## Slack Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlined Collaboration and Seamless Integrations for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alok M. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

its organized, channel-based communication, powerful search, and seamless integrations with other tools, which streamline workflows and reduce email, making it great for transparent team collaboration, especially for remote or distributed teams needing quick access to information. Key features include easy file sharing, customizable notifications, and quick voice/video huddles, all within a user-friendly interface that supports efficient, focused work.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think its potential to cause information overload and constant interruptions, leading to fragmented conversations, difficulty tracking important messages (especially in threads or with poor search). Other common complaints include a confusing UI, notification issues, security concerns with sensitive data.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves problems like communication, email overload, and inefficient workflows by centralizing conversations, files, and tools into organized channels, boosting team efficiency, transparency, and faster decision-making, while benefiting users by creating a single source of truth, reducing meetings, and enabling quicker problem resolution and cross-functional collaboration.

 ### 2. SLACK SURVEY

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica M. | TIER ONE REPRESENATIVE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I LIKE SLACK BECAUSE IT ALLOWS COMMUNICATION THROUGH OUT THE OFFICE WITH ANY ONE THAT YOU NEED TO DIRECTLY TALK/COMMUNICATE WITH. EVERYBODY CAN TYPE AT ONCE AND THE SYSTEM WILL NOT GLICH. MY FAVORITE IS THE DIFFERENT TABS THA EXPRESS THE DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS THRU OUT THE FACILITY.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

THE LEAST THING I DONOT LIKE ABOUT SLACK IS THAT THE TRIAL PERIODS THAT IT HAS... REALLY DISPLAYS GOOD STUFF THAT THERE IS NO ACCESS CAPABILITY TO USE AFTER A PERIOD OF TIME.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT IS SOLVING HAVING TO GET UP OUT YOUR SEAT TO GET A TEAM LEAD OR THE "PERSON WHO RUNS THE FACILITY" ON THE LINE, WITH A CUSTOMER/RECIEPIENT WE CAN COMMUNICATE TO THE TEAM LEADS THROUGH SLACK AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE CUSTOMER /RECIEPIENT EFFICIENTLY

 ### 3. Easy communication within cross-teams collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhijith S. | Product Designer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like the new AI feature that let's you summarise the context of a long thread and helps me quickly find insights form the chat. Also love the new iOS update of Slack with better visuals and making it more easy to focus on the right things.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The Huddle feature is very helpful but it often has some issue if you are using it on your phone and desktop at the same time, the notifications are missing and the message delivery is not synced properly. And features like taking remote access while screensharing would be a helpful feature to add.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to group the conversation as per my need and has replaced my dependency on email for communication within the workspace. Slack has helped our organisation to fast track the communications.

 ### 4. Slack Review as part of marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jahnvi B. | Content Creator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I’ve been using Slack consistently, and I’ve come to see that it’s much more than a simple messaging app. It has truly transformed how teams communicate, particularly in fast-paced or remote work settings. Rather than dealing with endless email chains or switching between different applications, Slack provides a centralized space where communication, collaboration, and even informal team interactions can all take place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too Many Notifications: Without actively managing your settings, Slack can quickly become overwhelming. Participating in several busy channels often leads to constant notifications that disrupt your focus.

Information Overload: Although channels help keep things organized, the sheer number of messages can easily hide important updates. Missing just a day or two can make catching up feel like a daunting task.

Learning Curve for Admins: While Slack is user-friendly for most, those responsible for setting up workspaces, managing integrations, or assigning permissions may find there’s a noticeable learning curve.

Dependence on Slack: Teams sometimes become so reliant on Slack that any outage has a direct impact on productivity, underscoring how essential it becomes to daily operations.

Pricing for Larger Teams: The free version works well for small teams, but larger organizations often require the paid plan for additional storage and advanced features, which can become costly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is one of those tools that, when used with intention, can truly transform team communication. It’s efficient, engaging, and flexible, making it an excellent alternative to the traditional, email-heavy approach. The secret lies in establishing clear boundaries—setting up the right channels, muting unnecessary chatter, and encouraging everyone to use threads to keep discussions organized.

In my experience, Slack excels at keeping people connected and ensuring projects progress smoothly without needless delays. However, it does demand a certain level of discipline to avoid becoming a source of distraction. When used thoughtfully, it stands out as one of the most valuable tools for modern teamwork.

 ### 5. Effective Team Communication with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javed A. | Computer Operator, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for better communication and to talk with team members. It's easy for me to communicate and keep the team updated about the tasks. I enjoy it because I can create different projects under one workspace and separate the teams according to the project needs. For someone who has more projects and more team members, it helps me manage all the people in one place. I also do hiring on Upwork, and Slack helps me onboard them and allow them to connect with people. It makes it easy for me to manage the project as well as the team. Slack helps to keep the communication flow right, so the projects cannot be delayed. The initial setup was pretty well, just email and signup, and join the workspace.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack settings is nothing I like. It is pretty complicated. Sometimes I have to spend more time than necessary for little things. Slack has a lot of complex settings sections which are not good for me.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for better communication, keeping my team in one place, and assigning tasks directly. It helps manage projects and team members, facilitating onboarding and connecting freelancers for smooth communication, preventing project delays.

 ### 6. Reliable for Team Communication, Needs Stability Improvements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mawuli D. | Cloud Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack extensively for communication and team management. It allows me to communicate with teammates, share screenshots about problems, get on calls—both video and audio—at any time, and discuss projects. Slack is very intuitive for mapping out strategies and sharing information. I really appreciate its reliability for team calls and management. I like the ability to bookmark messages anytime, and the search feature is invaluable for retrieving important information from past conversations.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Yeah. Sometimes, I think there's just some net issue. So platform issue that things just go down. It doesn't come up or as reliable as you want it, and then you are unable to get stuff done that you really need to get done or going.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for team communication, sharing screenshots, and video calls. It helps in project discussions and allows bookmarking important info. It's very intuitive for mapping strategies and managing team interactions.

