Solar PV Simplified is specialist solar PV software for UK installers, providing the forms, calculations, Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and customer handover paperwork needed to help achieve and maintain MCS accreditation. Developed by Hollycroft Software and supporting solar PV installers for over 14 years, Solar PV Simplified is designed around the requirements of MCS, British Standards, the ECA PV Guide, RECC and HIES. It helps installers reduce administration time, improve accuracy and keep the documentation required for solar PV installations organised in one package. The software includes a comprehensive range of solar PV forms and installation documentation, including solar survey forms, customer quotations, PV module design sheets, PV array test results, installation checklists, PV system verification, customer handover certificates, G98 connection documentation, maintenance schedules and customer handover manuals. Solar PV Simplified also includes a Solar PV and Battery Storage Calculator. Installers can compare the estimated payback of solar PV systems with and without battery storage, calculate installations across up to three roofs, adjust electricity and Smart Export Guarantee rates, account for EV charging and immersion diverters, and model self-consumption and different household occupancy patterns. Battery calculations use MCS Electrical Energy Storage data based on MGD-003. For businesses working towards or maintaining MCS certification, the package includes Quality Assurance Manuals together with company records, registers and forms that can be used to build and maintain a QMS. These include calibration, staff training, approved supplier, non-conformity, complaints and subcontractor records. A built-in Solar Schematic Designer helps installers produce PV system schematics, while project information can be transferred between calculations, quotations and customer documentation. Solar PV Simplified runs on Windows with Microsoft Word and Excel and is aimed at solar PV installers, electrical contractors and renewable energy businesses looking for practical MCS solar PV software, solar PV calculation software, battery storage calculations, solar PV documentation, QMS software and solar PV installer forms in one integrated package.
