**What do you like best about SmartFTP?**

The application initially appears to have a very beautiful, usable and understandable operating environment. It provides many interface features and options as to how (FTPS/cloud options) and when files will be exchanged. For home users or very small businesses it is a very good solution.

**What do you dislike about SmartFTP?**

If you want to use scheduled tasks, designing, entering and reviewing workflows is completely inefficient. It seems as if there is no engineer on the development team, and even though the current version is at 10 and the company has been developing the app for 10 years, there seems to be a huge accumulation of technical debt. It's hard to believe that basic features such as simple e-mail notification of when a file is actually uploaded or downloaded from a remote server are not provided. In corporate environments with dozens of connections and hundreds of file exchange streams it is impossible to have control over what you receive and what you send. The logging feature that is charged extra, in the end is almost useless for audits, while to be able to see what file exchanges took place you have to create a new application. The division into Professional/Ultimate/Enterprise is misleading. Home/Pro would be more clear about the features and support it provides.
