## Slack Reviews
 ### 1. A reliable and easy-to-use team communication tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satyam N. | React Native Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication smooth and well-organized. I really like how channels help separate discussions by topic, which keeps conversations clear and easy to follow. The search feature is also a big plus—it’s simple to find older messages or shared files without wasting time. I also like the wide range of integrations, like Google Drive and Zoom, which makes it easier to manage work without constantly switching apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the number of notifications can feel overwhelming, especially if you are part of multiple active channels. The free version also has a limit on message history, which can be frustrating when you need to go back and check older conversations. It would be helpful if Slack offered more flexibility in customizing notification preferences and kept a longer history without upgrading.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps reduce the clutter of emails and makes team conversations faster and more transparent. Instead of waiting for replies in long email threads, I can quickly get updates or share files with my team in real time. Channels make it easy to keep discussions organized by project or topic, so nothing gets lost. It also saves time by connecting with other tools we already use, which keeps everything in one place and improves overall team productivity.

 ### 2. Streamlined Global Team Collaboration with Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria B. | Especialista en operaciones, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like Slack because it makes communication with a global team very easy. The channels allow us to keep conversations organized by project or topic, so finding information is simple. I also appreciate the real-time messaging and notifications, which help me stay updated and respond quickly. The huddle feature makes my work even easier. Slack helps streamline collaboration and keeps everyone aligned, even when working across different time zones. Additionally, the integration with other tools helps centralize information, improving our workflow. The initial setup was very easy, and our team adopted it quickly without needing much guidance or training.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One area where Slack could be improved is thread notifications. Sometimes it's easy to miss replies in threads, especially when there are many active conversations at the same time. Improving the visibility and consistency of thread notifications would make it easier to follow discussions and ensure that important responses are not overlooked. Beyond thread notifications, one possible improvement could be giving users more flexibility to customize notifications, so it's easier to prioritize what really needs attention.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to keep my global team connected with real-time messaging. It organizes conversations by channels, helping us stay updated and reducing confusion. Its integrations with other tools streamline our workflow, making collaboration more efficient even across different time zones.

 ### 3. Seamless Integration and Efficient Communication Hub

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil J. | Product Specialist - Founder's Office, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like Slack's ease of usability. It's great how everything gets synchronized easily when dropping messages or sharing files. Communicating across different channels and subchannels is very straightforward and organized, so it's hard to get confused. The responsiveness and speed of Slack make it an excellent tool for our team.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the notifications are missed when a new update is pushed. This kind of destroys and delays and costs a lot in ROI. Notifications can be lost not because of any misconfigured settings or some actual bug at the end, but it generally happens when Slack tries to update. Over time, Slack becomes buggy, or when a new feature is pushed, sometimes old features break. The dependency on Slack is a lot, and that becomes a real challenge.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for real-time communication across multiple time zones, both internally and with clients. It integrates with various tools, keeps everything organized, and replaces sluggish email and less responsive platforms.

 ### 4. Streamlined Communication for Large Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay Person d. | Risk & Fraud Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate that Slack's channels help keep conversations organized and reduce confusion. The powerful search feature is great for quickly finding past decisions and files. I love how integrations bring updates from other tools into one place, reducing context switching. The async-friendly communication is a major plus, as it cuts down on meetings and supports remote work. Quick messaging really speeds up problem-solving and helps maintain a low-friction communication culture. The transparency feature improves team alignment. Using Slack alongside tools like Asana, JIRA, Google Drive, Zoom, Google Calendar, Zendesk, or Salesforce makes it even more powerful, seamlessly integrating with our workflow. Slack's straightforward initial setup works well for any team size, and the platform supports over 500 of us in our large company.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I get notification overload, which can be really overwhelming. There's message overload, too, which makes it hard to keep track of important info. Sometimes, threads can get confusing, especially when conversations get lengthy or diverge. The search feature has its limitations, which makes finding certain messages or files a bit tricky. There’s still quite a bit of context switching, and it's not ideal as a long-term knowledge base because information can easily get buried.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack reduces email overload, improves tool integration, speeds decision-making, and connects remote teams. Channels and search help organize communication, and integration with other tools reduces context switching. Asynchronous communication cuts meetings, aiding remote work and enhancing team alignment.

 ### 5. Slack keeps our team communication fast, organized, and efficient.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it centralizes team communication and keeps everything organized in one place. Channels and threads make conversations easy to follow, and the powerful search function means past discussions and shared files are always easy to find. Its seamless integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub also make Slack feel like a true collaboration hub, helping our team respond more quickly and stay aligned. Overall, it cuts down on email clutter and boosts productivity across projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when message volume is high and notifications are frequent in active channels. In busy conversations, it can also be difficult to quickly find key information, and the free plan’s message history limits may restrict access to older messages when you need to look back.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses fragmented communication by bringing team conversations, files, and tools together in one centralized platform. This cuts down on reliance on email and scattered chats, making collaboration faster, clearer, and more transparent. As a result, our team stays aligned, decisions get made more quickly, and important information is easier to find, which ultimately improves overall productivity.

 ### 6. Essential Communication Tool for Large Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett W. | Assistant Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love being able to schedule messages to be sent at a certain time and date, which is nice because we have team members in different time zones. We use Slack for connecting the entire company, sending one-on-one messages, and starting group messages. We utilize channels to dispense company-wide or targeted information. It's great to quickly connect with someone rather than sending an email and waiting for a response. With Slack, we can send a quick message, start a huddle, and send files, which is really convenient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would like read receipts so I know if someone read my message yet, or having saved phrases that you can quickly select from to respond to messages.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for quick connection across the company, replacing emails with instant messages, huddles, and file sharing. It also allows scheduling messages for team members in different time zones.

