**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like the customization of Smartsheet. I think it's better than Excel in my opinion. I appreciate being able to view cell history to see who changed what. I just really like all of the automations that are involved and the forms that I can use. It has a lot more features than a normal Excel file or a PowerPoint or Google Form. It's like a one platform with many platforms in one. I feel like the initial setup was extremely easy, and I've been able to navigate it very well, using it in my everyday work.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think the only thing I wish I could improve about Smartsheet is having multiple tabs at the bottom like you do in Excel. If I wanted to have my open position report for this week on one tab, I would want the next tab to be for the following week's report. That's the only thing that I really feel could be improved for my specific usage.

I use Smartsheet to automate and streamline open position reports, hiring trackers, allowing me to share, make live updates, and simplify processes for my team.

I love Smartsheet for collaborating with my team and automating our processes! Really useful tool to manage business from project management with real time reporting to robust workflows such as ticketing systems.

The big obstacle now is that it lets you use enter hour durations but then rounds it up to a whole day! So on a Tech project that's fine until you get to the cutover when you need to work in hours.

What I like most about SmartSheet is its remarkable versatility.
It's not just a project management tool, it's an all-in-one solution that can adapt to various tasks and projects, making it highly efficient for both individuals and teams.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I find Smartsheet really useful, especially with how easy it is to access and collaborate among different people and teams. It's practical and easy to use, requiring no extensive knowledge to get started. The robust customer service and technicians are always there to help, and there's a lot of material online for guidance. The admin section on the portal makes it easier to set up and manage users, including adding and removing team members with access.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Sometimes in Smartsheet, based on a project or configuration, it can send a lot of emails, and sometimes that becomes a little bit repetitive or it's too much email and notification. But other than that, maybe it might be a configuration thing that we can change.

Smartsheet is practical for team collaboration, managing who does what in project layouts, and facilitates easy access for different teams to collaborate without needing much prior knowledge.

It's a priceless tool to organise yourself and your team, I like the features of the smart sheet. Very user friendly and a great tool to keep on top of things along with tracking their progress, updates from team mates, sending reminder alerts and everything else.

As a service business, keeping a track of all tasks across all departments was a challenging part, but with the use of Smartsheet, the business has provided extraordinary service to our clients and on time.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that its simple to navigate and you can create very basic views then change the view from grid to board for example. It's easy to structure documents into folders and workspaces, and I like how you can give specific admin rights and permissions to individuals and groups. The notification feature is great and I like that you can create forms on there. There is a lot of features available and can be used for a large number of use cases

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find it difficult to create dashboards and views from scratch. Unless you know how to create specific views using formula for example, or have excel experience it's quite hard to create the necessary views. Creating a dashboard from creating queries is complex and time consuming. I don't like that within the kanban view you can't click into an individual ticket and see it full page. It's hard to see a lot of info on the ticket and hard to see descriptions and comments at a quick glance. I would like to see more traceability and have the ability to create relationships between items, so that we can create views where we link initiatives to KPI's and requirements and even user stories. I believe a tool like Jira offers way more in terms of this type of functionality which I personally would benefit from. I don't  have any knowledge of integrations with smartsheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking projects is made easier  with smartsheet as we can collectively view and manage our in flight projects and backlog within teams, track projects using gantt charts and also manage the initiation of new projects using forms to allow  stakeholders to submit new project  requests.

I like the automations, the ability for many people to work in the same file at the same time, the cell history, and the conditional formatting.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Some features are still missing. For example, I’d like the ability to create hierarchies or dependencies between columns—so if column A contains X, then column B can only contain 1, 2, or 3. I’d also like the option to define custom data types for a cell beyond the standard date/time/number formats. For instance, it would be useful to enforce a code format made up of 2 letters followed by 6 numbers, and require that it always matches that pattern. Finally, having the ability to use colored headers would be a great addition.

It helps me highlight errors in my data more easily, and it also lets me work more efficiently with the team that completes the data.

It is not user friendly to train someone with only excel experience. The formulas can become complicated and does take a very experienced user quite a bit of time to train how to work through and troubleshoot working in smartsheets

Monitoring our coding team producivity across multiple clients. We used to use excel spreadsheets only and the pivot tables and getting data entered took an incredible amount of time. This has been time saving and so efficient

I like how easy it is to navigate and how much information you can insert in Smartsheet. In the company that I work for, there is a ton of data we have to manage. Using Smartsheet allows us to easily access all data across all departments seamlessly. Also, most of the team did not manage or understand Excel, so we wanted to move to something more simplistic and easy for the team to understand. The initial setup was very easy; our team was shown once how to navigate it and nobody struggles to use it. I have not struggled while using Smartsheet.

I like using Smartsheet because it helps me manage my projects and stay abreast of my jobs more effectively. It provides a day-to-day guide on what tasks I should be focusing on, what the risk areas are, and what opportunities to consider. I appreciate how it disorganizes and organizes at the same time, by laying out all the critical dates, action items, and dependent and precedent events to appropriately track a full life cycle development. Smartsheet is my go-to tool first thing in the morning and the last thing at night, keeping me up-to-date with what needs my attention and what to watch out for. I'm also looking forward to more robust capabilities from Smartsheet, especially with the integration of AI. Lastly, the initial setup of Smartsheet was very easy.

