What do you like best?

Regular releases with features that you actually want show that they listen to their customers and are in-tune with what's happening in the recruiting industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The current permission settings for employees makes it difficult to allow team members full functionality to do scorecards in the system as it would give them too much access to information on the candidate profile. However, I have seen updates on their online community that they will be addressing that in an upcoming release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We wanted an easy to use solution that our hiring managers would adopt, the recruiting team would want to use, and that provided a seamless candidate experience (no duplicate entry or required logins). SmartRecruiters has given us all of those things. I'm also excited about their new offerings of a CRM tool and an automation tool that we plan on adding next year. What do you like best?

I have used SmartRecruiters to apply on genuine jobs posts. I can track how far i have made throughout the complete hiring pipeline . I can see the interview schedules, ratings, conversations happened between applicant and recruiter . It allows job seeker to send message directly to recruiters. I have used this platform to refer a friend for a Job. It has got nice UI interface for making referral. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing as such i found so far to dislike but one feature I would like to suggest is integration of online test / virtual interviews . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I like the fact that smart recruiters help manage and put forward data in a single view dashboard, along with enabling recruiters to manage data and a pool of potential candidates in an organized manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't dislike anything about SM. Helps me organize my information, and I am very happy with the features as of now. I dislike that the person being interviewed isn't being given a consolidated score basis the multiple feedbacks they receive within the system. A feedback mechanism should be able to show us the probability of a person succeeding at an interview and the likelihood of them being hired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the fact that smart recruiters help manage and put forward data in a single view dashboard, along with enabling recruiters to manage data and a pool of potential candidates in an organized manner. Apart from that it helps keep a track of the multiple candidates from different sources that are applying for the job. I particularly also like the fact that it can bifurcate profiles basis source of application and can provide recommendations upon the same to drive further efforts as well.

I think its a one stop solution for all recruiters becuase it helps from A-Z - right from maintaining a repositary, profile of the user, social profile, interview scheduling, personal details of the interviewee and it comes across as a prefoessional system even for the candidate applying to the company. I had referred one of my colleague and the seamlessness in tracking the application status and the User Interface is really great. There is no need to ask the recruiter for the status of the application. The jobs shown also gives us an international exposure. If its is an internal refer the Bold Caption of I am Interested is also fascinating. Benefits are the application status and suggested job code related to the applied one. What do you like best?

Differently from other recruiting software I used in the past, SmartRecruiters is really easy to use: just point and click.

Also, the look and field is very attractive and makes the environment very friendly.

It even has a internal emai-like system that is very interesting for following the status of the applications.

SmartRecruiters allows to save the searches, which are useful for keeping an eye on what is the company doing, differentiating from internal and external positions.

What do you dislike?

It is a very advanced and easy to use software; the only thing SmartRecruiters do not let me to do is that, after a referral is done, it does not show information of the referral such as the recommendation letter written for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

External and internal job positions at my current company: it is the de facto tool for applying to jobs and also for doing referrals inside Adevinta Spain. Also, it keeps track of the status of the applicant. The important thing is that everything is seamless, so it is easy to use for a very important function: recruiting. What do you like best?

We have been doing recruitment processing manually for a long time, and I know the pain behind it. Having a specialized tool that you can configure to match your recruitment processes is awesome. That said, the best feature I like in the tool is the fact that all major steps from creating the vacancy, getting approval from the leadership to actual hiring. What do you dislike?

Most of the time we have multiple recruitments on going for different and similar job opportunities. If I as the "Hiring Manager" come across a good candidate during the interview steps for the vacancy I'm hiring for, but realize he does not fit mine, but at the same time would like to recommend him to another hiring manager in a different recruitment, I hit a block in SmartRecruiters. If you are playing the "Recruiter" role I believe you can, I'm not really sure how the role based security works here! but it's something I can look past :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It connects you to a pool of candidates easily, has all the needed functions for the full recruitment process, and the preset templates are so helpful to make your job quicker and make sure that you share a reply for every candidate. Love the fact that it links directly to your email! The notes section is really helpful especially that you are able to right notes for yourself, while reviewing applications you tend to forget what makes the candidate special. The selection menus are awesome as they help in finding valid reasons for refusing or accepting candidates' Love the fact that you could use between friendly and formal. What do you dislike?

The fact that when you do setup a meeting, you don't have control to add a Video link invite. I would love to have more flexibility once it reaches to that phase as I find the interviewing support not necessary or needed. One tiny problem with the preset templated for emails is that the 'company name' field will show as Smartrecruiters vs. the name of the our agency which makes the letter confusing, I had to manually type it every time. I wish you could see the full candidate list when you reviewing a candidate profile so you can easily browse and switch between different candidates. There is no navigation bar for moving back from a candidate profile to the full list, or I couldn't find the function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Find & recruit Creative Talent based in Lebanon... It so beneficial in filtering the profiles and pushing people to have complete profiles as they will be scored accordingly. What do you like best?