 ### 7. A reliable and easy-to-use team communication tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satyam N. | React Native Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication smooth and well-organized. I really like how channels help separate discussions by topic, which keeps conversations clear and easy to follow. The search feature is also a big plus—it’s simple to find older messages or shared files without wasting time. I also like the wide range of integrations, like Google Drive and Zoom, which makes it easier to manage work without constantly switching apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes the number of notifications can feel overwhelming, especially if you are part of multiple active channels. The free version also has a limit on message history, which can be frustrating when you need to go back and check older conversations. It would be helpful if Slack offered more flexibility in customizing notification preferences and kept a longer history without upgrading.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps reduce the clutter of emails and makes team conversations faster and more transparent. Instead of waiting for replies in long email threads, I can quickly get updates or share files with my team in real time. Channels make it easy to keep discussions organized by project or topic, so nothing gets lost. It also saves time by connecting with other tools we already use, which keeps everything in one place and improves overall team productivity.

 ### 8. An absolute must for a company working remotely

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is an absolute must for most companies. It allows for quick communication, easy file sharing (even large video files!), and disbursement of information. You can set up channels based on specific groups, which makes it easy to share information with just those needed. Pin files or messages to the channel, making it easy to find them later. There is an awesome feature where you can "remind me later" and then set a time when you want Slack to remind you about it. Or "save for later" where you can take messages and use them to create a to-do list that can be marked complete when done. You can even use different Slack accounts and easily navigate between the accounts to keep items separated. i.e. an internal Slack account with your company and another account with other companies that you do business with (clients, vendors, etc.) You can DM a specific person or smaller team. And of course, there is the integration of gifs, emoticons, photos etc which help keep communication fun! Our agency uses this everyday, all day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Oftentimes communication can move very quickly if you have a large number of people in a channel. Messages could get easily lost in the conversation. However, with the new integrations of the save for later and remind me, this is helping to manage that issue.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication! Being that we have employees around the globe and working from home, this makes communication so easy. File sharing is quick and easy. Even large files are sent without compression, clogging inboxes or exceeding file size limits. Plus, with the integration features with Google Drive, Fellow, Asana it allows us to easily link to tasks, drives, files and more with a nice preview function. If there is an issue where not everyone in the group has access to the file, it will let you know and easily adjust permissions in Slack.

 ### 9. Keeps project communication in one place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele V. | Content & Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

As an Executive Assistant supporting consulting and client-based projects, I use Slack daily to coordinate work across multiple teams and time zones. We rely heavily on project channels and client-specific channels so discussions stay organized instead of scattered across email.

One of the biggest advantages for us is the Salesforce integration. Notifications for new opportunities, task updates, and follow-ups appear directly in Slack so I can immediately assign or clarify actions with the team without opening multiple systems. This significantly speeds up response time for client requests.

Threads help keep decisions tied to the original message, especially when leadership, delivery teams, and operations are all involved in the same project. I also frequently use search to retrieve past agreements, project instructions, and shared files instead of asking colleagues again.

Overall it acts as our operational command center rather than just a chat tool.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

During busy projects, notifications can get overwhelming and messages pile up quickly if I step away for a while. Even when something isn’t directed to me, I still get notified and end up checking it, which breaks focus and eats up time. I usually mute channels or set reminders to manage it. Important updates can also get buried when multiple conversations happen at once, especially if people don’t consistently use threads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Slack, we relied on Microsoft Teams, and conversations were harder to keep in context and scattered across different threads, which made follow-ups slower. Now most discussions live in one place, and it’s easier to share documents, updates, and decisions within the right channel. I can track approvals and action items without chasing people individually. It speeds up coordination, reduces repeated questions, and helps projects keep moving even when teammates are in different time zones.

 ### 10. Streamlined Global Team Collaboration with Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria B. | Especialista en operaciones, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really like Slack because it makes communication with a global team very easy. The channels allow us to keep conversations organized by project or topic, so finding information is simple. I also appreciate the real-time messaging and notifications, which help me stay updated and respond quickly. The huddle feature makes my work even easier. Slack helps streamline collaboration and keeps everyone aligned, even when working across different time zones. Additionally, the integration with other tools helps centralize information, improving our workflow. The initial setup was very easy, and our team adopted it quickly without needing much guidance or training.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One area where Slack could be improved is thread notifications. Sometimes it's easy to miss replies in threads, especially when there are many active conversations at the same time. Improving the visibility and consistency of thread notifications would make it easier to follow discussions and ensure that important responses are not overlooked. Beyond thread notifications, one possible improvement could be giving users more flexibility to customize notifications, so it's easier to prioritize what really needs attention.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to keep my global team connected with real-time messaging. It organizes conversations by channels, helping us stay updated and reducing confusion. Its integrations with other tools streamline our workflow, making collaboration more efficient even across different time zones.

 ### 11. Streamlined Communication for Large Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay Person d. | Risk & Fraud Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I really appreciate that Slack's channels help keep conversations organized and reduce confusion. The powerful search feature is great for quickly finding past decisions and files. I love how integrations bring updates from other tools into one place, reducing context switching. The async-friendly communication is a major plus, as it cuts down on meetings and supports remote work. Quick messaging really speeds up problem-solving and helps maintain a low-friction communication culture. The transparency feature improves team alignment. Using Slack alongside tools like Asana, JIRA, Google Drive, Zoom, Google Calendar, Zendesk, or Salesforce makes it even more powerful, seamlessly integrating with our workflow. Slack's straightforward initial setup works well for any team size, and the platform supports over 500 of us in our large company.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I get notification overload, which can be really overwhelming. There's message overload, too, which makes it hard to keep track of important info. Sometimes, threads can get confusing, especially when conversations get lengthy or diverge. The search feature has its limitations, which makes finding certain messages or files a bit tricky. There’s still quite a bit of context switching, and it's not ideal as a long-term knowledge base because information can easily get buried.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack reduces email overload, improves tool integration, speeds decision-making, and connects remote teams. Channels and search help organize communication, and integration with other tools reduces context switching. Asynchronous communication cuts meetings, aiding remote work and enhancing team alignment.

