"Excellent tool for AI visibility and SEO workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

I’ve been using Slate for our AEO and GEO work, and it has been really helpful so far. The best part is the AI visibility tracking. It gives a clear view of where our brand is getting mentioned, where citations are coming from, and how we are performing across AI search results.

I also like that we can see the data at both overall level and topic level. This makes it easier to understand which themes we are strong and where we need to improve.

The citations report is very useful too. It helps us see which prompts are showing results from platforms like Reddit, YouTube, and other sources.

Another good thing is the owned vs earned media tracking. It gives us a better idea of where we should focus our content and outreach efforts.

Slate also fits well into our SEO workflow, so we don’t have to keep jumping between too many tools. The suggestions from Google Search Console data are also useful when we are planning content updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

Sometimes there are small errors when running tasks, but the support team has been helpful whenever we raised it.

I also feel some AI search features can still get better over time, but overall Slate has been very useful for our SEO and visibility tracking work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Connects AI Search Insights to Execution at Scale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

What I like best about Slate is that it goes far beyond traditional SEO tools by actually connecting insights with execution. The AI Visibility Dashboard is especially powerful. It gives a clear view of how our brand appears across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and AI Overviews at a prompt level, not just keywords. Being able to track brand mentions, page citations, competitor presence, share of voice, and even sentiment for real user prompts is a game-changer for understanding how AI systems perceive and surface our content.

Another standout feature is how Slate automatically identifies gaps and suggests relevant search prompts, helping us stay aligned with real user intent. This removes a lot of guesswork and ensures we’re optimizing for what actually matters in AI-driven search.

The workflow automation is equally impressive. With minimal input, we can create end-to-end workflows for content optimization, internal linking, new content creation, and even CRO improvements. The ability to integrate directly with CMS platforms like WordPress or Webflow and publish content seamlessly makes the entire process incredibly efficient.

Overall, Slate stands out because it not only tells you what to improve but also helps you execute it at scale, which is critical in the evolving landscape of AI search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

AI Visibility Dashboard provides deep insights at the prompt level, the volume of data can sometimes feel overwhelming. It would be helpful to have more simplified views or guided recommendations for prioritization, especially when managing multiple prompts and campaigns.

The workflow automation, although very strong, still depends heavily on how well the initial prompt or setup is defined. If the input isn’t structured properly, the output may require manual refinement, which adds an extra step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Streamlines SEO Automation with Standout AI Visibility Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

I’ve been using Slate for the past 3 months, and it has been very useful for automating my day to day SEO tasks. It’s also a strong tool for tracking AI visibility and stands out among other AI tracking tools with its unique page-level suggestions pulled directly from Google Search Console.

It also analyzes brand sentiment and how LLMs talk about your brand when relevant prompts are searched. That said, it does have some limitations in execution and occasionally throws errors, but the support team has been very responsive and helpful, which stands out. "Slate Streamlined Our AI Brand Visibility Tracking"
4/5
What do you like best about Slate?

We run growth at Flowcart, which means I’m constantly juggling content production, competitive research, and keeping track of how we show up across AI platforms. Slate handles a chunk of that now. I built a workflow that pulls together brand visibility data from ChatGPT and Perplexity mentions, which used to be a manual, annoying Friday afternoon task. It’s not anymore.

The grid and sheet setup also clicked for me faster than I expected. I’ve tried similar tools where the “workflow builder” is really just a fancy form. Slate’s is different, the logic actually flows between steps and the AI models do what you set them up to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

The native integrations could go further. I end up using Zapier as a bridge more than I’d like. Not a dealbreaker, but I’d rather connect directly to the tools we already use without the extra hop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automated Content Ops with Customizable Workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

I really like that with Slate, I don't have to identify content gaps each time, and the process of writing content briefs separately has become pretty much automated, saving me a lot of time. I appreciate the ease of use, allowing me to generate things at scale and get outputs in a matter of minutes. The workflow builder is fantastic, as it lets me customize according to my needs and select whatever model I want. Slate's customization options have been really helpful, allowing me to stitch things together by reading data from multiple sources. The ready templates are great, but I also love the flexibility to change things based on my specific use case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

maybe the learning curve can be shorter. I had to just understand things more in-depth. Before we start making use of it. There are a lot of modules, lot of things to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Closes the Loop Between SEO Strategy and Daily Execution"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

For me, the standout feature of Slate is that it actually closes the loop between SEO strategy and daily execution. Most AI platforms just dump a bunch of data or prompts in your lap and leave you to figure out how to implement it across your team. Slate is different because it’s built for actual operations.

Instead of jumping constantly between Google Sheets, a keyword research tool, standalone AI generators, and a CMS, everything flows through one continuous pipeline. I absolutely love how it handles the operational side of things—like managing content refreshes and tracking effort via its credit system. When you are managing multiple client retainers, being able to easily track resource allocation is a lifesaver for protecting agency profit margins.

It feels less like a traditional "SEO tool" and more like a complete operating system for our content team. It prioritizes action over just staring at dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

I wouldn't say I have any major complaints, mostly just the minor growing pains you'd expect from a platform that does this much.

A couple of areas for improvement:

• The initial learning curve: Because Slate packs in so much functionality (strategy, generation, workflow management), the interface can feel a bit heavy for a brand-new user. A more interactive walkthrough or a library of plug-and-play templates would help speed up the onboarding process.

• User permissions: As we bring more freelance writers, editors, and client stakeholders into the system, having more granular, role-based access controls is going to become a necessity for us to scale safely.

