What do you like best about SpamTitan Email Security?

SpamTitan has a quick, easy initial setup as well as extremely responsive support. Any ticket I opened was responded to within 5-15 minutes and resolved within the day. Since implementation, we've seen a marked drop in spam/spoofed messages actually arriving in inboxes. We've also been able to migrate email hosts without difficulty or drop in service. What do you dislike about SpamTitan Email Security?

Some of the online guides have information that is outdated and can be misleading. For example, in their HostGator setup page here https://helpstc.spamtitan.com/support/solutions/articles/4000066181-setup-hostgator-mx-records-, the cloud7 and cloud8 MX records are given, which may be incorrect for new users on other clusters. It also calls for Remote Mail Exchanger rather than the correct Local Mail Exchanger setting in cPanel. Highly recommend using live support instead of guides. What problems is SpamTitan Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are running Zimbra on premiss and we had lots of issues with spam, phishing and malicious email. Since we are using SPAM TITAN we haven't received any of this emails. The great thing is that every user receives a daily confirmation of the emails quarantined and retained so that they have control to release and allow then or delete them definitely. The Solution is not so easy for MSPs. We work with Domain Groups for our customers. If you have 5 technicians and 30 customers you have to create 150 Accounts to grand all technicians access to Domain Group Administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SpamTitan Email Security:

It is a great, easy to use but complex AntiSpam and AntiVirus Solution. I recommend that your target E-Mail System is able to get E-Mails through MX/SMTP Mail Transfer. It is not so easy to use in a POP3 environmment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SpamTitan Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is clearly the AntiSpam and AntiVirus protection for our customers. In most cases our customers use Office 365 as their E-Mail System. Therefore, the solution grants a very good protection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When not on a private cloud you are limited in some of the settings, like allowing certain Black-listed domains to enter even though they're black-listed. Example: Allowing known IP's from fake SPAM domains to test/educate your firm on phishing attacks and the sort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SpamTitan Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to curb the amount of truly malicious spam (We have received no viruses or malicious software links.) and given me tools to prevent and route out more traditional phishing attacks. What do you like best about SpamTitan Email Security?

Spamtitan allows user to control how you want the spam filter to work according to your organization's needs. Their prompt response to queries and feedback minimized migration headaches when we moved from another service provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpamTitan Email Security?

Cost for a bigger organization would be an issue as Spamtitan charges by the number of accounts whereas some providers out there are charging by the number of domains. We are still getting spam (though a lot lesser) and does we do not see significant improvement in filtering quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SpamTitan Email Security:

SpamTitan would be suitable for companies without technical knowledge and just want an out of the box spam filtering solution, however, if the user would like to have more control on the filtering, he/she would be able to do so. What do you like best about SpamTitan Email Security?

SpamTitan was easy to set up and quickly started blocking a large amount of spam. It has been pretty hands-off since, which is nice. There was a round of whitelisting that we needed to do in the beginning, mostly because some of our users actually wanted bulk mailers to get through. Whitelisting is an easy process. What do you like best about SpamTitan Email Security?

When you evaluate security technologies the most important feature is whether the technology is actually protecting your assets or not. SpamTitan allows us to tell our customers that their email communication is secure. So, SpamTitan works as they say it should.

After that, there many other valuable aspects I can mention so far:

- The involvement from Titan HQs representative through the evaluation period

- The technical support we are receiving from their local partner, 7x24x365 in spanish

- SpamTitan being a lot easier to manage than the previous solutions

- The API which allows us to get information that with our previous vendor was completely beyond our reach Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpamTitan Email Security?

So far, after 2 months in production following 2 months of trial, and having migrated 15K users from 200 tenants, I can't find something I actually dislike. Maybe brand positioning, at least in Mexico, but so far it hasn't been an issue and we are more than eager to help Titan HQ with this challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you have any doubts after reviewing publicly available information, reach for someone at Titan HQ, ask them to assist you in understanding and evaluating your technology. If you find something with the standard setup or pricing doesn't work for you, ask them, we've found that they are always willing to make business happen.

What problems is SpamTitan Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

Short answer: improved customer satisfaction, improved productivity, improved profitability

Long answer:

We replaced another Email Security SaaS vendor. We had been working with them for almost 6 years, but we were having a lot of issues. From a lot of undetected malware, to an awful technical support. They were forcing us to purchase add-ons to improve malware detection. We lost 50% of our installed base because of all these issues in the last 12 months. We made a trial mirroring email traffic to Spam Titan, 90% of the malware and abnormal emails it filtered passed as undetected with the other vendor. We don't need to spend countless hours talking to upset customers. Also, Spam Titan has the same price of the basic product of the other vendor, but less than 40% of the price with all the required add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