 ### 12. Slack keeps our team communication fast, organized, and efficient.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad O. | Salesforce Business Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how it centralizes team communication and keeps everything organized in one place. Channels and threads make conversations easy to follow, and the powerful search function means past discussions and shared files are always easy to find. Its seamless integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub also make Slack feel like a true collaboration hub, helping our team respond more quickly and stay aligned. Overall, it cuts down on email clutter and boosts productivity across projects.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when message volume is high and notifications are frequent in active channels. In busy conversations, it can also be difficult to quickly find key information, and the free plan’s message history limits may restrict access to older messages when you need to look back.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses fragmented communication by bringing team conversations, files, and tools together in one centralized platform. This cuts down on reliance on email and scattered chats, making collaboration faster, clearer, and more transparent. As a result, our team stays aligned, decisions get made more quickly, and important information is easier to find, which ultimately improves overall productivity.

 ### 13. Fast, Organized Team Communication in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** hardik b. | Full Stack developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like most about Slack is how easy it makes staying connected with my team. I don't have to send long emails or wait for replies. Everything happens in messages, and it feels fast and natural. I also like how channels keep things organized. If I want to check something related to a project, I just open that channel, and everything is there. The search works well too, so even old messages are easy to find. It saves me time because I don't get lost in different apps. I can send files, text someone, or hop on a quick call all from the same place.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One thing I don't like is that messages can pile up really fast. If I'm away for a few hours, catching up sometimes feels a bit trying. Notifications can also get overwhelming unless I adjust them. Another small issue is that the app feels heavy when I have many channels open. Sometimes it takes a moment to load older messages or search results. Not a major problem, but a thing I notice during daily use.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication. Before using it, my work messages were spread across email, WhatsApp, and random calls. It was hard to track what was said where. With Slack, everything stays in one spot. I don't lose information anymore. It helps me stay organized without putting in extra effort. It also makes teamwork smoother. If someone needs help, they just message the channel, and whoever is free replies. There's less waiting, less confusion, and fewer repeated questions. Sending files or code snippets is quick, so work moves faster. It keeps me connected with my team even when I'm working from home or moving around. It saves me time because I don't have to switch between different apps to talk to people. Everything I need is already inside Slack, so my workflow feels smoother. It also helps reduce misunderstandings. Since messages stay in the channel, everyone sees the same information, and nothing gets lost between private chats. Another thing iis that keeps me focused is If I'm working on one project, I check only that project's channel and avoid unnecessary distraction. It also helps me remember decisions. Instead of trying to recall what someone said on a call, I just scroll up and reread the conversation. Sharing small updates becomes easier too. I don't need to write a long explanation; a short message is enough, and the team gets it right away. It helps my team members catch up faster. They can read the past message and understand what's going on without asking a lot of questions. It makes teamwork feel more connected. Even if everyone is working from different places, Slack makes it feel like we're in the same room.

 ### 14. Seamless Salesforce Integration, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul T. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I am using Slack for communication and integration with Salesforce. Some people aren’t familiar with the Salesforce UI, but since they use Slack more, our integration handles that well. It also solves the app-switching problem for me. I can schedule video calls that have good quality. I like the easy setup process too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Nothing

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to communicate and integrate with Salesforce, solving the app-switching problem. It allows scheduling video calls with good quality and supports those not familiar with the Salesforce UI.

 ### 15. Essential Communication Tool for Large Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett W. | Assistant Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I love being able to schedule messages to be sent at a certain time and date, which is nice because we have team members in different time zones. We use Slack for connecting the entire company, sending one-on-one messages, and starting group messages. We utilize channels to dispense company-wide or targeted information. It's great to quickly connect with someone rather than sending an email and waiting for a response. With Slack, we can send a quick message, start a huddle, and send files, which is really convenient.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I would like read receipts so I know if someone read my message yet, or having saved phrases that you can quickly select from to respond to messages.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for quick connection across the company, replacing emails with instant messages, huddles, and file sharing. It also allows scheduling messages for team members in different time zones.

 ### 16. Seamless Communication and Integration Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for communicating with my team members and clients, and I like how it enables quick communication in a fast-paced environment, helping me and my team stay agile. I appreciate how easy it is to use and how fast it operates. Its integration with tools like Google Calendar is valuable, as I can view my meetings for the day within Slack, all in one place. I also often use the 'remind me later' tool, which is essential for remembering tasks that I can't handle in the moment without forgetting important things. Communication on Slack is quick and easy, and setting it up was very easy too, as it was already around when I joined my company.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I can't think of any improvements other than making it easier to work across Workplaces. I often have to figure out what workspace I am in and what one I need to get into when I'm logging back in and usually can't remember the URL.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack enables quick communication and helps me and my team stay agile. It's easy to use, integrates well, and with Google Calendar, keeps my schedule organized. The remind me later tool helps manage tasks that can't be tackled immediately.

