As a trained accountant, I love Softledger. It provides a clean, simple and effective way to record your accounting entries and keep them straight. It doesn't provide a lot of handholding like some other systems and that's fine with me. A lot of those systems get too creative in their approach and can be more confusing if you are familiar with double-entry accounting. SoftLedger strips away all the fluff and gives the accountant effective control over the books. I needed very little training to get up and running in the program. Ben Taylor, the CEO, and his support team are very responsive if you do have any questions and are working hard to make the program even more effective. One of the few forward-thinking companies to address the proper handling and booking of more advanced issues like crypto-assets, multiple currencies, and intercompany accounting. Highly recommended. More things I'd like to see rather than dislikes. It's still a young company and the build-out of some tools still needs to be done. Integrations with other systems are minimal although here again, if you know what you are doing, SoftLedger does provide webhooks so you can "roll your own." Likewise, more reports are very basic but you do have the ability to write custom reports. Finally, while the audit trail is comprehensive, more robust reconciliation tools would be appreciated.
