**What do you like best about SourceWhale?**

SourceWhale has been a total game-changer for outreach.
I've been using it for almost 6 months and absolutely loved the platform. It had a huge impact on our response rates—especially with second and third follow-ups. The multichannel approach was a standout feature: we could start outreach via LinkedIn and, if there was no response, automatically follow up with an email a few days later. The flexibility in outreach sequences made it incredibly easy to stay consistent without being repetitive. Plus, the built-in metrics were invaluable—being able to track which days and times were most effective really helped us fine-tune our strategy. I can’t recommend SourceWhale enough for anyone serious about improving outreach performance.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

It can take a little while to understand the software and figure out the best way to create a campaign but this is normal wen getting to grips with a new software.

**What problems is SourceWhale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a recruiter focused on new business development, SourceWhale has been an absolute game-changer. It solved one of my biggest challenges: staying consistent and effective with outreach at scale. The ability to automate multichannel sequences—like starting with a LinkedIn message and then following up via email after a few days—meant that no potential client slipped through the cracks.

What really stood out was the boost in response rates, especially from second and third follow-ups. It kept me top-of-mind with prospects without having to constantly chase them manually.

On top of that, the centralized workflow was a huge time-saver. No more bouncing between LinkedIn, my inbox, spreadsheets, and other tools. Everything—emails, LinkedIn messages, sequences, and performance metrics—is right there in one place, making my day-to-day much smoother and far less stressful. That freed up more time to focus on high-value activities like building relationships and closing new business.

And the data insights? Incredibly useful. Knowing which days and times generate the best engagement helped me fine-tune my outreach strategy for even better results.

If you’re in recruitment and serious about scaling business development efficiently, I can’t recommend SourceWhale enough.

Potentially that the messages are marked as spam, but most of the time it's fine!

Keeping track of all my leads in one place, and saving me time by mass sending messages to them in groups instead of manually messaging each person one by one, the time I save has allowed me to reach out to more and more companies and get more business!

I’ve told others that I consider SourceWhale my "first hire" for my independent recruiting business. While there’s some upfront effort to customize it to my needs, the setup process is straightforward, and once it's running, it far exceeds my expectations. The platform is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to implement into my workflow without disrupting my daily tasks.

The live feed of my campaigns is a game-changer—I can see real-time opens and clicks, which is a huge value add. But my absolute favorite feature? The "To-Do" section. It keeps all my manual tasks organized, ensuring my campaigns continue moving forward. I use SourceWhale daily, and it has completely transformed how I approach outreach. Follow-up is critical in both business development and recruiting, and I’ll admit, I haven’t always been the best at keeping track of it. Having SourceWhale keep me accountable is a game-changer.

The LinkedIn integration is phenomenal. It streamlines my workflow so efficiently that when I’m chasing down a lead, I can communicate quickly and add them seamlessly into my pre-created campaigns with just a few clicks.

Beyond the platform itself, the customer support is top-tier. Anytime I have a question or need help optimizing my setup, the team is quick to respond and genuinely invested in making sure I get the most out of the tool.

I recently got a friend signed up and will continue to advocate for SourceWhale. Oh, and shoutout to Jake from SourceWhale—he’s way cooler than Jake from State Farm.

Not a knock on SourceWhale—I just wish I could integrate it with my company’s BullHorn CRM. Unfortunately, as a 1099 contractor and solo member, that’s not an option. I can only imagine how much more powerful and valuable it would be if I could! But hey, if the sales team needs a contact, hit me up!

**What problems is SourceWhale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SourceWhale has completely changed the game for me as a Full Desk Recruiter. Before, I was juggling outreach manually, losing track of follow-ups, and spending way too much time organizing my pipeline. Now? Everything is automated, tracked, and streamlined.

The To-Do list keeps me accountable, ensuring no lead, candidate, or client falls through the cracks. The LinkedIn integration is a lifesaver—I can add people to my campaigns in seconds, making my workflow crazy efficient. SourceWhale does exactly what it says it will, and it does it really well

The integration with your CRM (Bullhorn in our case) is seamless, and the amount of time it's saved us by automatically tracking activity is great - our consultants now spend way less time doing admin, and way more time actually recruiting

The tool itself works like a great daily planner for our consultants - we're not big on mass-spam automation, but we still love SourceWhale - our consultants log in every day, do their calls and their follow-ups on LinkedIn, and never miss out as a result

The team are nothing short of fantastic - I've spoken to so many people at all levels of the business - they really value you as a customer, implement feedback and keep you in the loop

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

There really isn't anything to dislike at this point - we're 1 year into our time with SourceWhale, and there hasn't been an issue that wasn't addressed and solved. I'd love to see a feature that scrapes your CRM and alerts you of people who have changed roles/companies!

