There are a number of things that are not part of the base package, Flex Time being one of them as well as the ability to add icons to the SmartPass IDs for students. Helping you focus more on instruction and less on distraction is our goal. Thanks for bringing up our Flex feature! This feature took an incredible amount of work. Instead of making SmartPass more expensive, we carved it up into packages so schools can choose which features they want based on the vale we deliver. There are 3 steps to type before you can send a student. If we have a large amount of students to enter typing too fast will boot you out and the steps must be repeated. Being penalized for typing too fast is a new one for me. We'll try to replicate the issue and correct it in our lab. 3. We have seen schools create a late bus destination which should help reduce the number of late passes to multiple disparate destinations. Thank you for taking the time to review SmartPass! I appreciate the feedback around passes not getting closed! Two things that might help with that: 1. Overtime Pass Limits might help. I've linked our support article around this at the bottom of my comment. 2. This can be mitigated with setting the right expectations for students and teachers. Some schools ask students to show teachers their ended passes when the student gets to their destination. Or if they are returning to their classroom, they need to leave their device open as a reminder to end the pass. I hope that helps!
