We have been in the implementation process since July 22 with a projected go live date of October 22. It is now almost April 23 and not completed. We installed the software into our NetSuite production account in December and are still spending hours manually doing taxes internally even though we pay for their services to file on our behalf. The most helpful thing is the simplicity and the ease of access. Sovos is easy to use because of the simple navigation and UI. The upsides to using Sovos are convenience and having a neat way to integrate important documents into your accounting system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I primarily use Sovos for Resale Certificates. The only problems I encounter when adding an account to Sovos are if I make a mistake when entering the state, I have to change the expiration date to get it to wipe that entry. If I want to add multiple new accounts at the same time, I have to open a new tab to accomplish it; the website does not allow me to back out and start from scratch quickly. I started working on Sovos this past February. It was my first time trying this software, and I was impressed with how many ways there are to load the information.

The best part is that you can work your financials in an excel workbook and import them in Sovos within seconds. You can also import PDFs. You can copy the previous statement or create a new one. It's just so easy and flexible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far, I can't say anything wrong about the software. The customer service has also been great. Every time I had an issue, I would get help within 1 hour from them. This makes it a great platform and a great company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sovos currently files all of our state returns each month/quarter. They are done timely and my rep is very responsive and easy to work with. The initial set up was very costly, with our company being charged every time we called for assistance or were ready to set up new state jurisdiction. This was above and beyond the initial fee. Also, we use Net Suite and the two systems (Sovos GTD and NetSuite) are not working well together in identifying those clients that are tax exempt and have exemption certificates loaded, requiring us to manually override any transactions to suppress sales tax. There is also an issue with SOVOs over riding the tax calculation made by our retail web site, changing the Cash Receipt with it is imported into NS, causing it to not match the initial sale $'s on our website. There have been some issues. I think the biggest one is because the cloud solution on the Sovos side was set up for cloud ERP, at our request. When we stayed with our on prem ERP, the Sovos set up, think, remained as if we were cloud ERP. I can understand why. It just caused some issues in the past. fast populated results- results from website are useful in submitting sales tax to each state needed. Lots of manipulation to get correct info- but better than manual process to complete each state. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

customer service needs work- took 2 months to close ticket with rep; poor communication and email was "overlooked".
