Snowflake serves 3 major purposes for me: 1. It is our BI data warehouse. We ingest all our data to Snowflake and present it in Looker (which integrates natively with snowflake) 2. It is our data lake. In addition to ingesting just about any data we can into Snowflake, we use DBT to munge all the data together to produce final tables that we then push out to our 3rd party SaaS apps (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot, Appcues, Customer.io, Zapier, Python/NodeJS services). 3. It serves as a low-volume transactional DB. Tools like Zapier, Pipedream, and Python/NodeJS services use Snowflake to push & pull transactional data where necessary. ### 4. As an analyst, it's key to be able to integrate Snowflake with Segment, Amplitude, and Sigma. Our team at Snowflake has been incredibly proactive and supportive with all of our internal users, from me as the analyst to the data engineers and data scientists.
