"Powerful Screen Capture with Seamless Editing"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I use Snagit for taking screenprints for content creation, and I find it very helpful to edit and capture the screenprints at the same time. I really like the feature that allows me to highlight or blur out parts of the screenprint, which is essential for my work in creating software simulations where we highlight tabs or buttons and hide sensitive data with the blur feature. Also, the initial setup of Snagit was very easy, and based on my experience, I'm definitely giving it a recommendation score of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

Scroll feature can be better. Sometimes when scrolling and taking screenprint the image gives a blank spaces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Practical Screenshot Tool with Quick Editing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I find Snagit practical and fast to use, which is a big plus for me. The fact that it can export video recordings directly as GIFs is really nice. I like that it's fast, and I can edit directly on screenshots and videos. The initial setup was very easy, which was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

Sometimes the editing section can run slowly or freeze, especially when editing videos. It might be related to my computer. Also, I use a shortcut to take a screenshot, but when I press that shortcut, if I last did a video recording, it continues from there, so I have to go back into the app and change the setting to take a screenshot. "Quick, Easy Captures and Edits That Streamline Sharing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

Ease of use. I can quickly capture something, edit it, and then use or send on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

The scroll function is sometime difficult to work with. You have improved it from the last version but it still freezes sometimes and doesn't capture as easily as other captures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snagit: Very User-Friendly with Lots of Useful Functions"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

Very user friendly. I also joined a learning session learned even a few more tidbits. It by far is easy to use and has a lot of functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

I wish I could pin the snagit capture on my screen in the same spot. ( maybe I can?) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Must-Have for Product Managers"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I love the ease of use Snagit offers for video clipping, prototyping, image editing, and screencapturing. The ability to capture both the whole screen and specific areas with ease is a big plus. I appreciate not needing to remember hot keys, as I can just hit the red button and get the image I need, which is already saved to the clipboard. The interface is something I'm very used to, and I find it hard to use free versions after experiencing Snagit. It's been a constant in my Product Manager career, and I've used it across multiple jobs. The icons and shapes are easy to edit, and I can have my favorites ready to go, making my tasks more efficient. The feature that allows stitching two videos together is a great improvement. Overall, it's fast, intuitive, and fits seamlessly into my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

Snagit crashes more than other apps that I have open all the time. I also wish I could remove audio from video after it's been recorded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Must-Have Tool for Efficient Documentation and Screen Capture"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I use Snagit daily for documentation, creating quick how‑to guides, capturing screenshots for clients, and recording videos that demonstrate bugs or workflows to development teams. One of my favorite features is the capture window and how customizable it is depending on what I need to show. The Text Grab tool is especially valuable—it saves me significant time when I need to extract text from software screens or PDFs where copying and pasting isn’t possible.

Snagit is extremely easy to implement; it installs quickly, and the interface is intuitive even for new users. I’ve been using it for several years across different roles and companies, and it has consistently fit into my workflow without any issues. Any time I want to learn a new feature, the built-in tutorials and support documentation make the process very straightforward. Overall, Snagit is one of the few tools I recommend without hesitation—it’s genuinely a 10/10 for productivity, reliability, and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

Honestly, I don’t have any major dislikes. The tool performs exactly as expected, and updates have consistently improved functionality without disrupting workflow. If anything, I sometimes wish there were even more editing features built directly into the app, but the existing feature set is more than sufficient for my needs. "Essential Tool for Efficient Guide Creation"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I like the blur feature to cover up PHI. I like the step capture because that's usually what I'm trying to convey, like 1st do this then do that. The Cut Out feature is something I have not found in other image software. Instead of cropping off something from the edge, you can cut something out in the middle of an image, which is great. The blur is a required and invaluable tool because I'm working in our live EHR and keeping PHI blocked for our how-to guides is necessary for HIPAA. The initial setup of Snagit was easy; there was no real setup necessary, it was just ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

I wish the blur tool had some AI in it and would learn what I blur out of every image because the Smart Redact only has the option to blur Addresses, Credit Card Numbers, Dates, Email Addresses, Faces, IP Addresses, Phone numbers, Social Security Numbers, & URLs. But what I need to blur is patient names, date of birth, visit/account number, medical record number so it would be great if I could customize the Smart Redact or if it could learn what I am always blurring. "Snagit Makes Screenshot Editing and Callouts Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I can edit the screenshots I take and add customized call-outs before sending them to anyone. I can also highlight a specific statement or piece of text. Snag it also includes templates I can use to compare two screenshots, or even several screenshots taken. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

There are no real downsides to Snagit. If I had to point out one issue, it would be the quality of some screenshots. When I capture an image to add to a PowerPoint document, the quality of a figure or table isn’t always as high as I’d like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Screen Captures with Time-Saving Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

I use Snagit mostly for screen captioning. I find it valuable because I can quickly capture the screen whenever I want and then edit in the Snagit editor for presentation and other uses. I like the quickness and easiness of usage. I also enjoy that Snagit captures all the captions automatically in a dedicated folder, which eliminates the time needed for saving the file. I've been using it for over 5 years because it is a very useful and powerful tool for my work, and found the initial setup very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

I'm not sure if it already has it, but auto copy of previous function for eliminating redundant work would be helpful. Like I tend to delete the background to paste into PowerPoint, so if that function is there, then it would make my work a bit easier. It would save my time for selecting fill function and clicking on the background to eliminate white or other color background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snagit: Easy Screenshots, Markups, and Powerful Training Recordings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Snagit?

Snagit is easy to use and much better than a snipping tool. You can use it for simple screen shots and to mark up screen shots to help viewers understand the screen shots. Snagit can also be used as a training tool, taping your movements on screen and using your audio to teach! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snagit?

I suppose if your company didn't have access to it then it would be unfortunate. There is a slight learning curve to using the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
