"A Complete, Customizable Workflow Product that does Everything Needed."
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I like that everything is covered. There is a way to track and communicate the workflow, customize data to work for you, send it to reports that are updated at whatever interval I choose. I am working from a school district and expanding this out past our Information Systems Team to the rest of the district. 10 minutes into showing what it does and the product was sold to the rest of the team. One question was if it supported Excel. It does. I also use it for Google Sheets. It took time to set it up, but in the end it saved hundreds of hours. Instead of individually running reports for schools, I could pull the completed report and email it to them in one move. I know my data is up to date and accurate within the limits I have set. Now it does take a different way of thinking. It is more of a database system, in a spreadsheet view and that can be a challenge. Once the learning curve is crossed, and you are very supported through that process, it is much easier. The only performance issues I have had were my own because I didn't calculate the update times correctly. I have not used any AI/Intellegence feautres. I am trying to get a quote to increase licenses, but my contact information has changed. We did find the pricig to be very affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

I haven’t used the AI section yet, but it might have helped me get everything set up. The support person I worked with was experienced in business. I work for a school district, and I’m using it to pull together reports from multiple sources so I can save time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Turns Scattered Workflows Into a Clear, Trackable System"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

What I like most about Smartsheet is how it can take messy, scattered work and turn it into a clear, trackable system, without forcing everyone to completely change how they already work. It still feels familiar, like a spreadsheet, but it functions more like a full project-management platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Smartsheet can be frustrating at times because its spreadsheet-style layout gets cluttered quickly, and managing larger or more complex projects can start to feel clunky. Some of the more advanced features aren’t built in, so I often end up relying on additional configurations or add-ons to get it working the way I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, Fast, and Reliable—A Powerful All-in-One Project Workflow Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

The flexibility to control an entire project in one space. To be able to control back end spreadsheet style workflow with intergrated forms that I can send to end users is brilliant. To be able to populate entirely spreadsheets from external data this easily is a dream and to then be able to easily present that date in different formats. Further being able to automate actions sets it apart from other spreadsheet style products I have previously used. The product so far has been fast and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

The learning curve is steep, the university courses do help with this but figuring out all the things the program is capable of and how to best intergrate that into my work flow has taken a lot of time, largely due to just how much you can actually do with it. "Streamlines CRM and Project Management Seamlessly"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I like that with Smartsheet, I can share specific data with specific users, which is very helpful. It's also very user-friendly and quite easy to learn, which I really appreciate. The community blog creates a lot of use cases and helps a lot. Keeping all my data in one place with different views for different users is extraordinary. Having all the HR data and automation in Smartsheet for tasks like HR training is great. The ease of invoicing and sharing schedules with clients and subcontractors via Smartsheet is also very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

I would like to have a bit more flexibility on the editable side - meaning the colors we can use, the fonts, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smartsheet: Fast, Reliable, and Flexible Views for Organizing Data"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

We use it for our department calendar and for organizing massive amounts of data. It has been our go-to tool ever since I’ve been here, and it continues to be what we rely on day to day. Unlike other tools, Smartsheet has multiple views available for better organizing and categorization. We also have the ability to integrate data directly from our in-house publications into Smartsheet without a hitch with blazing fast performance and reliability. My team relies on Smartsheet because of its competitive pricing and excellent customer support if/when it's needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

In the ever-changing world of technology, with AI seeming to “take over,” I feel like Smartsheet could implement more artificial intelligence features to improve organization. I’d also like to see brand-new integrations that could better support its diverse consumer base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Project Management with Powerful Automation and Dashboards"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

The flexibility to manage projects at any scale is what stands out most. The spreadsheet-style interface makes it easy for teams to adopt quickly, while features like automated workflows, Gantt charts, and dashboards add powerful project management capability on top. Automation rules have cut down manual follow-ups significantly, and dashboards give stakeholders clear visibility without needing a separate reporting tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

The mobile app experience isn't as smooth as the desktop version, which makes on-the-go updates a bit inconvenient. Advanced formulas and automation setups also have a steep learning curve for new users, often requiring extra time or training to get the most out of them. Additionally, pricing at higher tiers can add up for larger teams needing more advanced features and user licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable Central Hub That Keeps Projects Organized and Easy to Track"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I feel like it helps consolidate all of our business into one central hub, which makes it much easier to keep track of our projects instead of having to jump all over the place. We are in the process of integrating it to other tools we used on our day to day basis, its been greate to keep our heavy workloads separate and not feel as overwhelm as before when we didnt had so its been reliable, i feel like its been worthy to get the program, also is easier for our trainees to understand the program i havent really use much out of the Artificial intelligence just yet but im pretty sure we can attach it to our new updated reports system the few time i have used it it its been pretty straight foward and easy to read Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

The only thing I dislike is that we can’t change the theme to a darker color. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smartsheet Makes Multi-Site Project Tracking and Collaboration Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I like how Smartsheet keeps the familiar spreadsheet feel of Excel while adding real-time collaboration, automated workflows, and built-in reporting. It’s been especially useful for tracking multi-site projects, managing dependencies, and sharing live status updates with clients and contractors, without the hassle of constant file exchanges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

From my perspective, the main drawbacks are that Smartsheet’s scheduling and resource tools aren’t as powerful as Primavera P6 for complex programs, and some advanced reporting or custom workflows need higher-tier plans or clever workarounds. For large multi-trade engineering projects, I sometimes end up combining it with Excel or other tools to get the detail I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Project Tracking, Steep Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I use Smartsheet for my work to show project progress, overall budget, man-days, and finance like invoicing schedules. What I like most is that it's easy to update. The project plan is clear, and I like how you can click to expand or minimize project phases. The color coded financial agenda is really helpful. I also switched from Excel because I wanted a dashboard feature and to be able to tag people in tasks, which Smartsheet gives me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

{"I don't like that Smartsheet doesn't auto-save; sometimes I close the tab without pressing the save button.","It's happened once or twice and I've learnt it the hard way to always press save.","I found it actually quite challenging to learn all the different features and what each tab leads to. It took me around 3-4 months to familiarize and be comfortable with Smartsheet."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible Tool That Enhances Project Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I find Smartsheet very powerful and flexible. It significantly improves how we manage projects and track our deliverables. It allows us to collaborate across teams and the interface is very user-friendly, resembling a spreadsheet. I like the automation part of it, the dashboards, the forms, and the reporting capabilities. The flexibility of Smartsheet is its biggest strength, allowing for customization in project management, PMO governance, task tracking, and business process automation. It's simple and easy to implement, with great integration capabilities that I really like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Certain administrative and reporting functions could be more intuitive. Sometimes it can be slow when handling large data. Certain advanced features like the hierarchy structuring and advanced filtering options could be improved, especially when building dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
