## SlideShare Reviews
  ### 1. Unlocking the Potential of SlideShare: A Critical Analysis

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swaraj T. | Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2024

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

My teams like the community engagement of slideshare as we can like, comment on and even download presentations.Slideshare support all formats which is very hepful for content creation. As Slideshare is owned by LinkedIn it helps to enhance visibility and the networking opportutnities.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

My team does not likes the interface of slideshare as it becomes so much sophisticated a lot of times due to all the advertisements appearing alognside of the presentation. It also lacks some advanced features like animations which are important in any presentation.

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

earlier for sharing presentation we used to write bulky emails and their attachments but slideshare helps us providing a platform where we can upload those presentation and share them with wide audience, saving us a lot of time. Earlier there were no community engagment feature anywhere from where we can learn from the presentations of others, exchange ideas due to communiity engagement feature of Slideshare my team can like, comment and download presentations shared by others.

  ### 2. It's a good place to see others people's work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | UX Researcher, Consumer Goods, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

SlideShare is a good place to to see other people's work and presentations. I find it very useful when a subject is condensed Ina presentation and I am able to access it.

This has been very useful when I need an explanation on a definition and another person has done it and explained in a very simple way.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

I would say that my dislike with it is still the User i
Interface and User Experience. I think that it needs a better way to to show the presentations. Also, I don't like that now there are Ads in it.

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes content available for me and lot of other people. I can access definitions and work of others that I am interested in. Definitions and explanations made easy.

  ### 3. Easy to access to presentations across multiple topics from multiple sources

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aditi A. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2023

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

It has helpful content over a broad range of topics which can be accessed easily as ppt or pdf. It is fast, reliable and efficient.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Sometimes the interface feels a bit old and the quality a bit lacking. Further, the download option is not available on all slides for better access

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps easily access content irrespective of if you arre trying to learn, upload or present. It has reliable information that can get you across all topics of learning

  ### 4. Simple To Use & Share Slide Decks. Probably A Bit Less Powerful Since Sold From LinkedIN to Scribd

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve D. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2021

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

Incredibly simple way to share (almost) any kind of slide deck in a 'read only' way that can also help support your marketing because it is hosted on a platform where your deck may be discovered by new people.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Thought that the overall platform and the potential reach was stronger back when Slideshare was a LinkedIn product as opposed to a Scribd product when it was sold to Scribd in 2020. Still useful to host, share, embed, etc but was more powerful and valuable typically when it was owned by LinkedIn

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We host, share, and can then simply embed various decks for marketing, support, and partnership opportunities. We have moved to Google Slides for some of this because of better embed functionality and less reach on Slideshare compared to the past though.

  ### 5. information about almost everything in form of slide is available

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2019

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

information is presented in terms of slide. This makes understanding topic easy and effective.
Very much useful for giving last minute presentations

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

for some topics . PDFs available are broke into slides and are kept as presentations,
thus there is no point in using slides instead would have used PDF itself

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i browse for new things from slide share to get information quickly and effectively.
I refer slide share slides for my presentation needs

  ### 6. Amazing experience!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alia S. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2017

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

SlideShare allows users to upload PowerPoint, OpenDoc, and PDF presentations of up to 300MB.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

There are some features for which you have to pay if you want to use them. There are too many ads also.

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It Accepts many file types. It also has Large max file size. It is Mobile friendly.

  ### 7. Great publishing platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jess M. | Account Supervisor, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2015

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

I like that SlideShare provides another outlet for sharing content and allows you to do so with infographics, documents, videos and more. It’s a great way to make your content more visual, which is always more appealing to audiences. I’ve recommended SlideShare to clients as a way to generate additional exposure for content such as press releases, articles and white papers. Since it’s free for individuals to access these materials, it’s a great way to get more people to see the content.

It’s very user friendly and provides flexibility in the types of content you can upload. You can add a pre-designed PDF to SlideShare or you can break up the content from one PDF page into multiple more digestible slides. The possibilities are truly endless.