 ### 7. Effortless Team Communication with Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourav C. | Information Systems Security - Masters Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack is easy to use, fast, and secure, making communication more efficient than email. The clean UI provides exactly the features we need, and the good search capability helps in finding old messages and files easily, which makes troubleshooting easier. File sharing is safe and simple, and the mobile app is also good. I appreciate the integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub, which enhance our collaboration. Features like huddles and immediate Zoom chats are very helpful, and the ability to track comments and progress on Jira tickets is great. Bots are helpful for notifications, and I like the status feature too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes there are too many notifications and disturbances, which can shift my concentration away from work. The mobile app is laggy at times, and messages take a while to sync. Also, I feel there's a need for more AI features, like spell check, AI helpers, and rephrase options.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes office communication fast, easy, and secure. It allows us to search and chat with anyone, share files easily, start huddles or Zoom chats, and find old messages, facilitating troubleshooting. Integrations with tools like Jira and Zoom enhance our collaboration.

 ### 8. Effortless Team Collaboration, Needs Better Meeting Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vivek k. | Solution Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack super useful for team collaboration. I really appreciate the fast and efficient search that lets me find past conversations easily. The channels are great for organizing specific projects or topics, making it easier to stay focused. I like the chatbot for in-depth conversation summaries, which help me keep up with everything. Features like agentforce agent deployment are pretty neat because I can have my Slack ask the agent to perform specific tasks without needing to open my org. The mobile-friendly design is a plus, making it easy to stay connected on the go. I also enjoy the new emojis which add a fun touch to our interactions. The Recap feature keeps me up to date with my cases so I don't miss any priority cases. Setting up Slack was very easy, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I asked Slackbot to schedule a direct Google Meet with my client and it didn't work well. Slackbot lacks there. Once I give email IDs to Slack and ask to schedule the meeting, then Slackbot should automatically take care of it. Integration with Google Meet, Teams, Zoom would be helpful. Slackbot should automatically choose the channel specified for collaboration and schedule the call.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for fast and efficient search, managing channels for specific projects or topics, and utilizing the chatbot for conversation recaps. Features like agent deployment and Recap keep me on top of tasks without needing multiple tools.

 ### 9. Organized, Fast, and Human: Slack Keeps Work Flowing in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gurleen K. | senior business travel consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It keeps conversations organized. Instead of drowning in emails, everything is split into channels, so you always know where a conversation belongs and why it exists. You can jump into a discussion, skim what you missed, and respond without that “I’m already too late” feeling.
The speed is a big win for me. Quick questions get quick answers, reactions replace unnecessary replies, and decisions don’t drag on for days. At the same time, it doesn’t force real-time pressure, you can respond when you’re ready.

I also really appreciate how well Slack integrates with everything. Calendar updates, file sharing, task tools, reminders everything flows into one place instead of being scattered across tabs and apps.

And lastly, Slack somehow makes work feel more human. Emojis, status updates, threads, and casual check-ins create space for personality, not just productivity. It feels like working with people, not just systems.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notification overload- It’s easy to feel constantly on. Between channels, threads, DMs, and mentions, notifications can pile up fast and become distracting if not managed carefully.

Due to too many channels - Over time, workspaces can turn messy. Channels get created and abandoned, conversations repeat, and it’s not always clear where something should be discussed.

Important messages get buried - Critical updates can disappear quickly in busy channels, especially if people are chatting actively or reacting a lot.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack mainly solves the problem of scattered communication, and that’s what benefits me most. Before Slack, conversations were spread across emails, meetings, texts, and different tools, so information got lost, responses were slow, and context was often missing. Slack brings all of that into one shared space, where conversations are searchable, transparent, and connected to specific topics or teams.

It also helps with slow decision-making. Instead of waiting on email replies or trying to schedule yet another meeting, questions can be answered quickly in channels or threads, which keeps work moving forward without unnecessary delays.

Another major issue Slack addresses is a lack of visibility. I can see what other teams are working on, follow updates without needing to be directly involved, and jump in when it’s relevant. That cuts down on back-and-forth and helps keep everyone aligned.

For me personally, the biggest benefits are clarity and speed. I spend less time chasing updates, less time sitting in meetings, and more time actually getting work done. Everything—from files to feedback to quick check-ins—is easy to find and access in one place, which makes collaboration feel smoother and more natural.

 ### 10. Effortless Team Communication with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ema B. | System Engineer, Computer Networking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for day-to-day communication with team members and sharing files. It's very easy to use for online communication with people in my organization. I love its customization options, like starring channels and adding people to VIP lists for quick access to those I communicate with most. Creating channels for different teams is a breeze, and the integration with ServiceNow is super helpful for notifying about urgent cases. I can instantly see if someone is online and share info in channels efficiently. The @channel feature is handy for urgent communications, and when I post incident numbers from ServiceNow, Slack instantly provides a link. This really helps us work more efficiently and solve urgent issues promptly.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The translation feature seldom works; sometimes it translates the message, sometimes not. And sometimes even if it translates, you have difficulty finding it. It is challenging in multicultural and multilingual environments, as the translation option does not work all the time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for day-to-day communication and file sharing with my team. It's highly customizable, lets me create channels, and shows who's online. The ServiceNow integration is crucial for urgent issues, making us more efficient.

 ### 11. Slack Keeps Dortoservices Connected and Operations Running Smoothly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subham A. | Sales Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is a highly optimised work space for our company Dortoservices where we make sure that all of the employees interact with each other and share the documents along with invoices, bills, data, customer leads etc. This is a software that ensures the smooth functioning of operations related challenges in our company.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Initially we used to work on the free plan of slack but this version has limited message history option available and if you get multiple messages from different team members then the overall data becomes messy and hard to find. So, we went for its premium plan and made sure that all the files are properly managed.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dorto services is a complete startup that work on the different part of our country. Our team member provide services to our customer in remote areas so we need to exchange information from them each and every day and make sure that all of the operations are executed properly without field challenges and these processes are done properly with the help of slack.

 ### 12. Slack has become a key tool for managing complex, cross-departmental collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parth M. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

No matter the department or time zone, Slack’s channel-based messaging and direct messages have become an essential part of our workflow, keeping our team responsive, aligned, and in sync. Thanks to its smooth integrations, we can collaborate across locations with very little friction.

Slack has also evolved into the central place for day-to-day conversations, file sharing, and even getting work done, especially through integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and our project management software. As a result, it has made it much easier to manage different parts of the project lifecycle without constantly switching between apps.

