"Scaling AI Cold Outreach with SmartLead"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

Smartlead has been a key part of how we run AI-powered cold outreach campaigns. It’s given us the flexibility to scale personalized outreach while keeping deliverability strong across multiple inboxes.

What stands out most is how well it supports modern AI-driven workflows, managing large volumes, and still keeping messages relevant and targeted. It’s made it much easier for us to combine AI-generated personalization with consistent sending infrastructure.

The platform is also very reliable and easy to work with day-to-day, which matters a lot when you’re running ongoing campaigns at scale. On top of that, support has been responsive whenever we needed help or clarification.

Overall, Smartlead has become one of the core tools in our AI cold outreach system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

We sometimes experience sending failed errors. The latest one was due to the SmartSender mailbox, but it was resolved right away.

It would be helpful if there were an undo or unsend button, similar to Gmail where you can still unsend an email within a few seconds after sending. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Email Campaigns with Room for Support Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I really like Smartlead's automatic warm-up tool because it helps keep our emails out of the spam folder. It's great that we can connect as many email accounts as we want, which is very convenient. The master inbox is also very helpful as it allows us to see all of our replies in one place. Additionally, setting up email campaigns is very fast, which I find really efficient. The initial setup of Smartlead was easy, which made the transition smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Priya Abraham of Smartlead

Thanks for the honest feedback! We actually do have an MCP server - here's the setup guide: https://helpcenter.smartlead.ai/en/articles/300-smartlead-mcp-server

We also have a CLI that might work well for your use case - it wraps the Smartlead API for use in terminals, scripts, and CI/CD pipelines. You can pipe output to spreadsheets, schedule exports with cron, or plug it into existing scripts. It works alongside the MCP: the MCP handles AI-driven workflows, the CLI handles scripting and automation.

npm install -g @smartlead/cli

"Smartlead Makes Scaling Cold Email Campaigns Easy and Deliverable"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I mainly use Smartlead to run cold email campaigns at scale without constantly worrying about deliverability. It lets me manage multiple inboxes, warm them up automatically, and helps keep my emails landing in the primary inbox instead of spam. I also use it to build sequences and track replies, which makes it easier to see what’s working and where I need to tweak things.

What I like most is that it doesn’t feel overly complicated once you get the hang of it. It just does its job quietly in the background while I focus on writing better outreach and targeting the right people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

One thing that can get a bit frustrating is the UI. It’s not bad, but sometimes it feels slightly cluttered, especially when you’re managing multiple campaigns or inboxes at once. You have to click around a bit more than you’d expect to find certain settings.

Also, analytics could be clearer. The data is there, but it’s not always presented in the most intuitive way, so you end up exporting or double-checking things manually. And once in a while, there are small bugs or delays that break your flow, which can be annoying when you’re in the middle of setting up campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful for scaling cold email, but deliverability and support need work"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

The unlimited email accounts and unlimited warmup are the biggest wins for me - I can scale cold outreach without worrying about per-inbox costs. The automated warmup keeps deliverability healthy, the master inbox makes it easy to manage all my replies in one place, and the campaign setup with A/Z testing and conditional sequences is genuinely powerful. Once it's dialed in, it more or less runs itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

My two biggest frustrations are deliverability and support. Our sending domains/IPs get blacklisted more often than I'd like, which forces us to pause campaigns, swap inboxes and rebuild reputation - it's disruptive and eats into results. When that happens, support is the weak spot: responses are slow and often generic, so it takes far too long to actually resolve blacklisting issues. Faster, more knowledgeable support and better proactive blacklist monitoring would make a huge difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Supercharged Cold Email with Smartlead's Intuitive AI Tools"
5/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I appreciate Smartlead for its ease of use and the amazing new AI tools. It's super easy to train new team members on the system, and our whole team can easily work with it. The AI tools ensure that our campaigns are running correctly and all mailboxes are set up properly. This makes Smartlead a strong functioning campaign machine. Also, setting it up was super easy. What do you dislike about Smartlead?

The layout to begin with can seem complicated. It's not necessarily the easiest to find out what you're looking for, its layout could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Email Outreach Tool with Room for Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I really find the features of Smartlead useful, especially the master inbox and the ability to rotate multiple email accounts at once. This really helps with running multiple and parallel campaigns. The master inbox lets me see all the responses from hundreds, even thousands, of email accounts and respond from one place, which saves a lot of time. Setting up Smartlead is dead easy too; you just sign up, set a password, and you're good to go. The quick start guide is also a great help. I think all these features make Smartlead an important tool in our stack for email marketing outreach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

I would say reducing the price a little bit. Definitely helps people on the listed team of like me. But, yeah, pricing could be. And, of course, in the age of AI, the entire software could be improved and if you ask me specifically, if you can make the platform ready to use without not completely without, but at least interaction with humans. Like, an entire part of the work should be by, automation and AI. With accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Email Campaigns with Powerful Data Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I like how easy Smartlead is to use while providing complex features needed for email campaigns. I appreciate that it keeps everything optimized for my cold email campaigns by managing tasks like domain, deliverability, and tracking all in one place. Smartlead's MCP connected to Claude is the best aspect. It allows me to deep dive into all my campaign stats and make data-backed decisions. This helps me analyze campaign variants, subject lines, and deliverability to make strategic decisions like whether to kill, scale, or fix a campaign. This has benefited my work by bringing in deals and generating more pipeline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

I think the credit limit could be improved. Compared to the competitors these days, it is not favorable to have 30,000 leads in their 2nd tier plan when I can switch to a competitor and get more for a cheaper price. Therefore, it makes me lose the data that I need when I run out of credits which would be helpful for future plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Cold Outreach with Some Scalability Challenges"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Smartlead?

I use SmartLead to send cold outbound campaigns at scale with good deliverability. I appreciate its solid infrastructure, which focuses on deliverability through features like inbox rotation, Spintax, email warm-up, smart servers, and ESP matching. These components enhance deliverability, crucial for cold campaigns. The infrastructure is top-notch, ensuring efficient email strategies. Additionally, SmartLead's robust API is valuable for building integrations and managing actions. I find it easy to set up, especially if you're familiar with the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartlead?

The native MCP server for SmartLead could use improvements; it's not perfect. Also, SmartLead's native interface can be very time-consuming to use when dealing with a serious volume of emails. It's not ideal for setting up massive campaigns or handling a large number of campaigns at once. The setup can be difficult and time-consuming if you're new to cold outbound marketing, with a lot of infrastructure elements involved and a big learning curve.