But honestly, the foundation is incredibly strong, and these are just refinements I expect they'll iron out as the platform matures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Brand Radar and Workflow Builder That Just Runs"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

The brand radar feature is what got me in. We needed to know how often our company shows up when people ask ChatGPT or Perplexity about payments fintech, stuff like that. Slate tracks that across multiple LLMs and lays it out in a way that's actually useful, not just a wall of data.

The other thing I didn't expect to care about is the workflow builder. I set up a content refresh workflow that flags our blog posts when they start losing freshness signals, then kicks off an update process. Took maybe 20 minutes to build the first one. And now it just runs. I don't think about it most weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

The first time I opened the workflow builder I had to poke around for a bit before I understood how steps chain together. It clicked after maybe 15 minutes, but some starter templates for common use cases would've helped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Turns AI Search Insights into Scalable Content Workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

What impressed me most about Slate is how it connects AI search visibility with large-scale content execution. We started using it mainly for the AEO tracker, but quickly realized the workflow engine is equally powerful.

The AEO tracker gives us a clear view of how our brand appears across LLM answers. Compared with tools like Peec, Profound, and Scrunch, Slate provides similar insights on citations, share of voice, and competitor visibility but at a much lower cost. For teams experimenting with AI search optimization, that pricing difference alone makes it attractive.

Where Slate really stands out is the ability to operationalize those insights. Instead of exporting reports and sending them to a content team, we run workflows directly in Slate. For example, we automatically analyze competitor pages, generate briefs, and produce outlines for dozens of keywords in one run.

The Sheets-style execution is also very useful. We can run workflows across hundreds of keywords or URLs, which makes it ideal for large content teams. It feels like building a content engineering pipeline rather than managing SEO tasks manually.

We still rely on Semrush and Ahrefs for some traditional SEO research, but many of the repetitive tasks like analysis, briefs, and content planning now happen in Slate. That has reduced a lot of manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

Since Slate is still evolving, the ecosystem of integrations is still expanding. Some niche marketing tools we use are not yet directly integrated.

However, the pace at which the product team ships features is impressive. We’ve requested a couple of integrations and improvements, and the team either provided a workaround via workflows or released an update very quickly. Their Slack support channel is extremely active, and we’ve received direct help setting up automations multiple times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Turns AI Search Visibility Insights into Scalable, End-to-End Workflows"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

What stands out most about Slate is how effectively it bridges AI search insights with execution at scale. We initially adopted it for tracking AI search visibility, but quickly found the workflow capabilities to be just as impactful.

The AI visibility tracking provides a clear understanding of how our brand shows up across LLM-generated answers. It offers comparable insights to other tools in the space—like citation tracking, share of voice, and competitor benchmarking—but at a much more accessible price point. That makes it especially appealing for teams exploring AI-driven search strategies without committing to high-cost platforms.

Where Slate really differentiates itself is in turning insights into action. Instead of manually exporting data and coordinating with different teams, we can run end-to-end workflows directly within the platform. For instance, we analyze competitor content, generate structured briefs, and build content outlines for multiple keywords in a single workflow.

The spreadsheet-style interface is another highlight. It allows us to scale workflows across a large set of keywords or URLs, making it ideal for teams managing high-volume content pipelines. It feels less like using a traditional SEO tool and more like building a streamlined content production system.

While we still use other tools for specific SEO tasks, a significant portion of our content research, planning, and execution has shifted to Slate, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

As a growing platform, Slate is still expanding its integration ecosystem. Some of the specialized tools we rely on aren’t yet natively supported, which can require additional setup or workarounds.

That said, the product team is highly responsive and ships updates frequently. In several cases, we’ve seen requested features addressed either through new releases or creative workflow solutions. Their support channels are also very active, and the team has been helpful in guiding us through automation setups when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slate Is a True Agency-Ready System for Scalable SEO, AEO & Content Ops"
5/5
What do you like best about Slate?

What I like best about Slate is that it actually understands how agencies work in the real world, not how tools think agencies work.

Most AI SEO or content tools stop at insights — keywords, prompts, dashboards, recommendations. Slate goes a level deeper into execution. It’s built around workflows, credits, refreshes, and repeatable systems that map directly to how we manage multiple clients, editors, and deliverables every month.

From an agency account perspective, the biggest win is control at scale. We can plan long-form content, ongoing refreshes, and on-page optimizations from one place, without constantly context-switching between docs, sheets, CMS, and standalone AI tools. The credit model makes effort visible and predictable, which is critical when you’re managing retainers and margins.

I also like that Slate doesn’t position itself as just an “AI search analytics” tool. The analytics are useful, but the real value is how insights flow into actions — content creation, updates, internal linking, and optimization — instead of sitting idle in a dashboard.

In short, Slate feels less like a tool you “check” and more like a system you run your SEO and content ops on. That’s rare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slate?

Honestly, there’s nothing I’d call a real dislike at this stage

A few areas that can improve with maturity:

Some workflows still need light hand-holding during the first setup, especially for teams new to AI-driven content ops. A bit more guided onboarding or templates would make the learning curve even smoother.

Because Slate does a lot (analytics, workflows, content, refreshes, agents), it can feel slightly overwhelming on day one. Once you understand the mental model, it clicks but getting there could be faster.

As we scale usage across more clients, deeper role-based controls and permissions will become increasingly important for larger agency teams.

None of these are blockers they’re the kind of refinements you expect as a product moves from early adopters to mass adoption. The core foundation is solid, and the direction is clearly right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