Once we got up to speed, Slack quickly became our team’s go-to communication tool. Even as our teams grow and message volume increases, we can still rely on consistent performance and a seamless user experience.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack excels at many things, but task management is one area where it needs improvement.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack's ability to centralize communication has revolutionized our team. The issue of fragmented communication that can arise from lengthy email threads and dispersed messages has been resolved. We all stay on the same page because everything is arranged in real-time according to topics and channels. Through integrations with programs like Google Drive, Zoom, and our project trackers, Slack has evolved into a central location for collaboration, document sharing, and even decision-making in addition to conversations. We stay connected, productive, and project-focused thanks to this central, effective, and always-accessible platform.

 ### 13. Seamless Integration, Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Md Mudassir A. | Product Designer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like the good interface of the whole Slack platform. I find its integration with different software, like Figma, very useful. The huddle interface is just amazing. The searchability feature makes finding a file or a specific feedback comment from months ago effortless. I also appreciate the threads feature, which keeps conversations organized and prevents the main channel from getting cluttered. Integrating Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud with Slack is a significant improvement, as it reduces context switching and allows me to stay in the 'creative flow' longer.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I wish there was a more robust 'Gallery' or 'Asset View' for each channel that organized shared images and Figma links more intuitively. The message history limit is a significant drawback for long-term projects where you might need to reference design decisions or assets from over a year ago.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is a one-place solution, integrating tools like Figma, reducing context switching, and keeping me in the creative flow longer. It offers effortless searchability and organized threads, minimizing clutter and enabling easy access to past files and comments.

 ### 14. A useful platform for daily work communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kunj S. | Salesforce Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is an easy and dependable tool for daily team communication. I appreciate how it keeps conversations organized by separating them into channels, which makes it straightforward to locate messages and files. The notifications, integrations with other tools, and the ability to quickly search messages all save time and help teams remain connected.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

At times, Slack can become overwhelming due to the sheer volume of messages and notifications. The limited message history available in the free version can also be quite frustrating. Additionally, the audio and video call features are rather basic when compared to those offered by some other tools.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the issue of fragmented communication that often happens with emails and meetings. By bringing all team conversations, files, and updates together in a single platform, it enhances collaboration, cuts down on email use, and enables the team to respond more quickly and work more efficiently.

 ### 15. Lightweight, Superfast, and Easy to Switch Between Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alpana C. | Digital PR Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ease of implementation, set up and how easy it is to switch between devices - mobile and desktop. Also, it is lightweight and loads superfast. Helps me keep in touch with my global team and supports my remote role. I love how I can shelve tasks for later and get updates if I am not catching up on a task.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The free mode doesn't let you save the files, also you need to connect third party plugins to view Google docs and other things.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping in touch with team. Meet and speak with team at the drop of the hat. Stay connected with a global team whether I am at home or outside. I can also keep multiple projects and teams open in tabs in one slack account - which is just awesome.

 ### 16. Makes Life Easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kloi Margaret A. | Risk Investigator, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is great for fast, organized team communication. Channels keep topics clear, and integrations with tools like Google Drive and Zoom boost productivity. It’s especially useful for remote teams, making collaboration and quick updates easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack is great for quick communication but has downsides. Important messages often get lost in threads, and the free plan limits search history. Too many channels can cause confusion, and it’s not ideal for storing long-term information.

Notifications can be distracting and create pressure to respond quickly, which affects focus and work-life balance. It’s also easy to rely on Slack for everything, making it harder to manage and onboard new team members effectively.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of slow, scattered communication by centralizing team conversations in one place. Instead of long email chains or missed messages, you get real-time updates, organized channels, and quick replies.

This benefits users by saving time, improving collaboration, and keeping everyone on the same page—especially useful for remote or hybrid teams. It helps reduce delays, keeps work visible, and makes team communication more efficient and flexible.

 ### 17. Intuitive, Fast, and Seamless for Remote Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh S. | Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for its ease of communication and data sharing in a remote setup. It's easy to use and fast, which helps me stay in flow. I love the UI/UX as well. Channels keep conversations organized, and sharing files or context takes seconds. Slack makes collaboration in a remote setup feel simple and efficient. I also find the integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira incredibly useful, as they make it easier to share files, jump into meetings, and track work without switching between too many apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notifications can get overwhelming in busy workspaces, and it's easy to miss important messages. With too many channels, things can feel noisy, and message history sometimes becomes hard to track over time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack simplifies communication and data sharing in a remote setup. It's fast and intuitive, keeping me in flow. Channels organize conversations, and integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira make collaboration easy and efficient.

 ### 18. Essential Communication Hub with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit T. | Application Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is my go to tool for communication across my organization.I can structure channels by topic, project or team and do not need mails for everything. The other tools that we use like Outlook, Zoom, Jira can easily be integrated making Slack for me like a communication dashboard for day to day work. Also serves as my goto knowledge base when I am stuck at something, I search on Slack and most of the times I see a channel where the same question has been asked. Reduces redundancy a lot.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The Search is pretty bad. One wrong spelling here and there and it returns nothing. I have seen better search across other similar tools. Also I do not know how to retain messages for a private conversation for a long time. Have to create channels if we want that, for everything.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it reduces cluttering of information. The first thing I open at work is my Slack, and I instantly know ehat meetings I have, what is my to-do list etc. Execution becomes faster since planning is taken care of by Slack. Hence productivity increases.

 ### 19. Seamless Automation and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash Sai R. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

As a Lead Software Engineer managing multiple squads, Slack has become indispensable for our development workflow. Three features stand out

Workflow Builder with no-code automation — We've automated our entire deployment pipeline notifications. I set up workflows that trigger when events occur in GitHub, PagerDuty, and Jira, centralizing all our DevOps alerts into dedicated channels. The branching logic (up to five nested branches) lets us route incidents based on severity — critical bugs go straight to on-call, while minor issues queue for sprint planning. No more context-switching between ten different tools.

