  ### 1. Softplan lacks in manufactures products.  3D modeling is not as good as Chief Architect

**What do you like best about SoftPlan?**

The auto roof option makes is easier to modify and create desired roof plans.

**What do you dislike about SoftPlan?**

Our clients want to see the actual appliances, tile, etc that will be in their spaces and Softplan has a very limited selection.  Because of the lack in Manufactures, our cabinet designs and construction designs are in two different software's.

**What problems is SoftPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None that I can say.

**What do you like best about SoftPlan?**

I enjoy that there are hot keys that I can program to a multi-button mouse for speed in changing functions.



**What do you dislike about SoftPlan?**

I dislike the auto-snap. It does not always seem to benefit me when drawing.

Some of the auto-functions are not intuitive. I use line tool to draw elevations, floor framing plans, and sections. I believe softplan may do these, but they're not intuitive enough for me to use.

It would be better if you had a "draw floor plan" mode, then "foundation mode" then "floor framing mode" " then "roof framing mode" then "elevations mode then "sections". 

**Recommendations to others considering SoftPlan:**

Great for single family home designers that use wood construction, or someone that is looking for a CAD program and likes to use line tools as if you're sitting at the drawing board with pencil.

**What problems is SoftPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to store drawings and make revisions easily versus drawings on paper or velum.