Smartsheet feels like an Excel-based platform and, although it's a bit better than Excel, it lacks the robustness of a tool like P6.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet for project management because it's easy to use and has great collaboration features, making project management fun. Adding attachments and comments on tasks is extremely useful, and being able to add formulas in the summary helps in calculating the number of tasks completed on time. Setting up Smartsheet was very easy and worked well out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I would say the licensing and user section can be confusing. They recently did a change where they changed the names of the types of users and I get confused. I don't need every member to have a license because they aren't creating Smartsheets, just assigned tasks. We ran into some issues where we wanted to hide certain folders but would need to upgrade our account in order to do that.

I use Smartsheet for project management. It solves collaborating issues with spreadsheets and serves as a source of truth for big initiatives. I like its easy use, collaboration features, attachments, comments capabilities, and helpful formulas for tracking task completion.

I use Smartsheet for project management, tracking our day-to-day activities, and conducting peer reviews. It's highly user-friendly, making it easy for anyone new to understand and use effectively. I appreciate the variety of options available, including radio buttons and a comment section, which are really good. The way data is structured is great. I think Smartsheet is a better version than Excel. I like that I can work on multiple projects simultaneously and view all my data on the left sidebar, making navigation simple. Smartsheet also allows a lot of exploration, which has been really helpful in our projects. It's a good tool for showing work to leadership and facilitating project collaboration among multiple people because it easily allows role division and is easily understandable, accepted, and implementable by everyone. I like how we are using it in our daily tasks.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think there could be a lot of new things can come up. I don't know if Smartsheet has a charts thing or a data analytic thing. I'm not sure if it is there. I haven't explored it yet because I didn't get a chance to. But if those things were also there, it would be a great help.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The fact that is easy to use, like a nice combination from Excel and Microsoft Project, plus the ability to share and assign tasks to others is really useful. I also like a lot the different options for visualization, it makes life easier compared to what we were using before. The fact we can integrate as well with other tools/software we use as company also makes it very attractive. I had no issues so far with size of files, so it handles well small and bigger files. The training given to team in the company so far has been enough for them to be able to train us and answer all our questions as users.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Some features, like versioning, it's not super intuitive and requires further training. I haven't tried yet AI integration, but I'm limited on that by company AI links.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SS is helping me keeping track of project timelines and enables me to share with the team, with different visualization options. At same time, saves me time as I can assign the tasks to the work packages leads, allowing them to go in and update the timelines on their own timing and without me be responsible to update everything, which is especially important with people in different timezones.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really like using Smartsheet for project management because it helps me organize tasks, timelines, and responsibilities in flexible, spreadsheet-like sheets that my teams can easily update and share. The collaboration through real-time updates, automatic workflows, file attachments, dashboards, and reporting is amazing. It's great that I can assign tasks to team members and Smartsheet sends them reminders until the task is completed, which saves me a lot of time. The time-saving feature is a big plus for me, as Smartsheet remembers tasks and reminders for me. I also love that it's not just limited to tasks and reminders; I've used it for surveys as well! I enjoy learning new functions, and the versatility of Smartsheet fascinates me.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

It takes a bit to learn all of the functions. You almost need to know what you are doing as opposed to just hopping on and choosing a function. Maybe options for different functions. For example, I may not know that something related to my project could be an option in Smartsheet, but if I see a list of functions, I would utilize it. Using it is easy. But creating is a bit difficult for me.

I like that Smartsheet is easy to customize, and the information it has is good. I also appreciate the templates it uses, as they make the customization and use of the system easy. We can change headers in the templates, add or remove columns if needed, or just choose not to show them to people. The template made things very much easier.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Area of improvement for me is under, like, time resolution. If we could get more specific or more in detail as in instead of just putting a date, being able to put a time as well. That way, I can see when things come in instead of just the day, and then I can track better, more in-depth information as to, like, how long things really take.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartsheet as an IT ticket tracking system to measure productivity and time to resolution. It helps us internally track tickets and assists with documentation.

I like the editing capabilities and how easy it is to move around the task assignment lines within the tables. I also appreciate the visualizations in the overall project dashboards, along with the configuration options for how data is displayed.

Trying to find the dashboard you want to use and edit can be a challenge. Specifically, the user interface is not always obvious how to use / is the most intuitive.

Smartsheets helps most with tracking various action items and initiatives across large projects with many moving parts. Helps with knowing what has been done so far and who is working on it and roughly when they aim to complete the task.

filtering is not user friendly, you should use something like excel filtering approach where you can see all options in the filter, write, find and filter. The other think I dont like are the timelines /Gantt chart , there is no option to create timelines graphicly, you need to introduce dates , dependencies , task name etc in sheet, it would be great to have create this in graphic way.