Developer-friendly integrations — We connect GitHub Enterprise, AWS Chatbot, and our CI/CD pipelines directly into Slack. Pull request reviews, commit notifications, and deployment statuses all flow into relevant channels. The Bolt framework (available for Python, JavaScript, and Java) made building our custom internal bot straightforward. We created a bot similar to Shopify's "Spy" that queries our microservices health, checks deployment status, and creates incident channels — all without leaving Slack

Notifications 2.0 and keyword alerts — The recent overhaul finally solved notification fatigue. I've configured custom keywords like "production," "incident," and my team members' project names so I never miss critical discussions, even in high-traffic channels. The VIP notifications feature prioritizes alerts from our monitoring apps, ensuring PagerDuty and Datadog never get buried.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Search could be more robust — While Slack AI search has improved with natural language queries, finding specific technical discussions from months ago still requires creative keyword combinations. When debugging a complex issue, I sometimes wish the search understood code context better.

Thread discipline depends on team culture — Slack's threading works well, but if team members don't use threads consistently, channels become noisy quickly. This isn't Slack's fault, but better thread enforcement options would help.

Huddles limitations — Quick huddles are great for impromptu discussions, but the audio quality and screen sharing occasionally lag compared to dedicated video tools. For quick sync-ups it works; for detailed code reviews, we still switch to other platforms.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing context-switching — Before Slack, our engineers toggled between email, chat tools, monitoring dashboards, and project management systems constantly. Now, with 65+ connector integrations and Workflow Builder, nearly everything surfaces in Slack. Our deployment pipeline posts updates automatically, incident channels spin up from PagerDuty alerts, and standup summaries post to team channels via Geekbot integration.

Accelerating incident response — When production issues hit, Slack is our war room. Automated workflows create dedicated incident channels, pull in relevant team members, and post real-time status updates. The searchable audit trail we build during incidents is invaluable for post-mortems.

Async collaboration across time zones — With distributed teams, scheduled messages and channel recaps (including the new AI-powered summaries for 10+ unread messages) keep everyone aligned without requiring overlap hours. Engineers coming online can catch up in minutes instead of scrolling through hundreds of messages.

 ### 20. Comprehensive Tool with Integration and Retrieval Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack because it's an all-in-one communications tool. I can call people, use and share docs, and add notifications and reminders all within Slack. The ability to create channels for different projects and discuss only those projects in their respective channels makes communication very easy. Slack's integration with AI tools helps me with my tasks and communications. The basic feature of being able to tag people and alert them through channels is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think the biggest problem is it's heavy. I don't know how it manages data in the back end, but it suddenly becomes very slow. Sometimes it crashes, and then I have to restart it. The history of messages doesn't allow me to access past messages for free if I'm part of different groups. I have to pay for each group to access past messages, which I believe is not fair. Sometimes something important is discussed in a group, and if I go back after one month, I cannot access the messages anymore. I think that's a big pain, not being able to access my past messages.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my team communication problems by allowing individual and group chats through channels. I can create private and public discussions, making collaboration easy. Its integration with AI tools helps manage tasks efficiently.

 ### 21. Streamlined Team Communication with Room for Notification Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I generally use Slack for team communication and quick collaboration to stay aligned with my tasks. I appreciate that Slack helps solve communication delays, enabling quick, real-time collaboration. It keeps communication organized, reduces the need for meetings, and keeps us aligned with stories, tasks, and bugs. What I like most about Slack is how it keeps communication fast, organized, and transparent. Channels and threads make it very easy to track all tasks quickly, and we can also share files and code from Slack. The initial setup of Slack was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack needs to work on notification management because it becomes overwhelming with too many messages across channels and threads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve communication delays with quick, real-time collaboration. It keeps communication organized, reducing meetings. I stay aligned with tasks, stories, and bugs.

 ### 22. Streamlined Team Communication and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit R. | Revenue Data Analyst, Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love Slack most because it brings together my team's diverse communications seamlessly. The use of channels keeps our discussions well-organized, while threads help avoid confusion and keep conversations focused. The live chat feature eliminates the need for endless email exchanges to resolve issues, which really accelerates our workflow. Additionally, Slack connects with useful tools like Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, and Google Drive, making it the central hub for updates and collaboration. This integration saves time and helps keep our teams aligned.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One aspect of Slack that I find challenging is how quickly it can become overwhelming when there are numerous active channels and constant notifications. This makes it all too easy to overlook important updates. Additionally, the limitations on message history and storage can be quite frustrating. If channels aren't well organized, conversations often become noisy and difficult to follow.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the challenges of slow and disorganized communication by providing a simple way to connect with your team and store all your files, conversations, and updates in a single location. With Slack, I can collaborate efficiently with colleagues across the globe, cut down on unnecessary meetings, and maintain focus on projects thanks to real-time messaging, organized channels, and seamless integration with other tools.

 ### 23. Streamlined Communication and Instant Collaboration with Slack

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karthik T. | Database Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I have been using Slack at my workplace for over two years now, and it has proven to be extremely helpful for all official communication within the organization. Previously, we relied on WhatsApp and email for communication, but WhatsApp did not feel very formal. Since adopting Slack, our communication has become much more organized, and it is easy to find and connect with colleagues through the app. The feature I find most useful is the Huddle option, which allows for instant connection with any coworker and enables teams to quickly gather for meetings or brief conversations. Additionally, features like the Recap option, which summarizes the day's important topics, have also been quite beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The most annoying thing in slack for me personally is the profile picture option which is not user friendly to edit. The image is not fitting properly in the edit box and it's cropped. I had to try other options to make the picture fit in the box.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned before, Slack has become the official communication tool within our organization. This shift has greatly simplified how we communicate, especially with the huddle feature, which allows us to quickly connect with coworkers and teams for meetings. Previously, sharing office documents over WhatsApp was not convenient, but with Slack, we can now safely and officially share important documents.

