In a world where streaming has completely taken over the way people discover new music, it is important to have digital versions of your music for people to listen to in an instant. Nobody is buying CD's anymore, and they will buy vinyl records strictly for nostalgia, but soundcloud is a great platform for putting out your music and connecting with other artists and fans regardless of your genre. **What do you dislike about SoundCloud?** The only thing I dislike about Soundcloud is that it isn't considered a major streaming platform like Spotify, Yeezer, Pandora, or Apple Music. I wish that it got more recognition for what it does and how it helps small independent artists grow their platform and fanbase, especially if they have minimal funds starting out. Maybe someday it will pick up steam in the future of streaming and become the next best thing. I feel like it's just missing a few pieces of the puzzle. **Recommendations to others considering SoundCloud:** If you've been thinking about uploading your music somewhere but either don't have the necessary funds for Spotify or Apple Music, definitely put it on SoundCloud to start out. You will at least be able to upload for free and promote a streamable link of your song for free to everybody in your network, and you can almost test out if this will work for you. **What problems is SoundCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** For me, it is the best streaming platform to promote and release beats and loops. It isn't easy to grow a following these days strictly off of major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music unless you already have a serious fan base and can redirect traffic to your music releases. SoundCloud is the best underground connection to pushing your music to people who are all fighting to achieve the same goal, and some are even looking to collaborate with like-minded artists, so you never really know what's out there until you start to release your music. ### 14. Restrict access in some countries. I often have problems loading music lyrics. You can listen to artists before they are famous, Also unreleased music or yet to be released music from up and coming stars, or household names. It helps unknowns become known. **What do you dislike about SoundCloud?** Not much to say here it's a truly great platform. I would say the ads are super annoying. Also if you are listening to a song from an artist it starts playing tracks from similar artists, as opposed to tracks from the original artist you selected. **What problems is SoundCloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** With such a competitive market in the music industry, and with music streaming apps SoundCloud really gets at the root of music. The user experience should be improved by fixing minor errors.
