's still email, so I can read and reply with the regular email app if I need to!

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I totally replaced a whole bunch of crazy messenger apps with Spike. I work with teams that want me to use Discord and Slack; my family is on iMessage if they have iPhones and the ones who are on Android want to use Facebook Message/Instagram DM/Whatever else. Now I just tell them "I'll be using simple email if that's alright;" most people don't know that a lot of these services have ways to send to email addresses (Slack/Discord/Tulip/iMessage). For the rest, I built a simple email-to-IM bot using opensource tools and Python.

I got my workmates to download and use Spike for use between ourselves instead of the Google Chat app. The added benefit is being able to participate in any discussion on any device and have an archived chat history right there in our email inboxes anytime. We can triage and backchannel on any emails we get from our clients and have a running note of what actions were taken place, with a complete task list and calendar right there. It makes a great CRM system that anyone can use.

Finally I got my immediate family to use Spike as an iMessage/FaceTime replacement since some of us are on Android and couldn't get all the multimedia messages. It's great for that!

  ### 24. Spike is a school must have

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anicia L. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I like how easy it is to communicate with my teachers, and the interface is very easy on my eyes. I also really like their response time. The settings menu is quite customizable and you can change everything from 12 to 24 hour clock to custom signature.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I dislike how their dark theme affects the background of emails, since emails are usually written with black text, it becomes very hard to read over the dark background.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually spend about ten minutes searching for an attachment but with spikes search bar you can click attachments and look through there, saves me a lot of time when looking for assignments. School projects can be difficult, since we cant meet in person and group emails get cluttered, but spike has a group feature, and its just like a group chat, very easy on my eyes and no more re:re:re:re ect.

  ### 25. Finally an email app I LOVE!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vitaly K. | Lead Web Dev, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

It aggregates emails by sender. Thus it groups all emails I got from a given person into one trail. (So I can actually delete all of them no matter how old)

It removes all the noise from emails leaving just the essential stuff - your email chain looks like a clean chat window. No more useless indentations and other stuff.

The search is simple and SUPER fast.

Where have you guys been all these many years?! :)

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I can't figure out how to label emails without actually moving them out to that label.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My emailage is now super organized and clear. Being able to view emails from multiple accounts all in the same window is amazing.

Bottom line - if you are not using it yet... I feel sorry for you :)

Simplifying complex email threads into cohesive communications.

  ### 28. Conversational messaging at it's best.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom Z. | COO

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The conversational platform is perfect for today's communications. We're currently exploring how we can use Spike for our internal comms instead of Flock SMS. The interface is very intuitive and the customer support is the best!

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Nothing that I dislike. I think it's still a young platform, so I'm keen to see how they expand it's functionality.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting team members to understand and be more consistent with more conversational messages.

  ### 29. Spike : make business communication into simple conservation

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I don't found any issue regarding spike, although a good software to make communication easy with clients in business manner.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spike helps to change regular business email conversation into chat conversation, which helps to easily collaborate with Clients.
It complete feels like chatting with clients in business mails

  ### 30. A fresh look at email!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The conversations view is a fresh and intuitive approach... it makes the most relevant threads very convenient to find and give timely responses.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Not much! If you have a large email archive (e.g., Gmail back to 2007), it can be a bit unweildy to manage but fortunately Spike has multiple views so that you can switch back to a more traditional approach to managing the old stuff.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spike's conversation view is compact and efficient... it keeps recent, relevant exchanges front and center.

  ### 31. Vuyile Mthethwa Review

Instantaneous email replies, it is easy to keep track of treads/conversation because the moment your response to an email is easily accessible and always available. It's a seamless and quick response tool for the on-the-go business person.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

The subscription fee is not very economical for the average South African

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless and organize email feedback

  ### 32. Perfect Email & Task Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The best are the tasks. can keep an eye on everything so perfectly

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

maybe for the future it would be cool to assign emails to team members. and comments under emails.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the problem before that was that i always emailed all the tasks back and forth to my co-worker. spike is perfect for that.

  ### 33. Replace Outlook

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelli B. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Easy to set up. Spike team is there with any questions you might have. Conversation email is easy to use and very quick. So far, it has not frozen up my computer or having repeating annoying pop-ups.
I added multiple emails, started collaborating on notes and projects with other co-workers.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

So far, I have not found anything that I do not like.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working through Monday morning, emails go a lot faster now.

  ### 34. Great in concept, but less necessary than I thought

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The UI is very nice, and I like the app's concept, but I felt myself wanting to return to regular email.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

It's just not as necessary as expected. I still felt like I was using email, but without the usual feeling.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think if it were more widely used, it would feel more comfortable. Customers seem used to email, so it's what they're comfortable with.