 ### 24. Essential Features and Seamless Communication, Even on the Free Plan

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa M. | Project Leader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I appreciate most about Slack is that, even with the free version, you still have access to many essential features. It lets you organize conversations into channels, making it easy to share files and maintain a more structured communication environment compared to traditional messaging apps. Slack also integrates with other tools, which helps centralize notifications and streamline workflows. Another advantage is that it uses minimal data, particularly during video calls, and it remains very stable throughout use.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One downside of Slack is that the free version has several limitations, such as restricted message history and fewer advanced features compared to the paid plans. In some cases, it would be helpful if Slack offered trial access to new or premium features, so teams could test them and, based on real usage, decide whether the tool is worth the investment. Additionally, when many channels and notifications are active, Slack can become overwhelming and distracting. Some useful integrations and customization options are also limited to paid plans, which may be a drawback for small teams or individual users.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the problems it solves is providing a formal communication channel, allowing teams to avoid using personal platforms. It is also easy to implement and easy to learn, which helps teams adopt it quickly without a steep learning curve.

 ### 25. Effortless Team Communication Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parish J. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is great for setting up team channels, allowing members to connect both in groups and privately.
What I appreciate most is how easy it is to access from anywhere. I use both the Slack desktop and mobile apps, which makes staying connected very convenient.

It keeps the conversations organize by channels and topics.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One aspect I dislike is that messages are only stored for the last three months, so I can't view any older history. Additionally, while I use the huddle feature in Slack, I find it limiting that Slack huddles are also only available for a specific duration.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First main problem that slack is solving is the ease of message between the team.

Also it help in organized team communication by replacing the all email threads.

It also save time by different project related program in one place. In our company we have the multiple projects running so the document that is shared to the specific channel remains in the same and it is easy to access.

It also integrate different tools easily

For example JIRA tool can be easily integrate with the slack.

Some times we have to share the code block in the slack so there is option when we copy the code block in slack by selecting the text then option comes in slack to change it to code block

 ### 26. Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishant M. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

For our DevOps team, the Ease of use and integration is the strongest selling point. We use Slack as a central 'ChatOps' hub, piping in alerts from Datadog, PagerDuty, and deployment statuses from Jenkins directly into specific channels. The Ease of Implementation for incoming webhooks is excellent; I was able to write a simple Python script to post build notifications in under 30 minutes. My Frequency of Use is constant because it serves as both our communication tool and our first line of defence for monitoring infrastructure health.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

While the Number of Features is vast, the search functionality is not great for technical troubleshooting. If I'm trying to find a specific error log or code snippet pasted three months ago, it’s often hard to locate. Also, the sheer volume of bot integrations can lead to notification fatigue. Regarding Customer Support, we rarely use it, but when we hit an API rate-limit issue last year, getting a clear technical answer took longer than expected for an enterprise-grade tool.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is solving the problem of fragmented communication and 'alert fatigue' during critical incidents. Before Slack, our alerts were buried in emails, leading to slower response times. By integrating our monitoring stack (like PagerDuty and AWS CloudWatch) directly into specific Slack channels, we have centralized our incident management.

The benefit is a significant reduction in our Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR). When a build fails or a server goes down, the relevant team is notified immediately in a dedicated channel, allowing us to swarm the issue and resolve it without switching between five different dashboards.

 ### 27. Makes Team Communication Simple and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M. Umair M. | Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication fast, organized, and easy to follow. Channels help keep conversations focused by topic or project, reducing email clutter and making information easy to find later. I especially like the integrations with tools like Notion, Google Drive, and calendars, which keep updates and work context in one place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It becomes distracting if notifications aren’t carefully managed, especially in larger teams with many active channels. Important messages can sometimes get lost in busy conversations. The free plan has limitations on message history and features, and over time the number of channels can feel cluttered without strong usage guidelines.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of slow and fragmented communication by bringing team conversations into one centralized, real-time platform. It replaces long email threads with organized channels, making it easier to collaborate, share files, and get quick answers. This improves transparency, speeds up decision-making, and helps me stay aligned with my team while reducing context switching between tools.

 ### 28. Great to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela R. | Interpreter, Translation and Localization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

This platform brings all communication and collaboration together in a single location, which I find very convenient. I appreciate how easy it is to implement and how smoothly it integrates with tools such as Google Drive, Zoom, and Trello, helping to maintain an efficient and uninterrupted workflow. The customer support is also very responsive, quickly addressing any issues that arise. Overall, it is user-friendly and well-suited for frequent daily use.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

At times, it can feel overwhelming when there are too many channels or notifications. I would appreciate more streamlined options for managing notifications, as well as having access to additional features without needing to upgrade.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform addresses the issue of fragmented communication by bringing together messages, files, and collaboration tools in a single place. It helps me stay organized, easily locate important information, and keep projects progressing smoothly without the need for endless email exchanges. Coordinating with both teams and external partners has become more straightforward, which saves time and boosts productivity, all while making sure everyone remains focused on shared priorities.

 ### 29. Drives Fast Collaboration and Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RUSSELL K. | Machine Teaching Sr. Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack because it drives real time cross team coordination and faster decisions, keeping work visible in channels where we already collaborate. I use it to run discovery threads, share config files, and get quick feedback from partners in DS and IDM without meetings. Its integrations bring signals to me, like Qualtrics updates in channel and orchestration alerts tied to Sidekick workflows, so I do not have to chase status across tools. It is also a first class interface for tools like MOOSE, letting me share sessions and collect feedback directly in chat to reduce context switching. Onboarding and identity are simple, so getting set up or sharing my member ID for access is quick when teammates need to add me to apps or channels.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Here is what I dislike about Slack in my day to day work. It makes it easy for work to fragment across DMs and channels, so decisions and context get buried and search often does not surface the one message I need. Channel sprawl and notification noise make it hard to keep up without muting something important. Threads are inconsistent and easy to break, which scatters conversations and leaves me reconstructing context later. Files shared in chat drift into multiple versions and are hard to rediscover, so I still need a separate source of truth in Confluence or Jira. Integrations are valuable, but they can create alert fatigue and make it harder to distinguish signal from noise. Access and app management can also be clunky at times, like when I need to pass around member IDs or wait on approvals to add bots. In short, Slack is great for speed, but it is not great for permanence, structure, or findability.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves slow, siloed communication and meeting overload by giving me real time, asynchronous collaboration in channels where the work already lives, so I can move conversations forward without waiting on calendars. I benefit by getting rapid feedback in discovery threads and config reviews with DS and IDM, sharing files and decisions in one place instead of hopping between tools or scheduling standups. Its integrations route signals to me, like Qualtrics updates and workflow alerts tied to Sidekick orchestration, which means I do not have to chase status across systems. It is also a first class interface for internally developed tools, so I can share sessions and collect feedback directly in chat, reducing context switching and speeding iteration. Onboarding and identity are straightforward, with clear workspace steps and a copyable member ID, which makes it easy for teammates to add me to apps and channels when needed.