 ### 17. The best way to be in touch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diana F. | Customer Service Representative, Consumer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Its the greatest system I have used to be able to contact my fellow co-workers in a very easy and friendly manner, this has been a very helpful tool in our new easy of work from home. We keep using the system and we have learn so much in this 3 years.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes some attachments are not welcome in the system and that can be a hassle in our meetings but we can always change them and upload the correct ones in order to get the job done. Sometimes its too much for the newbies, but everything is easier.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The communication between our supervisors and us working from home, this is a great way to keep in touch no matter the distance and that build a space of understanding and great work even in a distance

 ### 18. Effortless Team Communication with Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourav C. | Information Systems Security - Masters Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack is easy to use, fast, and secure, making communication more efficient than email. The clean UI provides exactly the features we need, and the good search capability helps in finding old messages and files easily, which makes troubleshooting easier. File sharing is safe and simple, and the mobile app is also good. I appreciate the integrations with tools like Jira, Zoom, and GitHub, which enhance our collaboration. Features like huddles and immediate Zoom chats are very helpful, and the ability to track comments and progress on Jira tickets is great. Bots are helpful for notifications, and I like the status feature too.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes there are too many notifications and disturbances, which can shift my concentration away from work. The mobile app is laggy at times, and messages take a while to sync. Also, I feel there's a need for more AI features, like spell check, AI helpers, and rephrase options.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack makes office communication fast, easy, and secure. It allows us to search and chat with anyone, share files easily, start huddles or Zoom chats, and find old messages, facilitating troubleshooting. Integrations with tools like Jira and Zoom enhance our collaboration.

 ### 19. Centralizes Alerts for Efficient Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghavareddy k. | Associate software engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack for making monitoring much easier because alerts appear instantly in the relevant channels. I don't have to shuffle between dashboards or tools; Slack centralizes all the alerts and monitoring notifications in one place, turning it into the single place where issues surface. When an alert fires, my team can immediately discuss the issue in the same channel, which removes delays caused by switching tools and improves incident response time, helping minimize downtime on the e-commerce sites. The initial setup of Slack was very easy and straightforward. I'd rate it a 9 out of 10 because Slack does an excellent job of centralizing the alerts, improving team collaboration, and integrating well with other tools.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications at times when multiple monitoring tools send alerts at once, channels can become noisy.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to centralize alerts and monitor notifications, making it easier to identify issues on my e-commerce platform. It reduces tool-switching delays, improves incident response time, and keeps all communication in the same thread.

 ### 20. Effortless Team Collaboration, Needs Better Meeting Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vivek k. | Solution Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack super useful for team collaboration. I really appreciate the fast and efficient search that lets me find past conversations easily. The channels are great for organizing specific projects or topics, making it easier to stay focused. I like the chatbot for in-depth conversation summaries, which help me keep up with everything. Features like agentforce agent deployment are pretty neat because I can have my Slack ask the agent to perform specific tasks without needing to open my org. The mobile-friendly design is a plus, making it easy to stay connected on the go. I also enjoy the new emojis which add a fun touch to our interactions. The Recap feature keeps me up to date with my cases so I don't miss any priority cases. Setting up Slack was very easy, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I asked Slackbot to schedule a direct Google Meet with my client and it didn't work well. Slackbot lacks there. Once I give email IDs to Slack and ask to schedule the meeting, then Slackbot should automatically take care of it. Integration with Google Meet, Teams, Zoom would be helpful. Slackbot should automatically choose the channel specified for collaboration and schedule the call.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for fast and efficient search, managing channels for specific projects or topics, and utilizing the chatbot for conversation recaps. Features like agent deployment and Recap keep me on top of tasks without needing multiple tools.

 ### 21. Organized, Fast, and Human: Slack Keeps Work Flowing in One Place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gurleen K. | senior business travel consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

It keeps conversations organized. Instead of drowning in emails, everything is split into channels, so you always know where a conversation belongs and why it exists. You can jump into a discussion, skim what you missed, and respond without that “I’m already too late” feeling.
The speed is a big win for me. Quick questions get quick answers, reactions replace unnecessary replies, and decisions don’t drag on for days. At the same time, it doesn’t force real-time pressure, you can respond when you’re ready.

I also really appreciate how well Slack integrates with everything. Calendar updates, file sharing, task tools, reminders everything flows into one place instead of being scattered across tabs and apps.

And lastly, Slack somehow makes work feel more human. Emojis, status updates, threads, and casual check-ins create space for personality, not just productivity. It feels like working with people, not just systems.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notification overload- It’s easy to feel constantly on. Between channels, threads, DMs, and mentions, notifications can pile up fast and become distracting if not managed carefully.

Due to too many channels - Over time, workspaces can turn messy. Channels get created and abandoned, conversations repeat, and it’s not always clear where something should be discussed.

Important messages get buried - Critical updates can disappear quickly in busy channels, especially if people are chatting actively or reacting a lot.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack mainly solves the problem of scattered communication, and that’s what benefits me most. Before Slack, conversations were spread across emails, meetings, texts, and different tools, so information got lost, responses were slow, and context was often missing. Slack brings all of that into one shared space, where conversations are searchable, transparent, and connected to specific topics or teams.

It also helps with slow decision-making. Instead of waiting on email replies or trying to schedule yet another meeting, questions can be answered quickly in channels or threads, which keeps work moving forward without unnecessary delays.

Another major issue Slack addresses is a lack of visibility. I can see what other teams are working on, follow updates without needing to be directly involved, and jump in when it’s relevant. That cuts down on back-and-forth and helps keep everyone aligned.

For me personally, the biggest benefits are clarity and speed. I spend less time chasing updates, less time sitting in meetings, and more time actually getting work done. Everything—from files to feedback to quick check-ins—is easy to find and access in one place, which makes collaboration feel smoother and more natural.

 ### 22. Effortless Team Communication with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ema B. | System Engineer, Computer Networking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for day-to-day communication with team members and sharing files. It's very easy to use for online communication with people in my organization. I love its customization options, like starring channels and adding people to VIP lists for quick access to those I communicate with most. Creating channels for different teams is a breeze, and the integration with ServiceNow is super helpful for notifying about urgent cases. I can instantly see if someone is online and share info in channels efficiently. The @channel feature is handy for urgent communications, and when I post incident numbers from ServiceNow, Slack instantly provides a link. This really helps us work more efficiently and solve urgent issues promptly.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The translation feature seldom works; sometimes it translates the message, sometimes not. And sometimes even if it translates, you have difficulty finding it. It is challenging in multicultural and multilingual environments, as the translation option does not work all the time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for day-to-day communication and file sharing with my team. It's highly customizable, lets me create channels, and shows who's online. The ServiceNow integration is crucial for urgent issues, making us more efficient.

