I had the opportunity to use Sparity's BIPort to migrate 350+ Tableau workbooks to Power BI for my manufacturing industry client, and the overall experience has been very positive. Sparity's team has done a great job of simplifying what could otherwise be a complex and time-consuming migration process. 1. End to End Migration: The tool combined with Sparity's services are incredible, with regular status updates. 2. Efficient Analysis and documentation: BIPort does a fantastic job of analyzing Tableau workbooks, making sure that key relationships and structures are documented. This feature really helped us to baseline the existing reports.. 3. Time-Saving Automation: One of the standout features is the automation of the migration process. This saved us 50% of time, especially when working with multiple workbooks. It's clear that the tool is designed to handle bulk migrations effectively. 4. Responsive Team: The team was fantastic! Whenever I had to talk to them, they responded quickly and provided helpful guidance, ensuring that any minor roadblocks were cleared up promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Sparity BIPort Migration Assistant? 1. Handling Hyperfiles: While BIPort does an excellent job with most standard Tableau features, however when it comes to Hyperfiles where a little more automation during the migration would have been helpful. However, this is something that’s expected with any automated migration tool. 2. Automating RLS : Row Level Security automation could have been better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. BIPort is solving the major challenge of migrating dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI efficiently and accurately. Manual migration is time-consuming, error-prone, and resource-intensive, especially for large enterprises with complex data models and numerous reports. BIPort automates much of this process, ensuring consistency in visualizations, data connections, and logic. The key benefits for us have been: Significant time savings in the migration process. Reduced risk of errors and inconsistencies. Cost efficiency, by minimizing manual rework. Smooth transition for end users, with reports closely matching their original Tableau experience. Overall, Sparity's BIPort and managed services is great anyone looking to transition from Tableau to Power BI. It makes the migration process efficient and minimizes the manual effort required.