 ### 30. User-Friendly, Customizable, and Seamless Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shiyas K A I. | Team lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It's user-friendly and makes it much easier to connect with colleagues and others. Slack also offers privacy features such as direct messages and personal groups, which I find very useful. The preferences and themes are excellent, allowing you to customize the app's color and appearance to your liking. The huddle feature is also impressive, and the module runs very smoothly. Overall experience is so good .

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The app occasionally has issues tracking notifications, and the settings could use a bit more improvement.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has made it much easier for me to connect with colleagues and reach the relevant departments in just a few clicks, instead of dealing with stressful phone calls and constant reminders. It simplifies problem-solving and has been very beneficial for my daily work. I use Slack for everything, from sending messages and joining huddle groups to enjoying the cool and fun emojis.

 ### 31. Keeps Design Assets Sharp and Uncompressed Every Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The best part is that it never compresses images or files. When we share high quality design assets or screenshots, they stay sharp and clear, which is very helpful for our UI/UX and development work. It's veru easy to use just like a normal chatting apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The worst part is that the free version hides ols messages after a certain. limit. This can be frusttrating when you need to find an important document or a specific conversation from a few months ago.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us organize our team by creating diffrent channels for every project. This benefits us by keeping our conversations focused and allowing us to integrate our attandance machine to track office hours automatically.

 ### 32. Reliable and Efficient Communication Hub for Modern Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Syed A. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack serves as a comprehensive communication and collaboration platform, uniting conversations, files, and various integrations in one well-organized workspace. Its user-friendly design makes it easy for teams to interact in real time, whether through channels, direct messages, or by connecting with other productivity tools. My team depends on Slack consistently for our daily communication needs.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can feel overwhelming when there are a large number of channels and notifications, particularly within big teams. The limitations on message history in the free version can also be quite restrictive. Moreover, if notifications aren't managed carefully, their frequency can sometimes interrupt focused work.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the issue of scattered communication by centralizing all team conversations, files, and updates in a single platform. This has enhanced our collaboration, accelerated decision-making, and lessened our reliance on lengthy email chains. As a result, our team has been able to stay aligned, respond more quickly, and work more efficiently on various projects.

 ### 33. Fast, Organized, and Efficient

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is extremely easy to use and makes team communication more organized through channels, threads, and direct messages. The real strength of Slack is how well it centralizes conversations and integrates with other tools like Google Drive, Jira, Zoom, and project management platforms. Features like searchable message history, file sharing, workflow automation, and notifications help teams collaborate in real time without relying on long email chains. It’s intuitive to implement and quickly becomes part of daily work routines.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

While Slack is very powerful, message overload can become an issue in larger teams if channels and notifications aren’t managed properly. Some advanced features and message history are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can be limiting for smaller teams. Occasional performance slowdowns and the growing number of features can also make the interface feel cluttered over time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of fragmented communication by bringing messages, files, tools, and workflows into one unified workspace. It reduces internal email volume, improves response times, and keeps conversations searchable and transparent. This helps teams collaborate more effectively, stay aligned across projects, and make faster decisions, ultimately boosting productivity and reducing miscommunication.

 ### 34. All-in-One Team Hub That Keeps Us Connected and Organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garry P. | Admissions and Onboarding Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack keeps everything in one place be it chats, files, updates, all organized by channels. It’s easy to loop in the right people, search old conversations, and quickly align with the team without long emails or confusing WhatsApp threads As the implementation is really easy so without this professional life is incomplete.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes Slack feels a bit overwhelming, mainly when you’re in too many channels and notifications pile up quickly. Important messages can get buried, and it takes effort to keep things organized unless everyone is disciplined about threads, tags, and channel usage. Sometimes we use too much of slack and it's only slack but less or no work

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves messy, scattered communication across email, WhatsApp, and meetings. It keeps conversations, decisions, and files in one place, so I don’t waste time searching. Channels and threads make collaboration faster, reduce confusion, and help everyone stay aligned on work without constant follow-ups. And other tools available in the industry lacks so many integrations like slack do

 ### 35. Excellent Reminder Feature and Intuitive Chat Interface. A must have for every org!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vandit C. | Marketing Coordinator, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The most helpful feature would be its ability to streamline organisational communication. Its intuitive interface really makes it easy for everyone to get the most out of it, and also the ease of integrating it with other day-to-day tools, such as Google Drive, Docs, etc., is invaluable!

Also, the conferencing facility is very nice. The reminder feature is extremely useful, and the chat interface, such as 'replying to an existing message', is neat and a lifesaver. The app and the website are both well-made!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The tabular layout is not the best one, and there's no option to change it. Plus, groups disappear from the left side tab of chats if not used often, which then forces us to re-create them.

And the only thing I absolutely dislike is that if you don't create an official channel but send a message to a group of people, it's not possible to search that group. I wish there were a workaround for this thing. It's pretty random, but still.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since our organisation has remote and hybrid employees, a tool like Slack helps ensure seamless coordination. It directly enhances productivity & efficiency, thereby helping bring everyone on the same page and making project management easier.