 ### 23. Slack: Easy, Secure, and Feature-Rich Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ghazanfar F. | Sr. Process Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack to be a wonderful platform for daily internal team communication, allowing us to discuss queries and express ourselves with emojis and GIFs. It's the best medium and a very secure way of sharing data among teams, as it supports sharing any file such as PDFs and Excel documents. I really like its feasibility in connecting calls with Huddl and the notifications it provides on both a team and organizational level. The emojis are the best; they really help in expressing thoughts and messages beautifully. Besides, Slack is very helpful for holding meetings and receiving frequent messages from peers. It's faster and friendlier than Teams for sharing thoughts and ideas. I appreciate how easy it was to set up and use. The interface is nice, and I can update my status daily. The mobile app works well, and it's great that I've been able to use it for both educational and corporate purposes. I'm a big fan of Slack.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

As of now nothing going wrong all are fascinating to me

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack for daily internal team interactions, expressing ideas with emojis, and securely sharing files and documents. It keeps me informed with notifications at an organizational level and offers a feasible way to connect via calls.

 ### 24. Effortless Collaboration and Organization with Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ikramah S. | Associate Software Test Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like how Slack keeps everything organized in channels, which makes conversations easy to follow and revisit. The quick search, integrations, and casual tone help me collaborate faster without relying on long email threads. One specific feature I really like in Slack is the ability to update or display my status—like “on break,” “at lunch,” etc.—and set it for a particular period of time. I find this feature unique and very helpful, especially for letting others know my availability at a glance.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications can get overwhelming, and important messages sometimes get lost in busy channels. It can also feel distracting when multiple conversations are happening at once.
Its not specific to slack, its a general issue not even a issue, when there is work, there will be lot of message notification and can get sometime overwhelming but its not something to dislike on contrary one should be proud of his/her productivity. I haven't encounter any issue, unhelpful feature yet in slack. I guess i don't have much experienced the slack, but i will make to highlight as soon as i encounter any.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of fragmented communication by centralizing conversations, files, and tools in one place. This benefits me by reducing email clutter, speeding up collaboration, and making it easier to find context and past decisions. One specific problem Slack solves for me is how quickly I can connect to an audio conference (i.e., a huddle); it’s simply effortless. It helps me make decisions faster by enabling collaboration as soon as possible. With traditional conference methods, we first have to decide when to set a meeting, and only then do we move on to decision-making. Slack reduces—or even eliminates—that unnecessary time waste.

 ### 25. User-Friendly and Intuitive, with Minor Notification Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria R. | nurse practitioner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I find Slack's user-friendly, intuitive, and straightforward design very appealing. I like the ability to have different channels and DMs, which helps me communicate effectively. I also appreciate the feature to put my status on and off, making it convenient for managing availability. The initial setup was very straightforward, as it was already integrated into my login.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't like the automatic away times when I'm not by the computer. Sometimes I'm unable to turn on and off notification sounds, which can be very distracting during the workday.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps me troubleshoot workday issues by enabling communication with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to accomplish tasks.

So, we went for its premium plan and made sure that all the files are properly managed.

Slack has also evolved into the central place for day-to-day conversations, file sharing, and even getting work done, especially through integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and our project management software. As a result, it has made it much easier to manage different parts of the project lifecycle without constantly switching between apps.

Once we got up to speed, Slack quickly became our team’s go-to communication tool. Even as our teams grow and message volume increases, we can still rely on consistent performance and a seamless user experience.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack excels at many things, but task management is one area where it needs improvement.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack's ability to centralize communication has revolutionized our team. The issue of fragmented communication that can arise from lengthy email threads and dispersed messages has been resolved. We all stay on the same page because everything is arranged in real-time according to topics and channels. Through integrations with programs like Google Drive, Zoom, and our project trackers, Slack has evolved into a central location for collaboration, document sharing, and even decision-making in addition to conversations. **What do you dislike about Slack?**

In my experience, Slack can feel overwhelming because of the constant notifications, and it can be hard to stay focused. I’m also not sure whether there’s a way to record huddles or have summary content generated afterward.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack has really helped me stay organized and quickly find the information I need, which has improved my overall productivity. Slack channels definitely make it easier to manage projects and keep everything in one place.

 ### 29. Simple, fast communication that keeps teams aligned!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I like best about Slack is how it centralizes communication and makes team conversations easy to follow. Channels keep discussions organized by topic or project, so important messages don’t get lost in email threads. It’s quick, flexible, and works well for real-time collaboration, whether you’re sharing updates, files, or jumping on a quick call. It helps teams move faster and stay connected without overcomplicating things.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

What I dislike about Slack is how noisy it can get if it’s not well managed. Too many channels, notifications, and side conversations can become distracting and make it easy to miss important messages. It can also encourage constant interruptions and an “always on” feeling, which hurts focus if boundaries aren’t set clearly.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of slow, fragmented communication. Instead of relying on long email threads or scattered messages, it brings conversations, files, and quick decisions into one place. That benefits me by speeding up collaboration, making it easier to get answers in real time, and keeping context around discussions so nothing gets lost. It’s especially helpful for working with teams that move fast or work remotely.

 ### 30. Lightweight, Superfast, and Easy to Switch Between Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alpana C. | Digital PR Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

The ease of implementation, set up and how easy it is to switch between devices - mobile and desktop. Also, it is lightweight and loads superfast. Helps me keep in touch with my global team and supports my remote role. I love how I can shelve tasks for later and get updates if I am not catching up on a task.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The free mode doesn't let you save the files, also you need to connect third party plugins to view Google docs and other things.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping in touch with team. Meet and speak with team at the drop of the hat. Stay connected with a global team whether I am at home or outside. I can also keep multiple projects and teams open in tabs in one slack account - which is just awesome.

