We’ve been using SolarWinds Observability for a while now, and it’s been a total game-changer for how we manage and monitor our systems. Right from the start, we were impressed by how easy it was to set up and the clean, intuitive interface.

While SolarWinds Observability has been great overall, there are a couple of areas that could use improvement:

Pricing can get steep, especially when it comes to SNMP monitoring. The per-node cost adds up quickly if you're monitoring a large number of devices, which can make scaling more expensive than expected.

Some of the setup documentation feels outdated or incomplete—particularly for certain modules. We ran into a few snags during setup where the official guides didn’t match the current UI or available options, which slowed things down a bit. We had to reach out to Solarwinds a few times directly to see if we could get assistance, and in some instances it was hard to get help (Such as UCUM integration for connecting via AXL). The customization ability is phenomenal. There is great compatibility between a lot of different vendors and brands, and this is updated constantly. The feature i like most are the pie charts and maps, they are very easy to read and you can glance at them to get a lot of info on my data.
