For example, in the context of internet applications, the term 'Web' was translated as 'spider web' in various languages. SPA (single page application) was translated as 'thermal hotel'. The platform is intuitive, which means when new linguists join the team, there's no need for extensive training sessions. Compared to other CAT tools, Smartling stands out for me. What I like about Smartling is the ability to make everything very customizable, which is not something that often happens with tools in general, so the ability to truly tailor the tool to the company's needs is very interesting. It is a very positive experience because it helps us define workflows that are much simpler and at the same time scalable, thus potentially complex, while keeping track of the status of each individual step, the quantities, and the volumes. Sometimes it is a bit complicated to obtain data, even if it seems they have understood the need to improve this aspect and are working on it, there might be some refinements at the reporting level.