 ### 32. Experience using slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura B. | Customer Success Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I came here to update my opinion but after reading what I wrote in the past, it is still the very same:

Among the communication software I've used, Slack is definitely the most complete, intuitive, and has a beautiful interface. I can't think of any areas for improvement... The ability to create channels with people both inside and outside my organization is amazing! Being able to make individual or group calls, share screens, connect with Google Calendar. Overall, I think it's great!

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Sometimes my Slack settings just randomly get messed up. For example, the Google Calendar integration that updates my status according to my schedule. Out of nowhere it stops working, and when I open the settings it says it’s active, but in reality it isn’t. Another issue is that my Slack no longer plays sound notifications, even though it’s configured to do so. I’d say these two things have been bothering me a bit hehe 😅

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in a 100% remote company, so it's solving the issue of distance between team members. It benefits me because I can easily get in touch with my colleagues and clients.

 ### 33. Slack Keeps Our Team on the Same Page with Channel-Based Conversations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia P. | CEO and Founder, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is the best communication tool when it comes to getting your team on the same page. The ability to have convos by channel, attaching necessary content docs for review is an instance time saver.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I’m not a big fan of notification alerts or the sounds they make (I turned these off back in 2013), or of feeling like I need to instantly answer questions in Slack channels. I think you need time to think through your response and be more mindful, rather than reacting immediately.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is great when you need a new team member to get up to speed. Instantly adding them to specific channels lets them absorb previous conversations, which is meaningful for the existing team and helps them understand the context quickly. We say it’s like “drinking from the firehose,” but at least you can control how much you consume.

 ### 34. Slack Keeps Teams Organized with Useful Channels and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash D. | SEO Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack because it replaces scattered emails and messages with a single, clean, searchable workspace. Conversations stay organized by channel, and files and decisions are easy to find later. The integrations (Google Drive, Jira, Asana, etc.) also help turn it into a real command center for teams.

It reduces friction, too: you can go from a quick message to a call, share a file, or loop someone in instantly without breaking your flow. That’s exactly why fast-moving teams rely on it.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack’s main downside is how quickly it can become noisy and distracting. When there are too many channels, pings, and threads, important messages get buried, and people end up reacting all day instead of doing focused work.

It can also encourage an always-on communication culture, which may lead to burnout and unrealistic expectations around response times. Combine that with notification overload, messy channel sprawl, and rising costs as teams scale, and Slack can start to feel more chaotic than productive if it isn’t managed carefully.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses the problem of fragmented team communication—emails, texts, file sharing, and meetings spread across different tools. By bringing conversations, files, and decisions into channels, it creates a single source of truth where everyone can stay up to date without digging through inboxes or tracking people down.

For me, that means collaboration is faster, more transparent, and less prone to mistakes. I can easily pull up past discussions, get the right context quickly, and keep work moving without getting stuck in long email threads or sitting through redundant meetings, which helps keep projects on track and teams aligned.

 ### 35. Great integrations for workflows, but easy to miss for time-sensitive newsroom communication

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos P. | Product Manager, Newspapers, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack works well as a central hub for internal communication and workflow automation. One of its biggest strengths is how easily it integrates with other tools we use every day, such as Marfeel. For example, we can automatically receive audience performance reports like the Good Morning summary directly in specific channels. This keeps the team informed without manual effort and ensures key data stays visible when making editorial and product decisions.

It’s also helpful for keeping discussions organized by topic, team, or project through dedicated channels. On top of that, Slack connects smoothly with other tools that are common in digital media workflows, such as Google Drive, calendars, and task notifications. Overall, these integrations reduce our reliance on email and bring important operational information into a single workspace.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Despite its strengths, Slack isn’t always the most practical communication tool for day-to-day newsroom dynamics. Many journalists and editors—especially those working on the ground or out in the field—tend to rely more on WhatsApp, which they check far more frequently throughout the day. As a result, Slack messages and notifications can be overlooked or missed entirely, which reduces its usefulness for time-sensitive communication.

In practice, communication often feels more fluid and immediate through tools that are already deeply embedded in daily routines, like WhatsApp. For that reason, Slack seems better suited to structured updates, automation, and internal coordination, rather than urgent, real-time conversations with reporters who are outside the newsroom.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps us address the challenge of centralizing internal communication and automated information flows in a digital newsroom. Rather than relying on email threads or manual updates, Slack lets us bring key operational messages, data, and notifications together in structured channels that teams can follow easily.

With integrations and automations, Slack also allows us to receive daily audience performance reports—such as Marfeel’s Good Morning summary—directly in the most relevant channels. This cuts down on manual reporting, provides consistent access to the same data, and helps editorial and product teams stay aligned around performance insights. Overall, Slack improves coordination, reduces information silos, and makes workflows more efficient, even if real-time field communication still happens through other tools.

Apart from that , over the time ,teams may create too many channels ,which can lead to the confusion and make it harder for me to identify where specific discussions should takes place.

 ### 38. The fastest way to collaborate and stay aligned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faizal P. | Business Development Rep, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes communication fast, easy, and transparent. I especially like how conversations are organized into channels, which makes it straightforward to collaborate with AEs, marketing, and ops without getting stuck in long email threads.

Integrations with tools like Salesforce, Google Calendar, and Outreach are another big plus. I can receive real-time updates and stay on top of deals and meetings without constantly switching between platforms. Overall, Slack helps teams stay aligned and move quickly, which really matters in a fast-paced sales environment.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack is great for collaboration, but it can sometimes feel overwhelming due to the volume of notifications, especially when you’re in multiple channels at once. If notifications aren’t managed carefully, important messages can occasionally get buried in the noise.

I’ve also found that older conversations can be difficult to track down or resurface later, particularly when you’re searching across very active channels. That said, these feel more like usage challenges than true product issues, and with the right channel organization and notification settings, Slack works extremely well.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack addresses slow, fragmented communication across global teams by bringing conversations into a single shared workspace. Rather than relying on long email threads or getting stuck in time-zone delays, discussions happen in real time and stay easy to find and reference later.

