Works OK once setup and their setup process did catch some errors in our tax reporting in one state. It also shows line item tax compared to the native NetSuite taxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Sovos? We have been in the implementation process since July 22 with a projected go live date of October 22. It is now almost April 23 and not completed. We installed the software into our NetSuite production account in December and are still spending hours manually doing taxes internally even though we pay for their services to file on our behalf. This has been nothing but a headache. Good luck if you have any customization or scripts in your current environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Sovos solving and how is that benefiting you? It calculates all of our invoices at a line item level so some items are exempt from taxes while others are taxable. The only thing that I like about Sovos is that they send invoices to the government, if the solution is working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Sovos? Professionalism, communication, speed, compliance, development, project management, etc. Professionalism - deadlines are not kept, nobody takes accountability for problems Communication - emails are not responded to, information communicated is clearly not understood Speed - questions and errors are not addressed in a reasonable time-frame, constant reminders and escalations must occur in order for work to get done Compliance - since go-live we've already been out-of-compliance with the mandates of the government for 2 instance an these issues have still not been corrected Development - the development and coding of Sovos is very sloppy and not what would be expected for the price paid Project Management - updates were not regularly sent, the project manager had no idea what was going on, budget usagage was not accurately communicated, overages were charged without our approval Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Sovos: Find another partner. Sovos does not show any care or regard for us as their customer. This communication is absolutely terrible. The cloud is where most software solutions are or are in the process of moving to. It’s the best way to provide customers with a scalable solution flexible enough to meet the changing needs of their businesses. We believe that billing by use is the fairest billing model available as it ensures that customers are only paying for their actual usage. If there is uncertainty as to how our pricing model works, I would be happy to walk you through it as well as provide a transaction log complete with date/time stamps of your company’s use.