Centralised candidate assessment and communication tools, native and friendly candidate and HR user experience throughout the platform, simple yet effective team collaboration features, multi-role assignment and facilitated employee access in the platform.

Emails sent to candidates are highly customisable and more personal, as the HR user is shown as the sender of the email (instead of a noreply address). Assessments are consolidated in the platform and can be deployed quickly, and the pricing is at negotiated lower rates.

When advertising on LinkedIn, application rates increase due to the Easy apply feature that is automatically added based on SmartRecruiters integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some features aren't modifiable by design (e.g. Deletion of inactive users), only rejection emails can be scheduled beforehand, resume parsing is faulting at times, the provided job portal is too simplistic and doesn't enable further customisation.

Streamlined and united candidate tracking is now possible, together with a more efficient way of integrating the HR team’s comments and notes. Candidate engagement is primary for us, so an ATS easy to use and straightforward with the applications helps us reduce information collection times in comparison to SmartRecruiters competitors with lengthy applications and design-lacking interfaces. What do you dislike?

No api support in the free version. No admin view where I can see all the interviews scheduled company wide. Also even if I tagged one or two colleagues in the comment, I still want to make it visible to admins. This is not possible. Overall activity view is missing, like colleague A marked x candidate shortlisted, colleague B scheduled interview for y candidate. At an admin level atleast i would like to view the activity and being able to filter these based on colleague name or activity type. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

All features are set to make recruiter happy. The SmartRecruiter help recruiter to simplify their job mostly and can track back candidates easily.

Also the best thing of SR is automatically read info from candidates, which help recruiter save a lot of time for key-in.

We can also set email, interview, tests, discussion, everything is ready there to help.

What do you like best?

The automatic CV scanner saves tons of time. I like the GDPR compatibility, the status updates, the inmail, and the review section as well. The scoreboards make reviewing very effective! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It was developed for candidates coming from the SmartRecruiters default career page or from an ad advertised through SR When I upload a CV manually, sometimes it does weird things with the statuses. GDPR consent cannot be set manually for candidates that have given it during an interview, you have to ask for it again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I do recommend to read the GDPR informatives and the FAQ on the website before using. You'll find that SR becomes a data processor, and you'll need a contract. Fortunately, you'll find a pre-signed contract you can use and send in to SR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I, honestly, can't really think of a whole lot I like about SmartRecruiters. It seems that the recruitment marketing aspect of the platform is pretty neat, but that is only if you actually use that function. I guess (?) the customizability of the platform, but I think that is what ultimately leads to this platform's downfall — trying to do a lot of things well which is not executed super great. What do you dislike?

There are too many downfalls to this platform to list: Is it that every time I review a resume in a .doc or .docx filetype it downloads to my computer or when a review a pdf it opens in another tab as opposed to just being embedded in the platform? Is it the terrible inbox feature that makes it so difficult to actually respond to candidates from my email? There are just too many downfalls to choose from, and the thing is, each one kills recruiter productivity in its own way.

Our team has only been on the platform for 4-5 months, and I highly doubt we will be sticking with the platform after our initial year contract. I tried to give it a chance and thought it — initially — was just the change in system. If I had the choice, I'd end the contract now to go to one of the more recognized leaders in the space. What do you like best?

I really like the Smart Recruiter platform integrations with Outlook, LinkedIn Recruiter, Scheduling, ratings, etc. This allows everyone to see all of your notes, emails, ratings, interview schedules (assuming they have permission for those accesses). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the layout is confusing compared to others still fairly easy to use. Sometimes the single sign on for a new manager doesn't flow but may be a challenge on our companies end, rather than SR. Our company is still playing with all of the features like building the filters for who can see what as far as interview scores, reviews, etc, but if we used the full functionality or customized it more, that may be better. Solving for the need to go to and from email thread with managers, does a great job of keeping all decisions and communication in one place. This is particularly helpful for compliance and data privacy as well as efficiency. Everything is under one roof. What do you like best?

I like how its easy to access and I have always had luck getting a job through it as well. Plus points as we can constantly track the application process as well as have all the emails at a single place. What do you dislike?

The GUI is not very nice. It can be developed to be more user friendly. It can be more easier by incorporating a easy sharable button for jobs and also prompt to save details for future use. There are no problems as such. I have realized that the benefit is to have everything in one place and track my application. What do you like best?

The ability to communicate directly with candidates and have them be able to supply additional documentation that is stored in their profile. I also love that it emails me the additional documentation! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So far I have not found a downside though I would say an improvement would be allowing other members to be able to login and tag their resumes but not be able to see other resumes in the portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