  ### 35. Aallows me to answer my clients and customers fast, but bad user experience

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Fine Art | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I'm a person that struggles to answer emails fast because most apps don't allow me to see the entire conversation in one go. I've always felt that for answering someone's email, I have to sit down at my computer, look at the whole discussion one email by one with my client, and answer them correctly.
With Spike, it doesn't happen anymore. Now my emails are just like a WhatsApp conversation or a chat conversation. I can look at the whole discussion in one go because it is like any other chat app. It looks so much like a chat that allows me to answer fast and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

1. The fact that you can't multi-select on the search results. What is going on with that? you can multi-select threads on the inbox but not on the search results and you can't do that either when you click on a contact on all their conversations. I have talked to their support and they said that feature is coming on the next update. That shouldn't even be a feature, how is that not possible?

2. You can't label multiselected threads, emails or people all at the same time... WOW that's a basic, seriously how in the world this is not possible to be done?

3.The fact that you can't move all the conversations from the same thread, at the same time into a specific label. You are only moving the contact into the label. Which is good as long as you work with Spike only. If I happen to access Gmail from someone else's computer, the conversations won't be labelled because the other email apps don't work with labelling contacts, they work with labelling emails.

4. You can't move threads and emails from one account to another one. I can do that on many other apps but it's not possible here. So now I have to do this using a different app.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can answer emails fast, and I can finally look at an entire conversation at one go.

  ### 36. I don't feel allergic to replying an email anymore

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Mail to chat flow, All spam gose to a folder

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

A little bit more padding in email sumary bar, more clear actions like archive

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Im not having problems

  ### 37. Love Fresh Approach To Email

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand C. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Compilation of all mails into a single thread is a great approach

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Unable to respond to individual mail threads - either through a script or through an icon

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have 6 mail boxes and now everything is in single view ; I like this

**Official Response from Spike Team:**

> Hi Anand,
Thank you for leaving us a review of your experience using Spike. It's definitely possible to reply to email threads on Spike - we'd love to help you with that and see if maybe your account settings need to be adjusted. If you could write to us at chat@spikenow.com our team would be glad to help.

  ### 38. Spike is a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arno L. | P, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

One app to rule them all: notes, tasks, events and email, all in a single app.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Lack of control over notes and tasks layering/display...

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

Spike is innovative. The idea is simple and the realization is perfect. You save time, gain efficiency; you do in one application what took you 3 before. A little more control over the presentation of the notes and that would be perfect.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Switching between 3-4 apps is not efficient. Gathering every aspect of a daily schedule into one single app is really awesome.

  ### 39. Cool app - terrible service

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Innovative app, and I like the idea. Seems like it could solve a lot of problems.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Billing is not transparent, tough to make billing changes on your own. And the support team is unresponsive.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

Still hoping to become customer but pissed that my billing is messed up and nobody has responded to my support requests.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplicity of running multiple emails. My problem is their customer service or lack of.

  ### 40. Exceptionally Beautiful Product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Solomon S. | Chief Strategy Officer of Rework and CEO of Adwa Technologies, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I have never felt an email can be built this way, beautiful, inviting, friendly, functional, and smart. Those are the things I have liked about Spike and it was instantly that I asked my team to remove the other email applications they were using and move to spike. I didn't stop there, I reached out to the spike team and their response and desire to connect with me proved me that I made the right choice.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I wish the color (the purple one) could be a different color. But still I don't hate it.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very easy and inviting. When email is like that it encourages my team to be productive in the one thing we use often daily.

  ### 41. A productivity app beyond only email which I'm still learning to use to the max

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis F. | school leader, School of Photography I and II

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I like the customizable sorting between Priority email and Other email.

My personal laptop has a 13" screen. The font sizes *seem* significantly larger to me on this display than Apple Mail (which for years had been my go-to email app).

I like the stripping down to the basics making email more like chat/messaging.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I'm pretty sure I've already had a reply from Spike tech support on this (which I might have to refer back to), but I frequently from one incoming email want to both Reply and Forward it. Given that I'm working in the Subject mode to show only Unread email, I find it a nuisance to both Reply and Forward.

I'm not yet clear if and how I can make the standard font size larger for outgoing email (or change its font style), but I'd like to be able to do that.

Several times, I've accidentally clicked to mark all remaining Unread mail marked Read, couldn't find any way to Undo that (incl. with keyboard shortcuts immediately).

I miss a feature of Apple Mail of being able to quickly access email addresses from Apple Contacts. (I am Mac only, not PC user). For sending to a recipient Spike dosn't yet know about, I often have to copy+paste in an email from Apple Contacts (or from Apple Mail).

I don't see (yet) the ability to quickly "harvest" the name and email address to put into my Apple Contacts/Contact+ as a new contact. I *can* do that easily in Apple Mail. (I have more than 12,000 Contacts in Apple Contacts/Contacts+.) There doesn't seem to be any easy way (yet) to do that from Spike with a new recipient's email.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm coming from years of using (on Macs) Entourage, then Apple Mail. I very much appreciate how Spike looks larger for me on the 13" MacBook Pro I've been using to work from home since the pandemic (March, 2020). My 27" iMac is still in my office on campus, not here, so the apparent font size on the 13" display *really* matters to me as I do a *lot* of email daily.

