"SmartDollar Is a Hit—Great Features and an Excellent Account Team"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartDollar?

SmartDollar provides a lot of great features to offer our employees. This time of year, the SmartTax service has been a great hit, allowing employees to complete their taxes for free. I first-hand used it and it was a great experience. My account team is great to work with, and we have a great partnership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

This is nothing against SmartDollar, but something internally we are working on is getting more engagement out of the benefit. We have communication strategies for 2026 in place to help this. I believe more marketing / reach outs can be done to reach the employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SmartDollar?

The content is great and point system is helpful. All the tools are great benefits for the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

I thought it would nudge the team to make progress on their learning and use of the program more than it does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paula of SmartDollar

Hi John, great feedback! SmartDollar does send automated welcome emails and periodic learning nudges, but we know employers often want to do more. Your relationship [PS1.1]manager can help you set up employer-driven communications, including email templates and an entire resource center of promotional materials designed to engage your people. A little intentional awareness goes a long way, and we're here to help you build that cadence.

"SmartDollar Makes Budgeting Easy with Clear, Step-by-Step Guidance"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartDollar?

SmartDollar is a wonderful product that is easy to use. The best part is SmartDollar breaks things down in easily understood steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

There isn't anything I dislike about SmartDollar, but if I had anything to add, it would be that people can alter the plan to fit them. If they aren't comfortable with certain steps, like stopping their 401k contributions, they don't have to. Just letting them know they can alter the plan to work for them, it just may take longer to accomplish their goals, may attract some people to participate that wouldn't have otherwise. What do you like best about SmartDollar?

I like the tools that are available such as the mortgage calculator and net worth calculator, as well as the large repository of financial wellness videos. The Baby Step progress feature allows you to track your goals toward achieving all Baby Steps in one consolidated place and it is connected to Every Dollar, which makes it much easier to track expenses and see your finances at a high level. I also appreciate that the mortgage calculator allows you to estimate just how much home you can afford while the net worth calculator gives you a good sense of where you are overall in your financial journey. The initial setup was VERY easy, and the SmartDollar team made the launch smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SmartDollar is easy to implement and simple for employees to navigate. The content is practical, step-by-step, and approachable, which makes financial wellness feel achievable instead of overwhelming. From an admin perspective, the support team is responsive and proactive, and they make the partnership feel smooth and well supported. It has been a valuable addition to our overall benefits offering.

From a partnership standpoint, Blake Ball has been an outstanding relationship manager. He has been responsive, supportive, and proactive in helping us maximize the value of the program. His communication and follow through have made the experience seamless and positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

customization or reporting insights would be helpful for tracking long-term impact, but overall the platform delivers strong value for what it’s designed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paula of SmartDollar

Hi Alina, thank you for this feedback! The employer dashboard does include aggregated engagement metrics, like active users, Baby Step progress, and usage trends, that can help you demonstrate program impact over time. If there are specific data points you're not finding, share those with your relationship manager. We're actively developing and improving our reporting capabilities, and customer input directly shapes our roadmap. Thanks for taking the time to share this with us!

"Improves Employee Financial Health—and Strengthens the Company"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartDollar?

From an employer point of view:

Simply put, when we provide to our employees a FREE tool that can improve their financial health, the employees are then less likely to view the company's payroll department as their only go-to solution to financial health and wealth.

Smart Dollar will walk you step by step through the initial implementation, and adding new employees is super easy. Even after the initial implementation is complete, Smart Dollar continues to assists, to include automated emails to the employees, lots of reminders, printable flyers and worksheets, and even a helpful calendar with training ideas so you you don't have to wing it - and much more! With tons of videos and handouts, the online platform is a perfect tool to use during weekly team meetings.

Our Account Manager, Russ Petit has done a FABULOUS job at making it easier for us to stay engaged with our employees! Our weekly team meetings are held at 7am, making it impossible for a live presentation, but Russ was able to record an entire presentation for us to present at a meeting - this ensured that our employees were made aware of all the benefits we may have neglected to mention.

Bottom line, financially healthy employees are happy employees; by investing in the financial health of our employees, it truly is an investment into the financial health of our entire company, which also directly impacts our employees and their families! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

This isn't really a dislike of SmartDollar but the program does take effort. In order for the program to actually work, employers really need to put effort into intentionally highlighting the worth of the program to their employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SmartDollar is transformative!"
5/5
What do you like best about SmartDollar?

As a business owner, I see this as an excellent benefit to offer staff. When employees have strong financial management skills, they can spend less time worrying about their personal finances and more time focusing on the company’s success. In turn, that focus supports the business while also helping them work toward their own financial success. Providing the tools for staff to achieve this is another way our firm can support staff outside of work, which is very important to us as a firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

Some staff have expressed concerns about sharing perosnal, financial informaiton on the interenet, despite being assured of the security of the data. This has been a minor hurdle and has resulted in a small number of staff not participating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paula of SmartDollar

Thank you for sharing this, and we’re glad your staff are asking the important questions! But they can rest assured. SmartDollar is SOC 2 compliant, which means that our security practices are independently audited and verified. Your staffers’ financial data is never shared or visible to employers. If you’d like, we can also provide you with employee-facing materials that go over the privacy and security practices of the program. Please reach out to our customer success team at smartdollar.help@ramseysolutions.com and we’ll get you set up.

"A Practical Benefit for Our Employees"
4.5/5
What do you like best about SmartDollar?

We implemented Dave Ramsey’s SmartDollar for our Wagons West-Pizza Ranch team, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Many of our employees have signed up, and several have shared that the program has helped them tremendously.

The platform is easy to use, practical, and highly relatable. More than one team member has told us they wish they’d known about this tool years ago. It’s given them clarity, structure, and confidence in managing their personal finances, which ultimately supports both their personal lives and their professional focus.

From an organizational standpoint, our account manager has been incredibly helpful throughout. Onboarding was smooth, communication has been consistent, and the follow-up support has been first-rate. It’s clear they genuinely care about helping businesses support their teams.

I highly recommend SmartDollar to any organization looking to invest in the financial well-being of their employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

Our employees have to be committed to trying this program; the initial setup takes a little bit of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