A/B testing on outreach is really helpful - get better every day

I use SourceWhale daily to help streamline my recruiting efforts. It saves me so much time and I can quickly analyze how my campaign is performing. I also really like the extension and and use it to add candidates straight from Linkedin into Bullhorn, our ATS. At a quick glance I can see if they are already in our system, and I have their phone number(s) and email(s) in seconds as well. I also have found their help center useful, and I'm able to get answers quickly from their team.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

I really like the platform as a whole. If I had one gripe it is that once I search for a particular candidate to make an update to them, like stopping their campaign, I have to refresh or it will keep those candidates and will want me to apply a task to all the people I have recently searched.

It helps me to automate my outreach which as a whole saves me so much time. I can easily keep track of what tasks I have to do and analyze how my campaigns and those of my teammates are doing. It helps to creat efficiencies and is a huge part of my day.

The platform makes it easy to build, test, and scale multi-step sequences across email and LinkedIn. T
Plays well with LinkedIn Recruiter, that cuts down admin time massively.
Real-time analytics are actually useful, helping us track response rates, optimise subject lines, and understand what’s working.
Fantastic customer support - the onboarding and success teams have been responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in our success.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

Not necessarily a Sourcewhale issue - but would be ideal to always have access to the correct emails. 
More advanced AI-powered suggestions (e.g. subject line scoring or content tone) would take this to the next level.
I've also found sourcewhale rankings give poor scores if you are making it personalised - taking away the relevance of the scoring.

I love the integration with Bull Horn, the platform is pretty seamless . Creating campaigns are real easy, if you're doing the same thing week to week, you can copy the campaign and adjust to the next week.

If there were more options for results of calls, if you CONNECT with a business but not interested right now, I wish we could label it that way rather than interested or not interested.

**What do you like best about SourceWhale?**

We are a small firm so the ability to easily build contact outreach campaigns that automate some of our outreach is awesome.  It easily integrates with our ATS, Crelate so that is a plus. It's allowed us to cover more ground.  The best thing that I love about it for myself and my recruiters is that your call plan is mostly built when you walk in the door and sit down.  It has a function that tells you what steps in the sequence are due whether that is a phone call, a text, an email or LinkedIn message.

It's also very user friendly.  We tried other sequencing software and some of them were too many steps and not as user friendly.  You can literally sit down and start using Sourcewhale.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

Not really a downside, but it takes a little bit to get your sequences set up.  Once you do, it's a major time-saver, though.

Sometimes my Sourcewhale freezes or shuts down ( ex: every time I do my Linkedin connections it makes my Linkedin shut down for a few minutes so I can not use the feature) additionally sometimes I will archive someone or list them as " not interested" and they still pop up on my call list. I also dont like how it doesnt delete a phone number once I've marked it as invalid or the wrong person.

Sourcewhale is a feature-rich sales and recruiting enablement system that tightly integrates with our chosen ATS, Bullhorn.  Its intuitive interface allows our full-desk recruiters to quickly (and frequently) design and execute their business development and sourcing campaigns easily.  The Chrome add-in allows recruiters to quickly build targeted lists from within the ATS or LinkedIn.

SourceWhale's customer success team provides excellent training and the support reps are knowledgeable and responsive.

System implementation was straightforward, offering significant flexibility to accommodate and journal our unique business processes.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

There is not much to dislike.  There is a minor issue with the UX/UI:  when clicking on a particular campaign after filtering the view within the campaign area, the system resets to the original view rather than the filtered view.  This could easily be resolved.

SourceWhale empowers our recruiters to build there own multichannel recruiting and business development sequences.  It enables recruiters to track, execute and report on the touches that occur through their outreach activities.  Responses to campaign activity are monitored and handled automatically (and accordingly).

SourceWhale is most helpful to me for BD and recruiting. Starting in recruiting this year, organizing the things I need to do daily is so much easier with the tools in SourceWhale. My first-ever client contract came from my SourceWhale campaign. The more I learn how to use the tools and resources, the better it gets! The To-Do's, customizable steps, and AI assistance are excellent. I was also pretty surprised they offer live, remote training - I've learned a ton in just two sessions! I use SourceWhale daily now.

