As a technical writer, i highly recommend this tool for capturing images and screen recordings. It's really easy to use, as i use it daily for capturing the ui and creating the GIF files. Whenever I get stuck on the screen while capturing images, i report the issue and receive customer support quickly. If you have Snagit on your laptop and want to use it for capturing the screen, i believe you would not choose another product again. Sometimes it won't select the specific required window on Figma. Also, at least they should have given basic features for editing the captured screen recordings. I know this is an image editing tool, but while modifying the GIF, if i want to highlight the specific part the way we do it for images, we have to change it through Camtasia, then convert it to GIF. Snagit is very handy and easy to use. We can capture the whole screen or a small part of it or even a scrolling page. It allows editing easily post taking screenshot like adding arrows , text , shapes or even highlighting things. It also helps to record screen which can be used for evidences or tutorials. Snagit also stores all the captures in one place , so we can find them later easily. I personally use Snagit on daily basis for my project work evidences to be captured and edited. It also has helpful features like auto numbering steps, removing backgrounds etc. And in case of any help or support , the customer support feature is also very handy and quick in response. The ease of use. It is unambiguous and user friendly. I use it every single day in my work. There are so many tools at my disposal. I have convinced so many of my colleagues to use this in their work as well. The copy all feature makes this work in every program I use - Canva, Word, Adobe, everything. My main frustrations with Snagit stem from the administrative aspects rather than the software itself. The price seems somewhat steep, particularly when setting up several users for a team. License management could be more streamlined, as the process of activating everyone often takes longer than anticipated. SnagIt is like the snipping tool on steroids. It has all of the features you'd want in a screen capture tool, and even some you didn't know about. Snag-it is great for taking screenshots that I can edit. I use it to create training, job aids, and user guides. Sometimes I find the menu on the left-hand side to be a little cumbersome. In some situations, I will use the selector tool to add an element to the canvas, and I can't figure out how to 'turn that element off'. It just keeps adding the same thing wherever I click.
