I can transition a Jira ticket from In Progress to In Review, or add a technical comment directly from Slack. As a developer, not having to open a Jira ticket every time I make a small update is a huge productivity win.

When someone pastes a Jira link in a channel, the automatic preview is great. It includes enough details (status, assignee, summary) that I usually don’t even need to click the link to understand what’s going on.

I also like being able to set up specific notification filters, like only posting High Priority or Blocker issues to the Jira messages section in Slack.

If someone doesn’t configure the filters carefully, a busy project can easily flood a Slack channel with updates. It takes a bit of fine-tuning to find the right balance between staying informed and getting annoyed by too many notifications.

Linking specific Jira projects to the right Slack channels feels a bit clunky, especially if you have a large organization with dozens of workstreams. I also find that while you can do basic things in Slack, for anything even slightly 'advanced' (like changing certain custom fields or viewing complex attachments), the integration still forces you to jump back into the full Jira browser tab anyway."

1. It is super helpful to get all Jira updates right inside Slack whenever a ticket status changes, I get notified instantly and can check details without switching apps.

2. Sharing Jira issue links with colleagues is effortless; I just forward the link directly in Slack instead of copying from Jira.

3. The integration keeps our team in the loop with real-time notifications for assignments and progress updates, which really boosts our response speed and collaboration.

4. It is very easy to use and setup. The implementation was smooth, and now Jira updates are more visible to everyone on our team.

5. This connector improves accountability and transparency in the team by keeping Jira activities accessible and promoting timely follow ups and faster issue resolution.

6. I use it frequently for checking on technical issues in my team.

The ease of use and seamless integration of Slack Connector for Jira into our regular workflow is what I find most appealing. I can view and update issues without ever leaving Slack thanks to the quick and easy setup and seamless interaction between Slack and Jira. Because it saves time and puts tasks and interactions in one location, I use it a lot. I can create, comment on, and monitor Jira tickets straight from Slack thanks to the many useful features. Although I haven't frequently needed customer service, the integration has been dependable and generally speeds things and improves teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Slack Connector for Jira?**

There are a few things I dislike about Slack Connector for Jira, despite its convenience. I still need to switch tools for more complex operations because some functionalities feel constrained when compared to utilising Jira directly. Particularly for larger teams, the initial setup and permissions might be a little complicated. Slack might occasionally feel noisy due to an excessive number of notifications. Although I haven't frequently needed customer service, troubleshooting between two platforms can take more time when problems arise. These minor restrictions are more apparent because I use it frequently, and occasionally the integration doesn't feel as adaptable or customisable as I would like.

The issue of alternating between task-tracking and communication tools is resolved with Slack Connector for Jira.