I would like the option to customize the theme/colors. A small thing for some, but for me it makes a big difference to navigate all of my open tabs (easier) with custom colors.

Some of the functionality hasn't been as simple to figure out by myself so I've needed to engage SW's Support team, but to be fair they are amazing and been very helpful with some of my more esoteric needs!

SourceWhale allows for Sales Outreach to be personalized and automated without any fall-off. It maintains consistancy and has awarded our organizations meetings with new client logos in less than six months. 

Additionally, the onboarding and integration is quick and pain free. The staff is highly knowledgeable and responsive. The backend is continuously collecting feedback and rolling out enhancements.

While this is not a dislike, it must be known that you will have different users - some that are quick to adopt and become your power users and others that pace behind. To be setup for success, appoint an operational Admin that can assist those in need for common Q&A until everyone is confident using the tool. It's more upfront work but it unlocks results and time saved as the you build momentum.

Business Development, Outreach, and Booking Client Meetings. The way it throttles the email sends every 3 minutes ensure we do not get caught in the spam folder of our recipients.

The ease of use, the clarity, and the functionality make this a welcome addition to my tech stack.
I've tried my ATS's version of a similar service SourceWhale provides and there was nothing remotely like the ease of use that SW gives me.

The three pieces benefit from daily: 
1) pulling data from LI efficiently and sourcing contact information (email or ph#) 
2) generating recruiting campaigns that can be personalized and individualized or NOT - dealer's choice! The ability to switch back and forth from a multi-use message to a personalized message is so simple; 
3) the data tracking - seeing who has opened what, measuring how well a campaign is doing, etc. - is so valuable 

It was easy to get started, and to make SW part of my daily routine, and happily, my most tech-resistant colleagues have embraced it.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

It'd be nice to have more "round-the-clock" access to support for users who prefer to work nights or weekends.
Perhaps it already exists but I'd welcome a SourceWhale 200-level training now that I'm comfortable with the fundamentals. There are likely many valuable features I haven't explored or maximized.

**What problems is SourceWhale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to run a campaign with series of messages been a big time saver. My previous process didn't give me the time to manually generate a 2nd, 3rd or more contact with target candidates. I often find that my "last time to" act email gets pushed my response rate to a healthy number.
My ATS stopped being able to provide "return receipt" so that was an unexpected level of accuracy I appreciate from SW.

I would like more internal integration with the different aspects within the SourceWhale app. Being able to create tasks more easily on a contact - definitely room for improvement here.

Creating projects and campaigns is easy and accessible, allowing you to quickly reach out to candidates when new, similar searches come up.
The help bar is fast and responsive—if the bot can’t assist, a team member connects right away to provide support.
I use it every day.
Once the campaign is set up, it's really easy to manage.
It integrates seamlessly with our CRM.

The search tool is effective but a bit clunky and not very user-friendly. 
Sending an email outside of a campaign can be a bit of a process. 
It also takes time to become fully comfortable with all the platform’s features.

Contact rates - Meetings have increased significantly.  

Follow-ups are automated, making it easy to track campaign progress and adjust when project details change.  

The follow-up system offers busy candidates multiple chances to respond.  

I really like the LinkedIn connection request feature, which helps grow my network within Financial Services.  

I can see how I rank compared to my peers.  

If my response rate differs, I can easily compare my approach to my colleague's and identify areas for improvement.

I have been using SourceWhale for almost 2 years and absolutely LOVE it!  Every time I have used it for a candidate campaign- I have made the PLACEMENT.  Yep, every...single...time.  The software is easy to use and if you have any questions they have loads of webinars, tips and a phenomenal customer success team to help you with any questions about best practices.  SW allows you to completely customize your outreach over multiple channels (InMail, Connect Requests, Emails, Text, Phone Calls, Tasks, lather, rinse, and repeat and it keeps you completely organized with a daily to do list across all of your campaigns so that nothing gets overlooked or forgotten.  On top of that, it gives you all kinds of cool intel like how many opens your emails get, how many replies you get, how much interest is being generated and most importantly- how many meetings you get booked as a result of the campiagn!

I cannot imagine my recruiting life without it, and being the tool/tech stack junkie that I am- there is nothing out there that even comes close.

**What do you dislike about SourceWhale?**

Nothing!   I wish they would build it out just a little more and offer an ATS/CRM built on top of it.  They would take over that market tomorrow if they did.  :)