As a BDR working with global sales, marketing, and operations teams, I use Slack to collaborate more quickly, get timely responses despite time differences, and stay aligned on accounts and priorities. Its integrations with tools like Salesforce also help keep updates visible to everyone, which makes handoffs smoother and helps keep deals moving forward.

Slack is great for fast, organized team communication. Channels keep topics clear, and integrations with tools like Google Drive and Zoom boost productivity. It’s especially useful for remote teams, making collaboration and quick updates easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack is great for quick communication but has downsides. Important messages often get lost in threads, and the free plan limits search history. Too many channels can cause confusion, and it’s not ideal for storing long-term information.

Notifications can be distracting and create pressure to respond quickly, which affects focus and work-life balance. It’s also easy to rely on Slack for everything, making it harder to manage and onboard new team members effectively.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of slow, scattered communication by centralizing team conversations in one place. Instead of long email chains or missed messages, you get real-time updates, organized channels, and quick replies.

This benefits users by saving time, improving collaboration, and keeping everyone on the same page—especially useful for remote or hybrid teams. It helps reduce delays, keeps work visible, and makes team communication more efficient and flexible.

It also solves the challenge of disconnected tools by integrating with hundreds of apps, allowing teams to work within a single platform. Slack improves real-time communication, enabling faster decision-making and reducing delays caused by back-and-forth emails.

For users, these solutions bring significant benefits. Communication becomes more transparent, saving time and reducing misunderstandings. The ability to quickly search past conversations and files improves efficiency, and integrations streamline workflows by keeping everything in one place. Overall, Slack helps teams work smarter, not harder, and keeps collaboration fluid and productive.

 ### 41. Intuitive, Fast, and Seamless for Remote Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh S. | Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I use Slack for its ease of communication and data sharing in a remote setup. It's easy to use and fast, which helps me stay in flow. I love the UI/UX as well. Channels keep conversations organized, and sharing files or context takes seconds. Slack makes collaboration in a remote setup feel simple and efficient. I also find the integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira incredibly useful, as they make it easier to share files, jump into meetings, and track work without switching between too many apps.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Notifications can get overwhelming in busy workspaces, and it's easy to miss important messages. With too many channels, things can feel noisy, and message history sometimes becomes hard to track over time.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack simplifies communication and data sharing in a remote setup. It's fast and intuitive, keeping me in flow. Channels organize conversations, and integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Jira make collaboration easy and efficient.

 ### 42. Essential Communication Hub with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit T. | Application Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack is my go to tool for communication across my organization.I can structure channels by topic, project or team and do not need mails for everything. The other tools that we use like Outlook, Zoom, Jira can easily be integrated making Slack for me like a communication dashboard for day to day work. Also serves as my goto knowledge base when I am stuck at something, I search on Slack and most of the times I see a channel where the same question has been asked. Reduces redundancy a lot.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

The Search is pretty bad. One wrong spelling here and there and it returns nothing. I have seen better search across other similar tools. Also I do not know how to retain messages for a private conversation for a long time. Have to create channels if we want that, for everything.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it reduces cluttering of information. The first thing I open at work is my Slack, and I instantly know ehat meetings I have, what is my to-do list etc. Execution becomes faster since planning is taken care of by Slack. Hence productivity increases.

 ### 43. Seamless Automation and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akash Sai R. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

As a Lead Software Engineer managing multiple squads, Slack has become indispensable for our development workflow. Three features stand out

Workflow Builder with no-code automation — We've automated our entire deployment pipeline notifications. I set up workflows that trigger when events occur in GitHub, PagerDuty, and Jira, centralizing all our DevOps alerts into dedicated channels. The branching logic (up to five nested branches) lets us route incidents based on severity — critical bugs go straight to on-call, while minor issues queue for sprint planning. No more context-switching between ten different tools.

Developer-friendly integrations — We connect GitHub Enterprise, AWS Chatbot, and our CI/CD pipelines directly into Slack. Pull request reviews, commit notifications, and deployment statuses all flow into relevant channels. The Bolt framework (available for Python, JavaScript, and Java) made building our custom internal bot straightforward. We created a bot similar to Shopify's "Spy" that queries our microservices health, checks deployment status, and creates incident channels — all without leaving Slack

Notifications 2.0 and keyword alerts — The recent overhaul finally solved notification fatigue. I've configured custom keywords like "production," "incident," and my team members' project names so I never miss critical discussions, even in high-traffic channels. The VIP notifications feature prioritizes alerts from our monitoring apps, ensuring PagerDuty and Datadog never get buried.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Search could be more robust — While Slack AI search has improved with natural language queries, finding specific technical discussions from months ago still requires creative keyword combinations. When debugging a complex issue, I sometimes wish the search understood code context better.

Thread discipline depends on team culture — Slack's threading works well, but if team members don't use threads consistently, channels become noisy quickly. This isn't Slack's fault, but better thread enforcement options would help.

Huddles limitations — Quick huddles are great for impromptu discussions, but the audio quality and screen sharing occasionally lag compared to dedicated video tools. For quick sync-ups it works; for detailed code reviews, we still switch to other platforms.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing context-switching — Before Slack, our engineers toggled between email, chat tools, monitoring dashboards, and project management systems constantly. Now, with 65+ connector integrations and Workflow Builder, nearly everything surfaces in Slack. Our deployment pipeline posts updates automatically, incident channels spin up from PagerDuty alerts, and standup summaries post to team channels via Geekbot integration.

Accelerating incident response — When production issues hit, Slack is our war room. Automated workflows create dedicated incident channels, pull in relevant team members, and post real-time status updates. The searchable audit trail we build during incidents is invaluable for post-mortems.

