The customer support has been great, answering questions and providing great resources. As a MTSS Tier 1 coach, we frequently use real time data into the engagement and movement of our students during class. Our teachers have been able to use data from student passes to have constructive conversations about the amount of in class engagement with their students. Our teachers have shared the ease of use with sharing in and out time in the classroom with parents when communicating about their students progress. Our admin team has been able to use the data to help spot trends on student movement, allowing us to relocate hallway supports as necessary. We have also used the data to help with interventions for students who were using too many bathroom/drink passes each day. We have seen a reduction as a result of using the data to support our intervention. Our hall monitors and security, are able to report students who shouldn't be in the halls, allowing meaningful behavioral conversations between students and administrators. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** I do not have any dislikes, because they are continually updating and improving their platform to support the needs of schools and students. If I were to have a wish, it would be that if the data would integrate into our SIS or other dashboards that would allow us to provide even more information from the whole child. **What problems is SmartPass solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helping support our tier 1 need for a pass system for our students to use during class periods. The data we get from SmartPass helps us to make some decisions monthly. It's easy to use, easy to manage, and we have seen a huge improvement around keeping kids in the classroom and not in the halls during class time. The customer support is excellent! With this year's addition of the Bell Schedules, that has added another level of positives for us with the ease at which students and staff can create a pass - loving the addition! We also appreciate the Emergency feature it has for drills and actual events. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** The reports feature is very limited. We have developed our own spreadsheet to pull the data and work it so we get it to look in a way that helps us make decisions. **What problems is SmartPass solving and how is that benefiting you?** Students were outside of class too much and too often. Our teachers are able to see who is out in the halls, monitor how frequently students are using the restroom or being out of class, and prevent encounters for students attempting to meet up. Admin are able to see records of how many minutes and how frequently students are out of class and limit passes for those taking advantage. It is overall a wonderful subscription that we use daily. It was very easy to integrate into our existing systems because of the Clever integration. Jennifer Porter has been fabulous for customer support and helped us figure out how to easily integrate a kiosk system for our teachers. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** I would like to have separate limits for kinds of passes. The data of how many instructional minutes students are missing has been eye opening for both teachers and parents. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** We had some difficulty in getting accounts set up for subs but did get that worked out eventually. **What problems is SmartPass solving and how is that benefiting you?** Smart Pass has allowed us to limit the amount of times that students who seem to get into trouble together are actually out of class at the same time. It has allowed us to be able to track where students should actually be when they are out of class. I like the ability to limit number of passes and that you can temporarily close down locations. It was super easy to roll out and has an intuitive UI. We use it every day and the few times we've had a question or issue, the customer support is phenomenal. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** The only issue I have currently is I would like to make a note mandatory when requesting to go to certain places. **What problems is SmartPass solving and how is that benefiting you?** Too many kids hanging out in the bathrooms or coming to the office just to kill time. Creating a pass for future use has made meetings and tutoring sessions a breeze. The encounter prevention feature has been wonderful for student safety. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** It was supposed to integrate with our attendance system, but that feature has not been rolled out yet... That has been disappointing. We use SmartPass every day and adding to our school program has been incredible. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** Some of the reporting features could be more in-depth. Before with paper passes there was no way to track this. SmartPass is very quick and user friendly. Kids catch on quickly because it's technology and the adults in the building find it easy to use and learn. **What do you dislike about SmartPass?** The only downside to SmartPass currently is that they can't develop new things fast enough. They have been working to get things done quickly but it takes time to get it right. **What problems is SmartPass solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mointoring the hallways, and safety are the two biggest things. In the case where a student does not have a device handy, this feature will automatically end a pass after the timeframe you set.
