Adabas can store multiple data relationships in the same table, eliminating data redundancies found in RDBMS. You can easily access Adabas data with SQL and replicate to data lakes and BI platforms. Adabas delivers extremely high transaction performance—more than 1 million commands per second—with a fraction of the staff and resources needed for a comparable database management system. ## Software AG Adabas Reviews ### 1. Good for very specific usecases. Also it is compatible with COBOL,Z/OS and also with SQL which helps to get resources to work on it **What do you dislike about Software AG Adabas?** Some queries or operations may take considerably long times than a relational database like DB2 and although it is conditions with COBOL but Natural 4G is preferred language which is very niche skill to find. **What problems is Software AG Adabas solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using it as our database for health care systems during data of various things like pharmacy, claims, user data etc. We get a stable database that suits our needs ### 2. So in one read you can get a lot of data instead of reading from other tables. It can also be accessed in different ways. ### 5. It has a very efficient query language and allows you to work with files quickly and easily. It integrates perfectly with the NATURAL language of Software AG. In the latest versions, it adapts perfectly to a Linux system. **What do you dislike about Software AG Adabas?** Since it is not a relational database, it is quite difficult to get used to at first. Integration with external products is a bit costly. It requires a database administrator for more advanced management. Sometimes it gets "held" with a file and it is necessary to unlock it. **Recommendations to others considering Software AG Adabas:** It is not easy to get used to at first.
