We have been using the product for over a decade at work and it is my goto product instead of Visio. **What do you dislike about SmartDraw?** One of my least and only favorite things is that the templates often come preloaded with data so I have to clear that data first. I would like to see templates that have the flow, shape, connections, etc, but have no text in the boxes. Or, perhaps have a quick way of replacing all the text like PowerPoint does when using SmartArt. Many of these things should be on the same tab so you don't have to switch back and forth constantly. The adding a shape and moving it forward and back would be more efficient if those two options were on the same tab **Recommendations to others considering SmartDraw:** SmartDraw is easy to learn how to use and has a lot of components that would be useful in several different environments **What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were able to create a map that included what was before in more than 10 different files, all in separate, scaled layers. Also, the ctrl + d to "duplicate" was an amazing benefit instead of copy and paste. The dimensions being visible or not is also extremely helpful in getting things to size. ### 16. Sometimes I can't find the right template for how I use the product. This product does not copy others, so its features are not in the same place as other products. You may need to look for components as they are now in a new home in the software. We relied on software built for technically knowledgeable persons in the past, and time was not an issue. I know it is helpful sometimes (so I can be more precise), but I wish I could toggle that option back and forth. **What problems is SmartDraw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mostly use SmartDraw to plan layouts of desks and other office furniture for new offices. I make a few different layouts and let the people in the office choose the one they like best.