Project planning and Database of projects - Good that stakeholder can view the projects even without licence and being notified.

There are so many ways to organize ad campaigns in different formats. I love the ability to color code based on status or certain dates. All of the functionality is very helpful. It also allows us to integrate other documents that my company uses very easily.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I think it is difficult to mass-update sheets. For example, we have a master sheet that we copy for nearly all ad campaigns, but if we wanted to make a change across all of our sheets, we have to make that change manually to each workspace.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me tracking the life of an ad from the buy to when I am able to send the final product to a vendor or teammate. It allows me to evaluate how all campaigns are performing and whether we are getting materials on time from our internal teams.

Smartsheet is very helpful to manage Projects. We can create forms and sheets with smartsheet that helps us to track the progress in real time. Also, Multiple users can use the same sheet at the same time and make updates.

Premium version is only provide us complete access to the Smartsheet. Free version is very limited and doesn't have much access

Smartsheet is solving problems with Project visibility, Workflow automation and cross team collaboration.
It also provides notification to users whenever we tag them into comments or any columns in the sheet, which helps them to identify task that is pending on them

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like Smartsheet for its notifications because I don't have to remember everything or remind others about their tasks since it's automated. I also appreciate the dashboards for their visualization and easy access to crucial data and KPIs. The rules are another aspect I enjoy because they allow for automatic highlighting and segmentation.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The table view doesn't have all the features that the grid view does, which makes it hard to find a reason to switch to the table view. Also, when I get email notifications from Smartsheet, they're not in a user-friendly format since no pictures are downloaded automatically. Smartsheet is very easy to use and to get started.  Information can be shared to multiple end users, both internally and externally.  It is easy to set permissions such as admin, editor, or read-only.

The data is live and everyone can contribute simultaneously.  You can also create reports pre-filtered dashboards which give specific information from a larger sheet.

Sheet = database
Report = dashboard - filtered down only to the data and columns someone needs to see.

You can also set up automated emails to share a report or sheet in excel or pdf format to specific email addresses.  We find this helpful for giving daily updates to some of our suppliers without giving them access to the online smartsheet itself.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

As an admin, it is difficult to see an overview of all the sheets and reports created under a company.  The admins only see sheets and reports that they have created, or which have been shared with them.

Once I learned how to upload submittals and fill in the remaining information, I realized anyone could do it, and I've since taught others how to use it in about ten minutes. With Smartsheet, everything can be done on one page without having to dive deep into the software, unlike other programs where you need to hit many buttons and often can't remember the steps. I also think the way you can tag certain people, organize submittals, and filter pages to find specific deliverables or submissions is really helpful. It's much easier when our clients can access the same sheet and tag who on their team will review submittals, making it a lot smoother than other applications I've used. I appreciate how seamless and easy the integration is when I hyperlink documents from ACC into Smartsheet, which helps keep everything organized.

So when something is approved by the client in Smartsheet, it shows a green icon. It would be helpful if all approved items were moved to an approved page. **What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it combines power with simplicity: its spreadsheet-style layout makes it very easy to use, even for non-technical users, and implementation is quick since existing Excel or Google Sheets files can be imported right away. The platform is used frequently because it supports everyday task tracking as well as full project management, which keeps teams working in one place. It offers a strong number of features like automation, dashboards, reporting, and Gantt charts without feeling overwhelming. Integration with tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira is smooth, helping teams avoid data silos. On top of that, customer support, documentation, and community resources make it easier to solve issues and learn the system efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that while it’s powerful, it can start to feel complex as projects grow, especially with advanced features like formulas, automations, and cross-sheet references, which may require extra learning. The interface, though familiar, can become cluttered with large datasets, making navigation slower. Some reporting and dashboard customizations feel less flexible compared to dedicated BI tools.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet solves the problem of scattered work and lack of visibility by bringing project tracking, task management, reporting, and collaboration into one centralized platform. Instead of juggling spreadsheets, emails, and multiple tools, everything lives in structured sheets and dashboards, which improves organization and accountability. It helps standardize processes through templates and automation, reducing manual follow-ups and errors. Real-time updates and shared views make it easier for teams and stakeholders to stay aligned on progress, deadlines, and priorities. As a result, work gets done faster, communication is clearer, and decision-making improves because all the key information is easy to access in one place.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I’ve been using Smartsheet for 10 years, and I’ve also had the opportunity to work with other PM platforms. I still prefer Smartsheet because it’s easy to create NPD timelines and reports, and it makes sharing those reports with my teammates straightforward for easier access.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Since I’ve used other PM platforms such as Monday, Wrike, Asana, etc., I generally prefer the look and feel of their user interfaces over Smartsheet’s, especially Monday’s. It comes across as more friendly and approachable. That said, I still prefer Smartsheet for its functionality, so when my clients are deciding between platforms, I usually recommend Smartsheet.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet helps solve visibility problems. Some clients have shared that, in the past, they didn’t have clear visibility into their NPD projects. Once each project is loaded into the platform and weekly reports are sent to team members, they gain full visibility into what’s happening.
