The capture dialog box can lock up for a second or two as you're selecting, and don't even *think* about trying to annotate a large image that you can import from elsewhere - the editor will just fall over and die. There are some misc. quirks with annotations, such as if I'm using the line tool, I can't continue the line from a previous line, because it moves that vertex instead of continuing to draw. There have been some persistent bugs such as Snagit forgetting about my keybinds, or just stopping working until I reboot the computer, though these have been resolved pretty quickly. **What problems is Snagit solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me quickly share, crop, and annotate content, as well as dealing with videos. Screenshots can be annotated with text, arrows, shapes, etc. Important points can be highlighted and redacted content can be blurred for privacy. Videos can be recorded from the screen with or without talking head webcam video overlays. Captures are saved and collated automatically in a dedicated library. Sharing of media can be easily done using integrated Screencast connectivity. **What do you dislike about Snagit?** Operationally, nothing to dislike. I've been using Snagit for more than a decade and it has always served me well. I've had it approved by IT for use in corporate hardware at every company I've worked in except one - supposedly "Snagit code is considered malicious and allows for multiple security issues". IT 'security team' did not give details nor indicate whether or not this was an older vulnerability that had been corrected, but allowed me to install and use Greenshot (not in the same league as far as functionality and ease of use) instead.