If you’re going to be using the platform a lot, you can create a customized business page to add even more credibility to your profile. You can track the number of followers you receive and the number of views on each presentation. You can even use SlideShare for lead generation.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

So far I haven’t encountered anything that I dislike about this platform. I do think it’s sometimes a forgotten tool and one that clients aren’t aware of so it might take a little bit more explaining if they don’t see the value in it. But it’s simple to use and another great tool for me and my firm’s clients.

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

Make sure your content is digestible by not putting too much information on each slide. Follow the same rules you would for a PowerPoint so that people can easily learn from your uploads.

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increasing visibility of content. Helping educate. Positioning clients as thought leaders. Generating leads.

  ### 8. Great for sharing collateral pieces or presentations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica P. | Associate Director, Digital Communications, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2014

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

Ease of use, good SEO benefits and a friendly/easy way to share company content, presentations, infographics, pdfs or other industry news to peers or potential leads. Embedding pieces and plugging in the proper keywords/description etc is helpful for our seo as well as getting folks familiar with seeing our brand name and educational materials. The free version is also great to utilize.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Nothing yet! We do not use it on a daily basis or use it to acquire leads yet, as ours is a very niche industry in finance.

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

If you're looking for a free service to get information out in the world on your brand or your industry topics, this is a great tool.

**What problems is SlideShare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use slideshare to get relevant content out, usually informational slides, PDFs, one-sheets or infographics to folks searching for information on that topic or pertinent questions.

  ### 9. Great tool for research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shyam K. | Account Manager, Renewables & Environment, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2013

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

I have used slideshare mainly for research purposes whilst studying for my masters and I have found it a great help. There is a lot of informative information available and beats reading a book any day. There is lots of valuable information that has been posted by users.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Im quite happy with what I use it for and I cant fault the service

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

I cant comment much on using slideshare from a commercial perspective, however for personal research use it is an excellent tool.

  ### 10. youtube of presentations

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Senior Sales Representative - Service Management, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2013

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

combines the idea of youtube and presentations, simplified approach to searching for the presentation you need. Supports major formats such as powerpoint and open office. Ability to collect sales leads through the shared community. Adopted the widely used login process of linking with facebook and/or linkedin.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

pricing plans are rather high. The free plan is very limited in functionality requiring a subscription to even begin to use slideshare (few free features). Lacks official tablet support, just web-based page which lags!

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

Theres a wide array of presentations available, so its perhaps worthwhile sharing (if your looking to share) your presentations. Ideally should be used in conjunction with Prezi or Sliderocket (who can create and share) and to use Slideshare to hit the wider community.

  ### 11. Excellent way to share a variety of content

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2013

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

I joined SlideShare to initially add some company marketing material to my LinkedIn page, it was a quick sign up process and was very easy to upload my presentation. I like the fact that you can embed your presentations onto other websites simply by copying the code on your upload presentation page.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Nothing

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

Give it a go, it allows you to upload and share a variety of content, including PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, Word documents, PDFs, and videos.

  ### 12. The easiest way to share big slide presentation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2013

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

if you have created a large powerpoint presentation often its a FTP or multizips to get it to a client.
With Slideshare, if its less than 100mb you can upload and they can easily view. Great idea

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

No real tracking of who is viewing your slides. Cannot lock down to only share to one person

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

Great for sharing slides that you don't mind anyone seeing

  ### 13. Easy way to share information and presentations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan K. | Head of People & Culture, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2013

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

Generally easy to access and search plus a great source of information and tools for future program development.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

Last fews times I tried to use it it didn't load properly so I wasn't able to access content appropriately.

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

Could be a great tool or repository but not sure its the best option out there depending on what you are sourcing.

  ### 14. A must for SEO initiatives

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe G. | Software Marketing Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2012

**What do you like best about SlideShare?**

The pros for using slideshare far outweigh the cons. By submitting PPT presentations, sales decks and reports you get the immediate benefit of indexing all your content to search engines.

**What do you dislike about SlideShare?**

There's not much to dislike. One may argue that the free account should have more functionality but the Pro account is affordable.

**Recommendations to others considering SlideShare:**

SlideShare should be right up there on your list next to YouTube/Facebook and other social SEO initiatives.

  ### 15. Solid content sharing tool. Free version is probably good enough for most people.
