I will be honest the reason I used this in first place because it's a open source software but I am amazed to see the result of a video project I tried to develop. There is no such thing to dislike as of now but I had some issues with 3gp format videos, however I was able to do the job after changing the format and since it was kind of free version i used i did not had much expectations. I think obvious answer would be for video editing however when it comes to a particular project you are working on its really vast and the kind of options I got was amazing great GUI, large list for formats, amazing effects and avaibke for different portals like windows and Mac as well. I have been searching for video editing software for quite a long time that can fulfill my requirements, and that is what I found in Avidemux. Not so far. I am not sure what can be added in this additionally but so far the best among others for me. Developers may work on better transcoding I guess else its perfect in all aspects. I have seen with other video editors that they look like some video game-like interface. But this one is perfect.
