What is Source Insight used for?

There is a option to find the keywords or files in whole project files. But is there any way to find keywords specifically in subfolders? Currently I could not find one. I am using Mac in my current company and wanted to bring this tool to the company based on my good experience prior. But then I came to know that it's not supported and that was sad.

I've been having a problem using Layouts. I Have saved my layout, and I load it in the project. But every time project restarts, I need to do it again. Should I have to save my Layout file in the respective project folder?
