Solidwork have N number of features some of them which I like most is its assembly making. You don't require any other file to combine with other parts. There are no such things which I dislike but sometimes combining the parts can lead to difficulty in reframing them. Solidworks is very intuitive easy to use the software. I used SolidWorks when I had to come up with new products. Therefore having to design 3d images on the fly and constantly changing them was a requirement. Luckily, Solidworks never disappoints me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Probably because this was my first 3d software to learn, I really can not say anything negative about the software. i wish I learned more about parametric designs. I hear that SolidEdge is a better option for that feature. Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks Product Designer: I feel that Solidworks is very intuitive and easy to use. After Solidworks, I had to work with SolidEdge and found it not as intuitive. If you want to skip second and third prototyping having a good 3d software as Solidworks helps. I remember using Pro-E (now PTC Creo) and I had to choose a sketch plane and a reference axis or 2. With Solidworks, it's sketch on any planes you want. We use Solidworks 2017 a lot and there are at least 5 system crashes a day. This is very inconvenient due to loss of work.
