What problems is SmartDollar solving and how is that benefiting you?

Real time life challenges to solution financial issues. Daily life is challenging and team members need to find money management solutions that put knowledge into their hands quickly. Using the Baby Step format, helps them to take their anxiety down and focus on their family and their jobs using a budget plan they can manage.

What do you like best about SmartDollar?

The most helpful thing is the totality of resources. You have access to so many incredible resources from budgeting tools and info to videos and articles about retirement, debt, taxes and so much more. They also have encouraging videos of people's lives who have been impacted by SmartDollar, and they talk about how they were able to accomplish financial success. Just enter a keyword and relevant content will surface right away. We also have curated learning paths organized by Baby Step so users can follow a clear plan without needing to browse. We'll keep working on making navigation even more intuitive!

"EveryDollar Makes Budgeting Clear and Saving Easy"

What do you like best about SmartDollar?

I love using the EveryDollar budgeting tool! It helps so much just to see each month where all of my money goes. I have managed to cut back a lot on spending, after seeing the unnecessary subscriptions and other miscellaneous items I was randomly purchasing. The short educational videos are awesome as well. What do you like best about SmartDollar?

What do you dislike about SmartDollar?

I'm having trouble getting my team to embrace this benefit. I don't know if they fully trust that the company is not able to see their personal financial information. A demo video that shows what the company has access to would be useful (perhaps that exists and I just haven't discovered it yet). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SmartDollar solving and how is that benefiting you?

We offer this as a benefit to our employees. When an employee mentions financial issues, they are having, I can keep the discussion professional and suggest they take advantage of this budgeting resource. Hi Paula, this is a really common and understandable concern, and we're glad you brought it up! As an employer administrator, you only have access to aggregated, anonymized engagement data. That includes things like how many employees have logged in or which Baby Steps are most active. You never see any individual employee's personal financial details, account balances or transactions. We do have resources to help communicate this to employees, including privacy FAQs and talking points. Reach out to your relationship manager and we'll get those to you.

Smart dollar doesn't just help. My team and myself stay on track when it comes to our finances, it's an entire platform to see your financial health. Hi Joshua, thank you for the feedback! For accounts that aren't supported by our current bank connections (like certain investment or retirement accounts), you can add them manually as assets. We're continually expanding our integrations. If you have a specific institution in mind, let smartdollar.help@ramseysolutions.com know and we'll note it for the product team. They’ll also give you a hand if you’re still having trouble connecting some external accounts.

All of our coaches are certified financial coaches trained in the same methodology, so while the faces may change, the quality and approach will stay consistent. What do you like best about SmartDollar?

SmartDollar has been an incredible addition to our employee benefits suite. We value having the system and the tools to support our team members in growing in their financial goals. The overall setup was simple and easy. The support we received from the Ramsey team was top-tier, and our Account Manager, Gus Rojas, guided us through the whole thing. Our team members are using the tool daily and find it to be extremely easy to add to their daily routine. What do you like best about SmartDollar?

SmarDollar is easy for our employees to use, and many have found it helpful in their financial planning. Our customer representative, Russ, engages regularly with us and is accessible when we have questions. He's very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable (but never pushy). Sometimes I feel like the frequent emails get overwhelming. Some of our employees prefer using other financial planning tools (like YNAB) that they have found easier to use and more thorough than SmartDollar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Janet, thanks for the feedback here. We know too many emails can feel overwhelming. But good news: Email frequency can be adjusted, and employees can manage their notification preferences directly in their account settings. So if the volume feels like too much, that's an easy fix. Please reach out to your relationship manager if you’d like them to walk you through it. On budgeting, we understand that every person has a preference. But with the EveryDollar app, we set out to deliver something more like a money coach in your employee’s pocket, offering personalized learning and recommendations to help free up margin. The average person finds $3,015 in the first 15 minutes of using the app! So the two tools are really serving different purposes. We're glad SmartDollar is adding value for your team overall!

What do you like best about SmartDollar?

It is easy to use and link with other accounts. The extra benefits for taxes and such are a great bonus. I am hoping this subscription helps our staff with their financial picture and sets good habits. The functionality is fantastic. It works well on a computer and also a phone/tablet. Hi Rebecca. SmartDollar's content is rooted in Dave Ramsey's values-based approach to money, but it’s been modified specifically for corporate America. What we've found is that the financial principles themselves—budgeting, debt elimination, saving—are practical and effective regardless of an individual's background or beliefs. That said, we genuinely appreciate the perspective.