 ### 36. Essential for Seamless Team Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos G. | Manager, Software Development, Delivery Pipeline Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for communication and collaboration, and it really helps with effective communication in distributed teams. I love how it allows us to move conversations to async, saving time and letting more team members participate. The search functionality is a big win for me as it makes finding information easy and doubles as a knowledge repository. I'm a big fan of the options to create, group, and organize channels, which helps keep things neat. Recently, I've started using lists in Slack for task management, and it's been a game changer, letting me manage tasks in a Kanban style directly in Slack. It's replaced the need for integrations with Jira or Trello. Overall, setting it up was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Well, it seems that lists are missing some functionality to filter the information. I'd like to set up more complex filters like start and end dates, but these features are not implemented yet. Also, Slack makes it very easy to create channels and sometimes there are too many, and it feels like the communication can be fragmented. I'd like if there were a way to link channels in Slack. When I create several channels, if I could set tags or links between them it could help identify those conversations that are related but happening in different places. Today I had to find the channels and jump from one to another.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for effective communication with distributed teams. It shifts conversations to async, saving meeting time. Slack is my knowledge repository with its search. Lists help manage tasks directly in Slack, and channels are easily grouped for organized communication.

 ### 37. Excellent Platform for Team and Client Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anbuselvam S. | LLM Trainer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team and client communication extremely smooth and organized. I like how everything is structured into channels, making it easy to track project discussions separately. Integration with tools like Google Drive, Jira, and GitHub makes daily work faster and more efficient. Notifications are reliable, and file sharing is very easy. It is also accessible across desktop and mobile, which helps me stay connected with global teams.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The main downside is that the free version has message history limits, which can be inconvenient for long-term projects. Sometimes it consumes high system resources on desktop. Too many notifications across multiple workspaces can also be distracting if not managed properly. Advanced features are locked behind paid plans, which may not be affordable for small teams.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves real-time communication and collaboration problems across distributed teams. It helps me coordinate with clients and project teams from multiple companies like Turing, Appen, Micro1, Applause, and G1 in one centralized platform. It reduces email dependency, speeds up decision-making, and improves transparency across projects. Overall, it saves time and increases productivity.

 ### 38. Streamlined Communication with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky H. | Event and Trip Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that with Slack, things can be as separate or together as you want them to be, which helps me keep things organized. I find threaded messages to be an extra layer of organization, where I can segment conversations within a topic without things getting jumbled together.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Group messages have a great purpose, but being able to name a group chat would help. Some things don't need to be a whole new channel but having multiple group chats often include some of the same people, can cause that section of the side bar to get too long. You could have person A, B, and C in a chat, and then A, C, and D, and/or A, D, F. In your side list where all those are found, they will all start with person A's name, so you have to click to figure out which chat it was you're looking for. If you could give each chat group a name (basically like naming a channel) but not have to create a channel for each group, it saves time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack consolidates messaging systems, making it easy to find where someone messaged us. It keeps things organized, which is huge for us.

 ### 39. Organized Communication and Seamless HubSpot Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Collin J. | Marketing Automation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The organizational aspects allow for clear and concise communications. I can separate all of my ongoing conversations and know exactly where our company wide chats should be happening to keep everything clean and manageable. As a HubSpot Partner, I also really appreciate the shortcuts and features the HubSpot integrations offer. It makes the barrier to entry for non HubSpot users way lower, as they can just run Slack shortcuts to easily find the HubSpot information they need, without having to navigate another platform.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't think there's much that I dislike, but I would say that I think group chat's should have a higher threshold than 8 people. I say this because sometimes groupchats are larger than 8, but I don't want to create an entire personal channel for a temporary group chat. I also am not a huge fan of the interface design, it feels very corporate and I think could be more fun, beyond picking your preferred color. Overall, nothing major I would change.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me and my company keep all of our communications in a very organized space. We all know where to chat, and when to chat based on the infrastructure set up. It allows us to have flexibility and provides collaboration for all us that work in hybrid settings. We don't have to wait until someone is in the office to get something done, we can do it live, by collaborating in a slack channel, or even a quick slack conference/meet. It also arms the team with useful shortcuts that enable members to work efficiently and complete tasks quicker. We also use it for business operations in Hubspot, for example if a high caliber lead comes through, instead of an email notification getting lost in an inbox, we send a slack message. We've found this to be a great workflow for staying on top of business development and really using HubSpot and Slack to their full capabilities.

 ### 40. Vital Tool for Seamless Medical Team Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan David P. | Patient care scheduler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like that Slack helps me by notifying me immediately when I receive an important communication or message. It's great because even if Slack isn't visible on my monitor, it ensures I can see the notification clearly. This helps in keeping proper communication and handling things at the right time. I also find setting up Slack pretty simple and I'm surprised at how easy it is, as it's usually complicated with this kind of software. It’s super clear and provides guidance with different options for signing in, which I really value a lot.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Something that could be improved is the AI they have. To be honest, I don't use it much because it's not that clear for me what I could use Slack AI for or what I should be using it for. If they could provide more detail or specify what people should be using Slack AI for, that would be helpful.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Slack to be the easiest way to communicate and organize detailed medical documentation, streamlining our job with organized groups and channels.

Overload of Notifications: Without proper settings, Slack can become overwhelming. Too many channels and mentions can easily become distracting.

Pricing: While the free plan is decent, many essential features—like unlimited message history and integrations—are locked behind paid tiers.

 ### 42. Stylish and User-Friendly App with Beautiful Fonts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geethma M. | IT incident coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

This app is stylish, user-friendly, and features beautiful fonts and an appealing appearance. It’s not complicated at all, even when creating or setting up an account. Integration is also straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The selection of templates and fonts feels quite limited. I would appreciate having different themes available for specific occasions or holidays. For instance, during the Christmas season, it would be wonderful to have the option to use a snow or other festive theme. Additionally, it would be great if there were features to edit profile pictures or create avatars within the app.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the teams and colleagues are in the same place, which makes it easy to communicate with everyone. After working hours, we can mute Slack, so it doesn't interrupt our personal lives. Slack really helps maintain a good work-life balance.

 ### 43. Game-Changer for Seamless Communication Across Devices in Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate S. | Senior Director, Infrastructure and Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ease in which communication can happen in Slack amongst distributed teams is extraordinarily valuable, especially to a fully remote company like mine. Being able to seamlessly pick up conversations started in a different device (e.g. start on laptop, continue in the car on the phone, conclude back home on a different laptop) is a true game-changer!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

It ends up being far too easy for folks to start and continue to communicate in small private groups (3-5 people, not talking about private channels), which tends to be problematic for knowledge sharing and SA. It would be nice if Slack included a gentle way of redirecting conversations like that into a public channel.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being a fully remote company, we absolutely require a robust real-time communication system for our distributed global workforce. Slack has been our go-to since 2015, and continues to more than meet our requirements today.

