**What do you like best about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?**

SWE takes away the tedious task of inputting repeated information on various drawings and tables. Along with that comes the benefit of changing multiple locations of the same information in one quick step.

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?**

The product is not where it need to be. There are issues with commands and functions that do not behave as they should (as with any software). But it seems to take SW a long time to resolve issues, even when major. There is no way to keep a fully functional backup and there is no way to lock down drawings in an active project. Any entities on the drawing not containing metadata are lost if SWE crashed or you have to rebuild your drawing through the database for any reason.

**Recommendations to others considering SolidWorks Electrical Professional:**

Check out ALL aspects before buying - not just the dog and pony show. If you need back-ups, steer clear (for  now anyway), If revision control is a key, you must use their PDM (maybe it will work)

**What problems is SolidWorks Electrical Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped organize our drawings and the information contained in them - even with the pitfalls and occasional corrupt file. Across the board changes are easy.

What I find helpful is the tutorials at the beginning of the solidworks program that can help you understand the basics of the design

**What do you dislike about SolidWorks Electrical Professional?**

I dislike the fact that the rotations of the designing platform will not allow your to mix and connect properly

**What problems is SolidWorks Electrical Professional solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to create a way for a visional aid as well as help with our problem solving methodology
