"Convenient Channel-Based Chat for Quick Team Conversations"
4/5
What do you like best about Slack?

I really like how convenient it is to use, especially with the separation of channels. It makes it easy to have quick, instant conversations with my coworkers. I can also upload files and share photos and videos so everyone can see them.

We haven’t integrated it with any other tools at the moment, but it works extremely fast and messages are sent instantly. I also like that it notifies us when a new message is received.

Getting set up was pretty easy at first; all it took was a simple email link and you’re in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I don’t really like the threads feature. It feels a bit confusing to use, and sometimes I’m left unsure whether someone has answered one of my questions. It’s also a slight pain having to log out every single day at the end of my shift, because otherwise the next person who logs on can see my stuff since it stays logged in. "A Valuable Tool for Workplace Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

What I like most about Slack is how it brings communication, collaboration, and information together in one place. Rather than dealing with long email chains, conversations happen in real time and remain organized in channels, which makes it easier to find the right context and stay aligned with the team. I also appreciate its integrations with other tools, since they help streamline workflows and cut down on the need to constantly switch between multiple applications throughout the day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

One thing I dislike about Slack is that it can feel overwhelming when there are lots of active channels and nonstop notifications. With so many conversations happening at once, important messages can sometimes get buried, which makes it harder for me to stay on top of priorities. Even though Slack provides tools to organize channels and manage notifications, it can still lead to information overload—especially in larger teams where communication is frequent and constant. "Slack - A solid hub for team collaboration!"
4/5
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack is a mature and a stable platform that provides one of the best area for team collaboration, I have used slack on multiple occasions for client projects that required it as a primary communication tool - and I have felt no problem with using it, In fact it had best features for keeping track of the communication.

The best feature I like about slack is the threaded conversation that help me track the discussion topics and client approvals in a structured manner, even though there are good competitor tools available, those didn't had the threaded communication as primary mode of communication Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

In cases where I have to work with multiple client, I sometime feel overwhelmed with the channel organizing and always conscious not to miss out any message... I'd appreciate if the UI to manage the channels and notification improved a bit

One more thing I want slack to improve is that I have integrated many AI triaging chatbots into slack channels, during testing phase, I will be triggering It multiple time to check the AI response, to my knowledge there isn't a easier way to delete the message that are sent by the AI bot apart from triggering a delete function via code.. but I would rather prefer a dedicated UI for efficiently achieving that intent. "Slack helps you streamline communication with your Team via helpfull Powerful Integrations"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

I like how organized Slack makes team communication compared with traditional email or scattered messaging apps. Channels keep conversations focused, and the interface is clean enough that I can manage multiple projects at once without it feeling overwhelming.

Integrations are easily one of Slack’s biggest strengths. Connecting tools like Google Drive, Notion, GitHub, Jira, and Zoom makes workflows smoother because updates and notifications stay centralized in one place instead of being spread across different platforms.

Performance has been reliable overall, with messages syncing quickly across desktop and mobile. The search functionality is also genuinely useful when I need to track down older conversations or locate shared files.

Onboarding is straightforward, so new team members usually adapt quickly without much training. Support and documentation have been solid as well whenever we’ve needed help.

The AI features are still evolving, but the summaries and search assistance are already helpful for catching up on long discussions and reducing information overload.

Overall, Slack saves us a lot of time internally and improves collaboration across teams, which makes the pricing easier to justify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

One thing I dislike about Slack is that it can become noisy very quickly in larger teams. Too many channels and constant notifications sometimes make it harder to focus instead of improving productivity.

The UI is clean, but managing large workspaces with hundreds of conversations can still feel cluttered over time.

Performance is generally good, although the desktop app can occasionally become resource-heavy, especially when running alongside other work tools.

Another downside is pricing. The free plan is limited for growing teams, and costs can increase significantly once you need message history, advanced features, or larger collaboration setups.

While the integrations are excellent, configuring certain workflows and permissions can sometimes be more complicated than expected.

The AI features are promising, but some still feel early-stage and not fully reliable enough to replace manual organization or summaries completely Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"UX/UI That’s Easy to Navigate"
5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

I love how active the communities are on Slack. In the past, I used Slack for just about everything, but my current company is a Microsoft Teams environment. With the recent announcements about removing messages after 90 days, I’m being forced to rely more on emails in Outlook, which is pretty cumbersome, and doesn't allow for the ability to edit easily if I hit send too soon. I really miss Slack’s UX/UI and how easy it is to find things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I've had to sign up without a company so I could access the Slack communities that are very active and very enriching. The paywall keeps hitting me and hinders my ability to be in active channels I want to be in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Less Noise, Faster Fixes."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

It acts like a glue between engineering, product, and support for us. The go-to for us is incident channels, instead of a chaotic call with a dozen people, we spin up a small channel with just the four people who need to be there, and the thread doubles as a postmortem. Jira syncs in automatically too, so nobody's stuck refreshing a board. it has helped cut our response time on critical issues by about 45ish%. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

Notification management takes constant tuning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean UI and Powerful Integrations That Centralize Team Communication"
5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

The clean UI/Ux and how it centralizes team communiaction in one place is the first best thing i like.the channel based organization makes conversation easier to manage compared to traditional email chains. The integrations are one of the biggest thing we need . connecting tools like guithub , jira , ggogle drive etc helps reduce context switching and keepswupdates centrallized. From a performance perspective , slack generaly feels responsive and reliable for daily communication , file sharing and quick collaboration. I also liked the onboardind experience beacuse it is easy to set up and begginner friendly.

Regarding inteligence features, slack ai summaries and search assistance are useful for catching up on conversations we missed and reduce information overload in buzy channels. The only thing that sometimes feels limiting is pricing for grwoing teams , especially when messge history become important Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One thing I dislike about Slack is that, with many active channels, constant notifications, and multiple threads, it’s easy to miss important updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Keeps Our Nonprofit Team Connected with Helpful Integrations and Automations"
4/5
What do you like best about Slack?

It keeps our team connected and engaged in our mission, and the integrations and automations help us stay on top of tasks. The price is right for nonprofits! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

For smaller nonprofits or teams with mixed levels of tech comfort, Slack may also require more training and structure than expected. If channels are not organized well, the platform can become messy and harder to manage over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Navigation, Reliable Despite Some Hiccups"
5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

I like Slack's easy navigation, making it a super simple messaging app within the team. The Huddl feature is valuable for me as it facilitates easy communication through video calls with team members, which is much easier than going back and forth with messages. The initial setup of Slack was super easy and straightforward for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

I'm frustrated because Slack cuts off my Huddles, showing a message that my internet connection is bad even though I have a very good internet connection with high speed and no latency issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive UI and Smart Notifications Make Slack a Collaboration Win"
5/5
What do you like best about Slack?

Slack helps me kick-start conversations with fellow colleagues and share the required details with stakeholders and the business team. It also makes it easy to find older chats quickly, without compromising performance. Slack provides the ability to start a group or channel and then kick off a thread or discussion whenever it’s needed. It also offers video calls, screen sharing, and audio calls, which help us engage with teammates and take quicker action. Group conversations can be locked as well, which adds privacy when required. Integration with external apps is also possible, such as Zoom, Google Drive, and more. The Slack Help Center provides immediate support for open items or issues that need to be addressed. New features also include AI capabilities for summarising context, rephrasing, and translating conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Slack?

As a business user of slack , locked private conversation does not have the ability to share to other stakeholders in case of certain context awareness that was needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