 ### 44. Slack Channels, Build Alerts, and Powerful Search for Organized Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subrajit B. | Deputy Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like most about Slack is .
Channels for Organized Collaboration .
We getting the build alerts once our build completed .
Powerful enterprise grade search for which it easy to find past conversations.
It is very light weight .

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Some dislike points I found for Slack .
Conversation moves fast for which important discussion can get buried .
history data only can be archived for 90 days in free plan .
Larger meetings or webinars required external platforms .

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves below problem for us
Fragmented Communication .
Real-time messaging, huddles, and clips enable instant syncs or async updates.
Slack’s searchable history and pinned messages act as a living knowledge base.
Slack Connect allows secure collaboration with vendors, clients, and contractors in shared channels.

 ### 45. Slack Saves Us Time with Fast Huddles and Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonali T. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

We’ve been using Slack in our organization for the past five years, and it has genuinely helped us save time. Most questions get resolved directly in Slack, without long back-and-forth, and when something needs a faster discussion, we can quickly jump into a huddle as soon as it comes up. We can integrate lot of other applications with slack is trually helping

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes my chats feel like they get lost because there are so many channels and notifications.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a remote-first company, we rely on Slack to stay aligned across the project team. It keeps our communication and documentation in one place, which makes it much easier to stay on the same page and maintain continuity throughout the project.

 ### 46. Effective Communication but Needs Better AI Functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Our team uses Slack for team communication across five geographies and time zones, which significantly aids in overcoming the challenges associated with disjointed information channels, particularly for our remote team. I love how Slack allows us to rapidly exchange information, amend projects on the fly, and easily find information from past communications. The structured manner in which Slack facilitates conversations through channels and groups is incredibly valuable, as channels expose the whole team to necessary information, while groups serve as more intimate equivalents to meetings. I also enjoy the functionality of threads for structured chat communication. The integrations and bots feature stand out to me as well, enhancing our workflow by managing aspects like time off, attachment sharing, and providing seamless ticketing systems integration and notifications from external systems, including uptime monitors. Moreover, the switch to Slack from Microsoft Teams was smooth and easy for the team, facilitated gradually without any hitches.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

While AI integrations in Slack felt clumsy and not well integrated in the beginning, the dev team is gradually improving the implementation. Unfortunately, fine-grained AI controls are available only for enterprise users.
Additionally, no one on our team is a fan of the huddles feature.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Slack enables rapid information exchange, facilitates project amendments, and helps overcome disjointed information channels, keeping our remote team updated. It structures chats efficiently and integrates with tools for improved workflow.

 ### 47. Streamlined Team Communication with Room for Document Management Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhash S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack's feature of threads. The threads in Slack are quite good and easy to navigate. They help me navigate chats, allowing me to find discussions on specific topics, even from a few years back, quickly and with precision. Also, setting up Slack is quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think document tracking could be better. I've faced some difficulty tracking documents. It would be helpful if they could, by any chance, extract the content of the document using AI or ML to make things easier for users to track, navigate, and search their content.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my communication problems, creating structured communication channels. I love how threads make navigating past discussions easy, keeping everything organized and ensuring I can find conversations on specific topics when needed.

 ### 48. Bridging the Gap Between Remote Work and Team Culture

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent H. | Audio / Video Engineer, E-Learning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack has completely transformed our communication strategy by replacing messy email chains with organized Channels. The best part is the transparency; unlike email, where someone is constantly getting left off a thread, Slack allows team members to get up to speed just by scrolling through a channel's history.

We use Public Channels for company-wide updates and Private Channels for specific projects. It keeps everything—audio files, graphics, and documents—contained in one searchable place. It’s also been a lifesaver for our hybrid setup. It helps remote employees feel like they’re actually part of the team culture rather than just an avatar on a screen (the ability to create custom emojis definitely helps with that!).

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The biggest hurdle is the 90-day message history limit on the free version. It feels like a "ticking clock." If you’re a business that needs to audit conversations or retrieve a file from six months ago, the free version will eventually become frustrating. You really have to view the free version as a "trial" before eventually upgrading to a paid plan to keep your data accessible.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By keeping project-specific tasks in their own channels, only the people who need that info have access to it, which prevents notification overload for everyone else. It creates a "living archive" of our work which leads to better transparency.

 ### 49. Seamless Team Communication, Needs Better AI Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin g. | Business Unit Head

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like the overall user experience of Slack because it's easy to navigate and use. I enjoy how simple it is to send messages, share files with teammates, and overall figure things out by myself. I also appreciate the ecosystem that includes a lot of integrations, which helps us connect other tools like Jira, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. These integrations make it easy to get all the data into Slack so I don't have to juggle between multiple tools to stay updated on what's happening.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I'm not a fan of AI features that are shipped by Slack. I think it's unfinished and not very useful. That's one of the main drawbacks I've seen with Slack.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for easy team communication and collaboration. It simplifies sharing information and files asynchronously. I like the user-friendly experience and integrations, which reduce the need to juggle multiple tools.

 ### 50. Channels and Integrations Make Teamwork Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukesh K. | BDE and QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Okay, honestly, the channels are the best part. I mean, seriously, no more long email threads with twenty people CCed! Everything stays super organized by project or team. Also, all the integrations are sick. Hooking up JIRA or Google Calendar right in the chat saves me, like, a ton of clicking around. Its just super fast communication, man. I love the custom emojis, too. lol.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Threading can get confusing. People reply in the main channel instead of the thread, and then the conversation just gets all mixed up. We need a better way to stop people from doing that. And the price for the paid plans is a little steep for smaller teams, I think.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack organizes all our communication into channels for each project or team, which means I only see stuff that's actually relevant to me right now. This makes me way more efficient and helps me catch up on big projects way faster than digging through a million emails. It just makes working with the team feel more instant and connected. We can get decisions made super quick.
