SmartConnect’s intuitive integration tools make it easy to set up integrations using drag-and-drop mapping across multiple data sources. I especially like the Excel import feature, which lets me run integrations from Excel into SmartConnect; it genuinely saves me hours each week. The integration between Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, and SmartConnect feels seamless in day-to-day use. Beyond Excel imports, the scheduling feature is a lifesaver for setting up automatic weekly data movement with minimal effort. Non-technical users have had a harder time learning and using SmartConnect, particularly for complex integrations, because it requires more technical knowledge of eConnect and Microsoft Dynamics. Troubleshooting errors can be difficult, especially when finding the problem fields or managing failed scheduled tasks. Improper installation and setup can cause performance issues, errors, and configurations that result in high memory consumption or data loss.