I'm still learning all that Spike can do and sorting out which features I need from it the most. I'm thankful for the excellent tech support at Spike and more recently, from Shira there (MVP program).

  ### 42. A positive first impression that hopefully is lasting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy S. | Information Technology Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Spike appears to be a minimalist dream when it comes to being an email client. It works to thread messages together much like instant messaging apps. The UI design is quite elegant.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

So far, I don't really have any dislikes. It appears to do exactly what it should. I have noticed some sluggishness in syncing between gmail when deleting emails in order to clear them out. This is with the Windows desktop client. I can't say this is much of an issue at this point.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I've just started to use the client but so far I'm really enjoying it. If you are looking for a very CLEAN email client to handle the clutter that other interfaces present you with, this could be a valid option for you.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tend to lose track of a conversation with Gmails standard and conversation views. I just don't find them that helpful. Thick/full featured clients like Outlook are just...well too much. I don't need all those options and quite frankly their UI works against them if you are looking for a more minimalist and streamlined approach.

  ### 43. The future of emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

How useful the platform is and very organised makes emailing easier

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

Not found any dislikes yet I will keep you posted

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

Try it and find how useful they make emailing

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm still getting used to the platform but I like how simple and organised it makes emailing

  ### 44. Paradigm shift

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin S. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Everything intelligent sorted and easy to find in my main tool.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

The price model with one license per email account hurts when you, like me, a consultant, have many clients
The lack of control of my contact list, can´t remove misspelled email adresses

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to keep notes and the wonder of having conversation history over a long time as I have in my SMS messages.

  ### 45. Outstanding email rating and management software.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bogdan G. | iOS Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

It is a very complete software for chatting and converting a common email inbox into something more dynamic. The support is excellent and gives a technical visualization that can be worked on. The interface is very good and it's a pleasure to have it. The software has the scope I need.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I'm alluding to the fact that the software lacks variability in many of the functions, I consider that there are not very frequent updates.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I recommend it because the result has been exceptional, without a doubt constantly improving with each of the situations that derive from email. The inbox is excellent and will help you find a solid balance.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making a very important dynamic to communicate via email, it is excellent and improves the quality of service in professional interaction. We have made an excellent management by mail formidable.

  ### 46. Easy to use and super useful with multiple mail adresses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Writing and Editing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

I love the unified tab which unifies all my accounts into one inbox

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

I would like a account feature on spike where I log into my account and gain access to all my inboxes just like that, that is a feature I miss. For this to be implemented it would need 2 factor auth otherwise someone could just completely take over someones life with one login.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Desktop app with good notifications same with mobile, notifications pop up immediately unlike the Gmail app.
This offers a nice UI which i really enjoy unlike the standard windows mail app or outlook this is just so modern and user friendly.

  ### 47. Simply the best email client

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dario F. | Account & Operations Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

Managing different items in the same place

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

saving time

  ### 48. A professional network administration setup is managed with spike.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Spike?**

The customer relationship management service developed by the spike system allows me to track and configure cloud messaging scheduling, email interaction funding, intuitive chat prioritizations, path analysis upload relationships, electronic payment negotiation reconciliations, collaborative resource concentration segments, proactive chat formations, instant interaction asset regulation, personalized notifications for prioritized users, image download speed, dynamic sales drive text editing collaborations, is originated through the light purple colored, circular format representation with spiral white colored expressions of the system of this data programming.

**What do you dislike about Spike?**

An image download error occurs within the sprike programming marketing system, due to its base algorithms function not having the necessary resolution encryptions backup position to transform visual content input formats, its document sharing and junk file classification being deficient, due to its unstable content encryption access failing to gather the scalable messaging quality necessary to develop projects, and modify scalable marketing flow conversion shopping lists, make it deficient in a high percentage of this application's data communication position.

**Recommendations to others considering Spike:**

I recommend spike instant messaging software as its analytical loading accuracy has allowed me to set up foreground business tracking levels, where its electronic content mediation allows me to support accurate informational text checks, campaign web targeting, real-time message delivery synchronization, manageable remote media through encrypted file storage, real-time task sharing, fixed negotiation referrals, intelligent sales reconciliation, real-time chat document download offerings, incremental planning edit process checks and task tracking, make this communication tracking programming recommendable.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The spike system analytic networks possess adequate data communication information portal administration, where its capacity employment of message sending security, letter design appearance indications, real-time message arrival notification, business query adaptation scheme import managements, robust collaboration conditionings, selection of digital notification sending campaigns, interface customization managements, chat group creation, fast contact search results downloads, incorporation of user-defined origin video calls, are of the uses achieved with my company for this application.

Does not work with all accounts. Of the 2 Exchange accounts I have, one works, one doesn't.

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It works better than other mail apps on IOS.

  ### 50. The best email app!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iván C. | Pedagodical asistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The conversation layout is great, it let you find any mail no matter how old it is... Also it's very useful for searching files and attachments...

The dark theme is to black, maybe it will work better whitey dark greys...

Just use it, you won't regret

**What problems is Spike solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organize mails from my work by contacts