Async collaboration across time zones — With distributed teams, scheduled messages and channel recaps (including the new AI-powered summaries for 10+ unread messages) keep everyone aligned without requiring overlap hours. Engineers coming online can catch up in minutes instead of scrolling through hundreds of messages.

Measurable productivity gains — Our delivery velocity improved noticeably after consolidating communication in Slack. Faster incident resolution, cleaner handoffs, and better knowledge sharing through searchable public channels all contribute.

 ### 44. Effortless Team Communication and Organization with Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit P. | Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

Slack makes team communication super easy and faster compared to emails. Channels help keep conversations organized and it’s simple to share files, updates and quick decisions in one place. Slack is very easy to set up and get started with. Adding users, creating channels and basic integrations doesn’t take much time, so adoption is quick for most teams. Support is generally good and documentation helps a lot for common issues. Sometimes response for admin or billing issues can take longer than expected.

We use Slack daily throughout the day for team communication and quick updates. It’s basically the main tool for internal chats, coordination and sharing files.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Too many notifications can get distracting, especially in big teams. Also search is not always perfect and it becomes difficult to find old messages if channels are too active.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps reduce long email threads and keeps communication instant between teams. It improves collaboration, faster approvals and makes it easier to stay aligned on work updates.

 ### 45. Effortless Team Collaboration and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos Z. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I appreciate most about Slack is how it unites the whole team in a single space, which makes communication effortless. Its collaborative features and integration with a range of other apps help keep all our information centralized and make sure everyone remains up to date. On top of that, setting up Slack and incorporating it into our daily routines is both simple and convenient.

We use slack every day.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I can't pinpoint anything in particular that I dislike about Slack, but one issue I have is with setting time off. I find it difficult to select the exact hour I want, and even if the time is in the near future, the app doesn't always let me choose it.

Also that it is expensive to use the AI tools.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps everyone informed and makes real-time collaboration easy. Additionally, it supports asynchronous teamwork across different time zones, which is very helpful.

 ### 46. Effortless Collaboration and Intuitive Features Make Slack Essential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas G. | production specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I value most about Slack is how effortlessly it streamlines group collaboration, allowing us to quickly create or close channels as our needs change. we also integrated necar on it and our team uses it soley through slack now. I also find the activity page and recap features especially helpful, as they keep me informed about anything I might have missed without requiring me to search for updates. The platform is highly intuitive—I depend on it several times throughout the day. New team members also find it easy to get started and navigate. if we are ever having trouble implementing somthing customer support allways helps us.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

In my opinion, one of the main drawbacks of Slack is the overwhelming number of channels. However, I appreciate that you have begun automating the process of closing old channels, which helps address this issue.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

slack helps pur bussines with project collaboration and work flow managment the most as we are constly coming out with new prodects and it also helps orgainse not only our teams and mangment but allows us to come back to an old project without haveig to search through a bunch of emails.

 ### 47. Streamlined Team Communication and Effortless Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shake M. | Senior system administrator manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

What I appreciate most about Slack is the way it brings all communication into one place, making collaboration quicker and more organized. The use of channels helps keep discussions on track, while integrations with other tools allow work to flow smoothly without the need to jump between different platforms. It's user-friendly and enables teams to stay connected instantly.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

One drawback of Slack is that notifications can quickly become overwhelming, particularly in highly active channels. If you don't manage your notifications carefully, it's easy to get distracted or overlook important messages. Additionally, conversations sometimes feel fragmented because they are spread across multiple threads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves the problem of scattered communication by centralizing team conversations, files, and updates in one platform. This benefits me by making it easier to collaborate in real time, stay informed, and reduce the back-and-forth of emails, which helps the team work more efficiently and stay aligned.

 ### 48. Slack Enhances Communication, Needs Document Feature Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I do like the thread feature in Slack. I also appreciate that it's organized, which allows me to communicate with people in different servers. Sharing images and emojis on Slack is something I enjoy as well.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I don't like the document feature, like, on the side where you can do the notes. I feel like that never worked for me. I'm not able to pull that document out when I'm doing presentations with Slack or when I'm using it in the Huddles. It's just really not convenient.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slack to organize my thoughts, prepare for meetings, and interface with clients across different platforms.

 ### 49. Comprehensive Tool with Integration and Retrieval Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I like Slack because it's an all-in-one communications tool. I can call people, use and share docs, and add notifications and reminders all within Slack. The ability to create channels for different projects and discuss only those projects in their respective channels makes communication very easy. Slack's integration with AI tools helps me with my tasks and communications. The basic feature of being able to tag people and alert them through channels is very useful.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

I think the biggest problem is it's heavy. I don't know how it manages data in the back end, but it suddenly becomes very slow. Sometimes it crashes, and then I have to restart it. The history of messages doesn't allow me to access past messages for free if I'm part of different groups. I have to pay for each group to access past messages, which I believe is not fair. Sometimes something important is discussed in a group, and if I go back after one month, I cannot access the messages anymore. I think that's a big pain, not being able to access my past messages.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack solves my team communication problems by allowing individual and group chats through channels. I can create private and public discussions, making collaboration easy. Its integration with AI tools helps manage tasks efficiently.

 ### 50. Streamlined Team Communication with Room for Notification Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Slack?**

I generally use Slack for team communication and quick collaboration to stay aligned with my tasks. I appreciate that Slack helps solve communication delays, enabling quick, real-time collaboration. It keeps communication organized, reduces the need for meetings, and keeps us aligned with stories, tasks, and bugs. What I like most about Slack is how it keeps communication fast, organized, and transparent. Channels and threads make it very easy to track all tasks quickly, and we can also share files and code from Slack. The initial setup of Slack was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Slack?**

Slack needs to work on notification management because it becomes overwhelming with too many messages across channels and threads.

**What problems is Slack solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack helps solve communication delays with quick, real-time collaboration. It keeps communication organized, reducing meetings. I stay aligned with tasks, stories, and bugs.
